AMW Reviews: Make Up Store Eyeshadow (Valley)

Make Up Store as a brand didn't fail me when I tried their lipstick called Sweetheart (review HERE) early this year.

The next product I get to try is their super pigmented eyeshadow.  I can't promise all shadows are the same as I only get to try one of their shade called Valley.

Valley is a warm, gold shade that reminds me so much of MAC's Amber Lights.

AMW says ---
Pros
  • Packaging is quite nice and professional-looking.
  • Pigmentation is really good.
  • Creamy and easy to apply using fingers or brushes.
  • Color stays true even without eye primer underneath.
  • Doesn't crease or melt (on me).
Cons
  • Price.
  • Not widely available in the local market.
Overall
Creamy, good pigmentation, stays even without primer (for not so oily lidded inviduals).

Tips
  • If you have oily lids, I highly recommend to use a crease-control eye primer underneath prior to eyeshadow application.
  • Feel free to depot the product and transfer to a Z-Palette or local readers may purchase inexpensive version of Z-Palette called Wild Peach Cosmetics Palette (product details HERE).
  • Check out how I depot my eyeshadow HERE, in this specific eyeshadow, if you don't find a hole, warm up the glue at the bottom by using a candle and gently pry off the eyeshadow pan.
  • If you own more than 1 shade of Make Up Store Eyeshadow, I prefer labeling the shade name on top so you get to know the exact shade inside without opening the packaging.
Will I repurchase?
Yes!

To whom do I recommend this to?

Where to purchase and how much?

Closer look of shade: Valley on pan

 Swatch on finger.
Creamy, very pigmented golden shade.

 Swatch on hand.
The shade is perfect for any skin tone.

The eyeshadow can be easily transferred from my finger to my eyelids!
The color came out really pigmented and very easy to blend and apply.

Would you spend the extra bucks for really good quality eyeshadow?
Why or why not?

So far, I am very happy with the texture of my first Make Up Store Eyeshadow, I hope all their eye shadows have the same feel and texture as I wouldn't mind paying a couple peso more for good quality eyeshadow especially if they are meant to be used on clients!  As for myself, I could be a cheap-o, I can always rely on my trustee eyeshadow primer underneath to help my eyeshadow stay longer! :)
