Weekend Food Trip at: Movie Stars Cafe

Rewind to a couple of months ago!  I totally forgot about my first Movie Stars Cafe visit!  It was after my sister-in-law's graduation and we went out to celebrate!  She picked the restaurant Movie Stars Cafe just because it is a newly opened restaurant around Macapagal area and we heard the restaurant looks great on the interior plus the servers are superheroes!

The place was packed even on a weeknight, upon entering the restaurant, the ambiance didn't fail!  So many flat screen TV and characters and posters.

We went for dinner buffet for a price of Php699.00 (approx $17.47) per head.  Was it worth the price?

To be honest, I was expecting a long table of various food but I was a bit unimpressed on the limited choices of food!

Salads and Fish Fillet

Potato Wedges, Onion Rings, Various Vegetables and Chicken

Different Sausages and burger.
Check out the basket of bread at the left hand corner of the photo.

 Dessert Area
Chocolate Cake, fruits etc...

Yes, that was it!  How's the quality of food?  They're not amazing yet not yucky so I will just say "in between", something you can prepare or cook at home!

I was cravying for curry so I ordered Beef Curry A La Carte (Php349.00).  The beef was super tender and the curry isn't too spicy, it was perfect and I finished this dish in no time!

Okay, here's the highlight of the night!  Performance from our servers/heros/villains!

I was amazed with the dancing skills of EACH character!  They can definitely serve and dance!

We also had the chance to take a souvenir photo with Storm Troopers and Darth Vader!
They are a fun bunch!

And since I was still VERY pregnant at that time (about to pop) and I can't help but take a photo with my twin! :P

Overall, the buffet dishes, I wasn't impressed.  For the price of Php699.00, I'd say it's not that worth it BUT, it became worth it because of the performance we saw the whole night!  I wouldn't mind going back to see Spiderman, Mr. Incredibles, Snow White, and the Storm Troopers team dance the funny dance!

By the way, if you want to experience Movie Stars Cafe the way we did but don't want to pay the buffet price, you can always order a la carte (I believe their A La Carte dishes tastes way better).  If you still want to try their buffet, Mr. AMW saw a deal at Ensogo for Php399.00 instead of Php699.00!

  1. Thanks for sharing, I always wanted to try Movie Stars Cafe when I saw it in Ensogo but your review has really helped me. I think I would like to just dine there for the show. The food does not look appetizing, I hope they will improve on that. Anyway I love reading your food trip.

    Much love,
