How to know your Undertone?

Ever wonder why you look great on Beige on Brand A and look a bit different on Brand B?

Well, shade names like Beige, Fair, Medium Fair, etc... refers to your skin tone (the surface).  Have you ever thought of checking undertone?  But wait, under...what?   

Ahhh...I have been asked by this question so many times I've decided to put this up on a blog post so I don't have to retype my answers over and over again over email.  (Why in the world didn't I think of that in the first place?)  *laughs*  #SignsOfOldAge

Here are some simple tips on how to know your undertone, keep in mind that this is my very amateur-ish way of determining your undertone!  Nevertheless, it worked for me so I hope it helps YOU as well because picking the right shade of foundation will bring peace and harmony to the world!  *laughs*  Seriously, don't you love foundation shade that matched so well you don't get scared even when someone points a point-and-shoot camera WITH flash right in front of your cute face?  

AMW Bulletin: Clinique Bonus Time September 2013

Dear AMW Friends!

Would you believe September is within reach and we're on "-BER" months already?  It only felt like last a couple of days ago when I learned I was pregnant and suffered morning sickness like no other!  *sigh*  I'm getting sentimental here.

And speaking about my pregnancy and morning sickness, one of the few brands that I trust is from Clinique as the brand is tested safe for my sensitive skin!  Today, I will be sharing our favorite CLINIQUE BONUS TIME!  Come on, you have to admit, you are as excited as I am to know what color and design of the pouch they will be housing those cute samples!

AMW Reviews: LA Splash Enlightened Creamy Shadow Base in Highlight

Hi AMW friends!  Today, I will be reviewing a creamy shadow base from LA Splash Cosmetics.  I've known this brand from my "stalking-CherryCulture.com" days.  I haven't really tried any products from the brand so I'm excited to give this a try upon receiving my January Glamourbox.

LA Splash says ---
Use alone or pair this cream shadow base with a pressed shadow to facilitate blending and enhance shadow color and wearability.

Enlightened Cream Base can be worn alone but is recommended to be used with all the pressed shadows.  It comes in 3 nude highlighting shades, one smoky charcoal base, which is essential to create the perfect smoky eye, and the glitter base which can be used alone or under any eyeshadow to add some extra glitz.

Eureka Moment: Spend vs Save (Hair Oil Edition)

Eureka Moment once again and this time, I'm sharing an inexpensive find!  Once in awhile I will be posting more Eureka Moments on splurge vs. save!  I mean, at times, it feels nice to splurge just to reward ourselves but if you look hard enough, and with some luck on hand, we may find an inexpensive alternative that works just as fine as the pricey sister!
