AMW Reports: MAC Celebrates World Aids Day (Kyle Nash too!)

When I received an invite to celebrate World Aids Day with MAC Cosmetics Philippines, I didn't think twice saying yes even though 1) It is on a Sunday 2) I have to take Kyle with me on an event.

Why?

Because this event is in support of MAC AIDS Fund, created to support men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS globally.  AskMeWhats support makeup companies that provides financial help to fight HIV/AIDS. MAC, by the way, has raised more than $300 million through its Viva Glam initiative, which directs 100% of the purchase price of Viva Glam Lipsticks to M.A.C. AIDS Fund and other organizations dedicated to fighting HIV/AIDS.

So imagine, you get to be "shallow" in purchasing beauty-related products without the guilt as you are doing your part in helping out our fellow brothers and sisters.

AMW Reviews: Bare Naturals Skin Perfecting Primer

Up until today, my favorite primer for all time is the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer in Light!  But that doesn't stop me from trying out different primers especially if they are locally made!  #ProudlyPhilippineMade  #ISupport !

Thanks to June Glamourbox I was able to test the Bare Naturals Skin Perfecting Primer.  Any primer that has the name "Skin Perfecting" attached to it is definitely a must-review product and I'm here to share my experience after trying this out on various Guinea-pigs...*ahem* I mean...cute Guinea pigs!  *winks*

Bare Naturals says ---
This non-pore clogging skin primer has the purest natural ingredients that mattifies the face, keeps oil at bay and helps makeup last.

AMW Makeovers: A Long Time AMW Reader

Good morning and happy Monday AMW Friends!

I am excited to share my most recent makeovers done for a long-time AMW reader!  Nancy was originally drawn to my blog because of my Nail Art Tutorials, turned out, she enjoys prettifying her nails as much as I do!  Then, we ended up sharing and comparing mobile phones, then makeup!  That is how random we could get!

After so many years, we finally had the chance to meet, and it was during her brother's most special day!  She played one of the most important role --- mother of the groom!  Though she's still young for that, I have this goal to make her  look and feel the prettiest "young mom" for the day!

AskMeMom: Mom's Basket Cookies

Good morning fellow mommies!  I think you got drawn to this post because of the title, most of you are probably moms or are expecting to be one!  Congratulations by the way to us!  It is definitely not an easy job but a very rewarding one!

Most of the time when you meet fellow moms, they would ask if your baby is formula-fed or breastfed, not that I'm against formula feeding, some really had to go through that route and I completely understand.  As for me, it was a personal decision to breastfeed Kyle as we're hoping he gets all the anti-bodies he needs from breastmilk so he'll grow up to be a strong and healthy boy!

I am not blessed with unlimited supply of breastmilk I tell you, at this moment, I do have enough just for Kyle but not that much to stock them inside the freezer or even enough to feed the rest of the barangay!  *laughs*  I do not plan to okay? :P

I have to blame my very busy schedule as there were days I can't express milk for 5-6 hours because I'm busy with a makeup workshop or probably in a place where I can't express my milk!

But once I get the chance to be back on my regular schedule, I would try to pump at least 2-3 hours to get back to the "rhythm" and of course, there are a lot of help with my daily Tinola soup, malunggap capsules and now...lactation cookies!

This mommy is doing everything to increase my milk supply!  Even chowing down at least 4 yummy cookies a day --- yes, that is VERY difficult to do :P
