Kyle's Pambaon

I plan Kyle's snacks and lunch every weekend.  I have a full sheet to cover Mondays to Fridays and I can't believe I have a grade schooler!

I know, I'm still on lala-land thinking I still have a baby but I seriously have a 6-year old Grade 1 student who goes to school at 7:20am and leaves the class at 3:00pm.  The first few weeks was the hardest #SepanxHits but as days and weeks go by, I find myself coming into terms.  I just have to make it visible for Kyle that I still think about him through the "baon" I prepare for him!

Thankful with the new O-Gurt from Oishi!  Kyle comes home telling me how much he enjoys his morning snack time with his favorite Bread Pan cookies!

I tasted them all, it has to pass my taste before I pass it down to my son!  Thankful that all of these 4 variants tastes great!  Kyle's favorite is Strawberry while I always reach out for Original Flavor!

Yes, school is difficult as it is, let's make the rest of his day fun and exciting!
This is definitely part of the "rotation-baon" planned out for Kyle.

What's yours?

Breaded Tuna Burger Recipe

I always strive to create quick, easy yet unique dishes when I have the chance to cook at home.  I recently got several cans of Gold Seas Tuna Chunks and I was inspired to come up with a yummy dish for the family.

Breaded Tuna Burger

Actually, I don't have enough cans of Gold Seas Tuna Chunks to create 100% tuna burger, so what I did was to add a bit of ground pork in it to make the dish more "filling".  Here's what you need:

  • Gold Seas Tuna Chunks in Olive Oil with Chili or Gold Seas Tuna Chunks in Herb and Garlic.
  • 1/2 kilo ground pork
  • Bread Crumbs
  • 2 Eggs
  • Chopped Onions
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Oil for frying

Something New: Great Lakes by Oishi

I can easily be swayed guys, give me a cup of coffee, you'll see a huge smile on my face!  That's one thing I really can't change in the world...my love for simple things!  Aside from coffee, I am also a fan of juices and milk!  I may not be snacking a lot in a day but I like to enjoy simple moments by sipping my favorite drinks as I do my gazillion tasks.

And I found another alternative to coffee!  Oishi Great Lakes was right in front of the doorstep when I was just craving for an ice cold juice drink one Monday afternoon.

Great lakes is a line of natural fruit juices from Oishi.  There are 2 flavors to choose from --- Pure Pressed APPLE and Just Right RED GRAPE.

As much as I dislike fruit juices that are EXTREMELY sweet, Great Lakes juices have this clean, refreshing taste that is not too sweet.  The Great Lakes Pure Pressed Apple is made from 100% apple juice while Just Right Red Grape, on the other hand, has the right amount of natural grape juice.

I am NEVER a fan of Apple Juices but I was actually able to appreciate this particular one from Great Lakes, it doesn't have the "bitter taste" I get from other brands.

Great Lakes is available nationwide in major supermarkets and convenience stores for Php20.00 (250ml) and Php70.00 (1L)

Have you tried Great Lakes drinks?
What's your favorite variant?

AMW Reports: Oishi Snacktacular Event 2014

Happy Saturday!
Upon reading this, I'm at Rustan's Shangri-la Mall doing a Real Liner workshop for Benefit Cosmetics Philippines.  Feel free to drop by and say hi anytime!  My workshop is at 3:00-4:00pm, I hope to see you there?

Now back to what happened last week, I had the chance to attend Oishi's Snacktacular Event which was one of the most "BONGGA" event I've attended for a food/snack brand!  Imagine, Glorietta 2 Activity Center, people crowded and I can't even seem to get in without the help of the security!  Thankfully, I saw media friend Ira from www.femalenetwork.com!

We got so excited we went for the first STOP, which I think we should've done this last!  For the price of Php295.00, you get to choose a huge "Oishi" snack bag.

Ira chose Marty's Cracklin' while I picked Caramel Popcorn!  It was around 2 feet tall and what to do with this?

You get to fill in ANY Oishi Item your hearts desire!   At first, I piled in all the snacks from Oishi then realized, I have to be smart!  I changed them to my favorite Oaties milk and some "can't live without" snacks like Pillows and Sponge!  Which of course, made my bag super heavy!  I may have left Kyle on the Foodcourt with Mr. AMW and yaya, I actually carried the weight of Kyle during the WHOLE Oishi Snacktacular event!  *laughs*

Afterwards, Ira and I decided to create our own snack!  The line was a bit long but I find the staffs super professional we reached our turn in no time!
