AMW Reviews: Reven Bath My Konjac Face & Body Sponge

Let's talk about my appreciation for My Konjac Sponges!  My first Konjac Sponge is the tear-drop shaped sponge that's meant for the face!  I have used it during my first trimester of pregnancy and survived even without facial cleanser!  (read review HERE)

Today, I will be reviewing the version that's meant for the body, and not only that, this sponge is so gentle for skin that they also highly recommend to use this for babies!

My Konjac says ---
  • 100% natural fiber
  • 100% Biodegradable
  • Soft & Gentle
  • PH balanced
  • Naturally deep Cleansing
  • Kind to mother earth
Sponge for all skin types & safe for babies and children. It is designed to gently exfoliate, soothe, and cleanse all over.
Exfoliate is vital to maintaining clear, healthy skin but is often a step we forget at shower or bath time.
Best for scrubbing … A great scrub not only will slough away dead skin cells but also stimulates skin so that more blood flows to that area, leaving your legs polished and primed for increased moisturizer absorption, and giving a healthy glow. Also helping reduce blemishes.
Better for your skin, better on the environment and better for babies too!
We are all natural so spoil yourself without feeling of guilt.

AMW says ---
Pros
  • Very soft and gentle on skin.
  • Leaves my skin moisturized even after scrubbing.
  • Very squishy and easy to hold.
  • The dark portion of my body like elbows and knees have lightened up a bit after just 2 weeks of constant use.  (Without the use of whitening soaps).
  • 100% natural and biodegradable.  No coloring and additives.Works for even the most sensitive skin.
  • Can be used by both adults and babies.
  • Never feel rough on skin.
Cons
  • None
Overall
A very gentle sponge used to scrub the body.  My Konjac sponge leaves skin soft and moisturized used with or without body wash.

Tips
  • Hang dry for next use.  Never  squeeze hard.
  • Once a month, place the Konjac Sponge in a bowl of water and steam it in microwave for 2 minutes.
  • Instead of pouring body wash directly on sponge, I prefer applying the body wash directly on body and massage the damp My Konjac Face & Body Sponge with a circular motion all over your body.
  • Concentrate massaging on darker areas to even out your skin tone.
  • The sponge dries really hard, make sure to soak the sponge in lukewarm water and wait for it to expand before using.
  • You can use this sponge twice a day, first use with bath soap and before you sleep, you can use the sponge all over your body on its own just to remove excess dirt and oil before you go to sleep.
  • The sponge lasts around 3-4 months so don't forget to purchase backups.
  • Do not scrub the sponge hard if used on babies.  Babies aren't that dirty anyways.
Will I repurchase?
Yes!

To whom do I recommend this to?
Adults and Babies!

  1. There's been so much hype about konjac sponges lately but I don't really see anything particularly special about them :/ Maybe the baby washing bit is nice for moms..

  2. i've always been so curious about the konjac sponge. I tried the one from landmark and it was only 50+php really cheap and made my skin so soft after exfoliating :) I hope I can use this soon and see if it will also lighten my elbows or knees. :)
