As of writing, I am unsure if The Body Shop's Pep Talk, first ever refillable lipsticks, are still available in stores as these are Out of Stock online.
It took me more than half a year to finally write about this because this got covered up by a whole lot of drafts left in this Blog.
Just in case, if this is still available in stores and you've seen these, I would appreciate it if you would comment down below to let us know. Also, if you are reading this from a different country and it's available in your country, comment down your country's location.
I have been seeing a lot of other country visiting this blog post and I would like to especially give a big shoutout to my friends from ZHONG GUO 中國! Thank you for continuously visiting my site, I have seen it recently on my blog's statistic and it gave me more energy to write more product reviews.
So back to The First Refillable Lipsticks from The Body Shop, it was a great move as the brand is all about saving the environment and using recyclable packaging. It is part of their DNA to create products that are not only good but are sustainable.
When I first got these, I was reminded by the local brand BLK Cosmetics who did the same during pandemic, they did not sustain such packaging and I wish they would!
I got 3 new shades and they are all in unique vibe!
Top to bottom shades: Make It Count, Speak up and Break Through
Let's start with the most wearable shade for all skin tones.
Break True is a blue based red that is similar to Mac's Ruby Woo but this has a cooler tone. I like how it glides on to my lips without creating dry patches.
Ruby Woo has more red pigment so my teeth appears whiter and not with this particular shade but I still like how it enhances my whole look making my skin looks brighter.
Make It Count is my least favorite shade among the 3 but that does not mean it's not a good shade. I can imagine darker complexion users wearing this as their MLBB shade or I can wear this by playing around my eye makeup and blush so I won't look washed out.
