Reader's Corner: Bench Pure Mist Facial Water
Chloe the wonderfully Stylishmomy and totallymomy who loves her boys..asked me about the ingredients of my previous post about the Bench Pure Mist... to view previous post
Smile Smile!
Let me type in what it was written at the back of the tin can
A botanical enriched moisturizing mist formulated to relax and soothe skin instantly.
Combination of moisturizing actives and wheat extract effectively hydrate skin
Dermatologically tested to be mild and gentle on the skin.
Directions: Hold can at about 6 inches away from the face. Close eyes. Spray to keep face fresh, moisturized and clean.
Ingredients:
Deionized water. Chamomile extract. German chamomile extract. Lime tree exract. Marigold exrat. St. John's wort extract. Sodium Lactate. Lactic cid. Glycerine. Serine. Sortitol. TEA lactate lauryldiethyleneaminoglycine. Lauryl Aminopropylglycine. Allantoin.
Chloe dear, to answer your question, I would say it is NOT mainly used to set the whole make up, it's ideally used to hydrate and moisturize your face before we put on make up. It would be nice to use to set the whole look as well. But of course, with its ingredients, although you've seen above that it's mostly from an extract, I still strongly suggest to always test on the product first on a small area, before you totally use it. I myself did the test to myself and so far..its ok for me.
A tip, refresh your face by putting it on the fridge before using it, great especially for summer season and so far, it really helps on make-up application for both oily and dry skinned individuals. Yes, I've used this for oily skinned gals, and it works well, as the oil was wiped out before the make-up application itself.
Hope this helps.

Tip for the Day: Bench Pure Mist Face Water
**available at Bench Stores for Php 153.00
I promised you guys that I'll be posting tips on whatever I learned on my make-up "quickie" lesson with Ms. Cherry Pacheco Uy....and I will live up to my promises..just give me some time as I want to make sure I buy whatever product it is, use it for a couple of weeks before I say something about it :)
A lot of fellow bloggers I know, like sis Jheng of My Addictions would use Evian mist for her face. I would love to use them for "future" clients but for a start up make-up person like me, it would rob my wallet and bank! :) hehehe So..I'm looking for a good alternative and that would be the Bench Pure Mist Facial Water.
I don't need to break down this review for pros and cons as I can't seem to find any CON. It's really nice to spray this on the face of the person you're putting make-up on before you do a prep on her face. She will feel refreshed and of course, would feel good :) Which is really nice.
This is super difficult to purchase as it's always out of stock. It's actually located in a fridge area of Bench (which is cool). I had a hard time locating it as I always look for this in the perfume area. hehehe
Anyways, I love this, do you? This is definitely not a requirement for make-up artists...
it's just my preference...
and so far, people I put make-up on isn't complaining at all :)

Nikki

The Effects of Falsies
I never thought putting falsies to other people would be part of "my" make-up routine. But after several practice to other people and I've got a lot of "Chinese" friends, a lot of them are monolids so I am always challenged to do make-up on them that would show like they have lids :)
It takes a whole lot of practice and one sample would be Grace (yup the same Grace whom I did a major makeover to).
After her lids "kinda" showed up through make-up, I tested a falsies on her (excuse me for not curling her lashes, as this is just a trial, she's always freaked out with falsies or anything that has to do with eyes). I was amazed..like super A-Amazed with the result and the difference that I took a pix of it! :)

I know a lot of people don't use falsies..so do I!
But for special occasions, it really helps and can brighten up the whole look.
I love it on Grace! She loved it as well!
too bad she's on her pajamas and ready to go to bed...
She should have partied with her lovely falsies :)

Reader's Corner: Paul & Joe Eyebrow Pencil Swatches
As requested by Liz of This & That...here's a swatch from my previous post....
For those who haven't read it...smile..and click here!
The eyebrow pencil color is always in pair. The pencils are defined as soft and hard. (soft would be the lighter color and hard would be the darker color)
I hope this helps :)
P.S. I have to swatch them like 4 times coz the color just won't show up on my skin (but I promise you it does on your brows). So it gets more natural in real life :)
