AMW Reviews: L'Oreal Professionnel Nature Serie Oiliss Masque
The "hair goddess" in me is back! I've been slacking off with hair products review but that does not mean that I've been neglecting my hair! Nah-ah! I'm always trying out different brands of hair care products and you know what? They'll be more coming as Brother AMW gifted me a couple more and my hair is itching to try them all!
After I hit the "tub" on Kerastase Masque Nutri Thermique, I went for something GREEN ---- not my mind silly! It's the L'Oreal Professional Nature Serie Oiliss Masque!
L'Oreal Professional Nature Serie Oiliss Masque says ---
A masque for dry, unmanageable hair formulated with Green Oils from
avocado & grape-seed. Boosts nutritive benefits to consolidate
hair fiber. Imparts intense hydration to hair and helps tame and detangle unruly hair. Leaves hair smooth, healthy and under-control.
Size: 200ml/6.7 oz.
AMW says ---
Pros
- Shelf life is good for 1 year upon opening.

- Manufacturing date printed clearly on packaging.

- Consistency is not too thick yet not too runny, just right!
- Smells wonderful.
- No greasy feel.
- Does not cause dandruff.
- Hair is easy to comb, lesser tangle because of avocado and grape seed green oil as part of its main ingredients.
- Can be used even on color-treated hair.
- A tub lasts approximately 2 months, once a week usage for my hair length which is cost saving as compared to going to a salon.
- Frizzy hair lessened in more than 1 month usage (once a week treatment)
- Eco-friendly ingredients that's good for mother nature.
- L'Oreal locally has tied up with the Haribon Foundation. For every Serie Nature item sold, L'Oreal donates Php5.00 to Haribon's "Adopt a Seedling Campaign" to restore Caliraya Watershed forests in Laguna.
- Packaging is made from recyclable materials.
- A bit hassle to do on a weekly basis for people who are busy/lazy :P
- Still a bit pricey as compared to other hair masque brands.
I consider this fairly priced because I don't need a lot of product to see the result I want. I don't have "Rapunzel-shiny-looking hair" in a whim but my hair is easy to manage with the weekly treatments. For someone who loves to change hairstyles on a daily basis (straight hair to wavy hair to curly hair), my hair does not get damaged as easily as before.
- Start by using a tiny amount increasing as needed.
- I prefer applying the product from the middle part of the hair down to the ends.
- Massage remaining product onto roots.
- Leave at least 15-20 minutes.
- On days I have enough time, I wrap my hair with a cling wrap and leave it for at least an hour.
- Once itchy scalp or sting occurs, stop use immediately!
- Use a plastic spoon or scoop to prevent from dipping your fingers straight to the tub.
Yes.
To whom do I recommend this to?
Anyone who wants to have soft, tangle-free and shiny hair that smells really good! I strongly suggest dry haired individual to purchase this.
Where to purchase and how much?
At leading salons for Php1,045 (approx $24.30)
International readers may purchase this at Strawberrynet for $29.50 (approx Php1,268.50).
A closer look on the consistency and the color of the product!

AMW Reviews: Paul & Joe Pressed Powder No. 004
Happy Wednesday! Hope the morning went well for you and I hope you're reading this post in high spirits!
Remember the Prestige Sale I posted a month ago? I actually went there to purchase some Paul & Joe products that were on sale! You know how much I love the brand and how much I love the combination of Love for Brand + Love for Sales!
Paul & Joe Pressed Powder No. 004

Pros
- Gorgeous packaging that you don't mind putting out anytime of the day!
- Refillable packaging, you can put in your favorite refillable pressed powder or powder foundation. Help saves the environment!

- Multi-purpose: Can be used as bronzer, highlighter or even contour powder.
- Pigmented, a little goes a long way.
- Gives a nice shimmer but not the obvious, over-the-top glittery type!
- A little goes a long way.
- Powder does not come chalky, smooth and velvety.
- Limited edition.
- Original price is expensive!
- I don't find using the sponge to be effective.
I have been researching online to see which part of this collection is this product from but I failed! Anyone who knew about this give me a holler!
The product is a nice find especially for the price I paid, nothing beats such good deal for such wonderful product! I have to say though, anyone can easily find dupes for both shades in this compact!
Tips
- Use a blush instead of the applicator that comes with the packaging, brush creates a more subtle look!
- Re-use the compact with whatever round shaped powder refill you can put! You can use a double sided tape to make it stick! Helps save environment!
- If you opt to use the applicator, wash it first prior to usage.
- Always be "in-the-know" for sales as its always worth it!
No, I don't think I'll be able to purchase another one anyways as this is limited edition. One is enough for me.
To whom do I recommend this to?
Anyone into daily bronzer and highlighter!
Where did I purchase and how much?
I bought this at Prestige sale for approximately Php600.00+ (approx $13.95). The retail price of this is around Php2,000++ (approx $46.50).
Product swatch on fingers
Using my Shu Uemura Face Brush, I swiped a bit of the bronzer located in the middle portion of the compact.
You can choose the apply directly on the apples of your cheeks for a healthy glow, or in my case, I chose to give my face a definition by applying at the hollows of my cheekbones.
Choose to use a brush that's not too big, try to grab a bit of the "highlighting" powder as shown on photo below.
Apply directly onto the cheekbones to highlight the said area. Feel free to highlight the bridge of your nose.
Voila! Healthy looking skin ready for summer!

Now all I need to do is change into my 2-pieced bathing suit and head to the office? :O
*laughs*
I know, I'm crazy, what's new? :P

Something New: Estee Lauder Cyber White Brilliant Cells Brightening Essence
Want clearer, more radiant skin? Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells was launched a month or two ago and states to target dehydration, uneven skin texture, disorganized collagen and poor microcirculation to give you brighter, more luxurious skin!
Sounds great right? Well, if you are an Estee Lauder fan and you've
tried their skin care, you can always give this a try! No need to
purchase the whole range! You can always start with just one....
The one product from the line that intrigued me the most is the CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum Brightening Essence (photo below), when I was working in China a couple of years ago, I've seen how women flock into a skincare counter and went ga-ga over Serums and Essences! It was explained to me by the skin consultant (Note: In Mandarin lol) that essence and serum are more potent thus the effect appears in a shorter span of time! At this stage, I would like to agree because I've used a couple some from different brands and the effectivity are seen in as short as 3 weeks!
You can check out this photo that I grabbed from Estee Lauder FB page

Currently, I am still on the Pond's Flawless White range! Since the challenge is done and I can incorporate other products! I will probably inject the Estee Lauder Cyber White Brilliant Cells Brightening Essence into my Pond's Flawless White range just because, I am really intrigued with this product and I actually love to see the effect of this product.
Will report back but don't hold your breathe! *lol*
I am a slow poke when it comes to skincare reviews!
Have you tried this line? Did it work for you?

Nail Art Tutorial: Hello PAC-man!
o all boxing lovers out there, Pac-man is not Manny Pacquiao! :P
Good morning! Nail Art tutorial for the week! Yes, I'm still on a gaming mode and this time, it's a classic game most of us grew up with from Namco Games! I actually do not like playing this game because I feel like peeing all over due to tension! *sorry for the Tuesday grossness hahaha* But yeah, I could never go far because the ghosts are toooooo fast!!!
Here's my Pac-man game inspired nails

Step 1:
I used Zoya Basecoat Anchor to protect my nails from yellowing. Apply 2 coats of The Face Shop nail color in BL604. You can opt to use plain black polish but I don't have it.
Step 2:
On most nail art designs, make sure the base color are completely dry before you proceed. I used L.A. Art Deco in Light Blue to create random lines like that of the Pac-man game.
Step 3: "Cherry"
Pac-man likes to eat the cherry for extra points, I actually like cherries on nails so I've done 2 dots using Prettynails 2-way nail art pen in Bright red.
Used Nature Republic Nail Polish in apple green to create the stems.

To create a 3-dimensional looking cherries, I lined white polish on the cherry itself just like photo below.

Step 4: Pellets
Using light yellow polish from BNC and nail art dotting tool in its smallest size, I drew random dots as pellets for our dear Pac-man to eat
Step 5: Speedy a.k.a. "Pinky"
The closest color I own to create "Pinky" is the Essie polish in Splash of Grenadine. I carefully create a dot first with the brush then gently form the "legs" of the ghost.
Making sure the "ghost base" is dry, using a dotting tool, create 2 dots beside each other for the eyes.

To complete the eyes, dot a tiny black dot using Prettynails' 2 Way Nail Art Pen in black.

Step 6: Bashful a.k.a. "Inky"
Similar as step 5, I used Essie Polish in Turquoise & Caicos
Making sure the green shade is totally dry, dot on 2 white dots to create the eyes....

Also finish it with black dot to complete the eyes

Step 7: Pac-Man!
The tiny pac-man is quite challenging to do without a brush! I am too lazy to use a separate brush so I opted to use the brush from the polish itself. I used Elianto's Bright yellow polish for this.
With a lighter yellow color from BNC, I drew dots for pellets in which Pac-man readily eats :)
Step 8:
To create a more "outer space" experience, I used the Winmax polish that has nice hint of glitters to top the entire design!
Step 9:
Protect the playful nail art design with Zoya Topcoat UV Block Armor, applying even the tips of the nails to prevent nail polish from chipping.
If you have the time, do your toe nails too!

Are you good at playing PAC-man?
Any tips?
