Just so you know I am very slow (literally like a turtle) when it comes to skincare products review. I hope you don't mind as my skin is quite sensitive so changing from one skincare to another is like weaning a baby from direct feeding to bottle feeding. *laughs* Can't blame the comparison, that's what new mommies do --- do nothing but think about the baby! :P
I've recently shared My Pregnancy Skincare Regimen last year and so far, after giving birth, I've decided to use the brand meant for sensitive skin (as my hormones are a bit wild for the first 3 months after giving birth) so I went back to my trustee Clinique 3-Step Skincare System and finally tried the new Clinique DDML+. Why the need to change if the ones I'm using works? Well..that's the JOY of being a beauty blogger! *lol* Even if I'm not a beauty blogger, you'll see me stalking aisles after aisles of different skincare brands as me and my brother were born product testers! (Yup! My brother shares the same sentiments as I do, try as much as you can, life is too short! ) *laughs*
February of last year, I've tried Estee Lauder's ANR and posted a detailed review. I have shared the bottle with my Mom-in-law who loves taking care of her skin as much as I do and guess what? She loved it as much as I do! Once we're done with the bottle, she went ahead and repurchased another one! As for me, I went ahead to test other skincare brands! Who would've thought I'll be going back trying out the ANR line? This time it has "II" written on its' bottle, meaning, it is their most comprehensive, most advanced serum as of date!
The NEW Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II (ANR II) was said to dramatically reduce the look of every key visible sign of aging. I agree on how lines are reduced as the first one was able to do that! The old ANR gives an effect of smoother, hydrated skin and the new ANR II promises to make it even more translucent and even toned than ever! I can't wait to share this product with my MIL again
(copied from Estee Lauder, the product promises the following)
- Anti-Pollution Technology – comprehensive technology including encapsulated Alkyl Guanine Transferase (AGT) helps to reduce the appearance of visible damage caused by every major environmental assault including ozone, pollution and UV rays.
- Daily Prevention – features a powerful blend of anti-oxidants to help to neutralize up to 90% of environmentally-generated free radicals before they can damage skin’s appearance. With less damage to repair from the day, skin can look younger into the future.
- Continuous Hydration – delivers vital levels of Hyaluronic Acid to create the optimal conditions skin needs to maximize its natural repair processes while also instantly and deeply hydrating and comforting skin.
Priced at Php5,300 (approx $120.45) available in Rustan's Makati, Shangri-la, Alabang, Gateway, Cebu and Essenses Rockwell. It is really pricey for a serum but I highly recommend this for people in the late 20's or early 30's above! This 50ml can last me and my mom-in-law 4 months of continuous usage as a little goes a long way!
Now is the perfect time for me to match my ANR II with its partner Eye Cream. I haven't hit the pan yet with Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex and I got another sample size of it which will last me even longer!
I'm not really a fan of using the same brand from facial wash to moisturizer, serums and eye creams but this is the perfect chance to also try the Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Triple-Action Cleanser/Toner/Makeup Remover. I love that this product has multi-uses! I've actually started to use this and this can remove regular makeup but NOT waterproof makeup so an extra step of makeup removal is still needed to ensure clear skin before you go to sleep.
Do you like to use the same brand for your skincare regimen or do you prefer to mix and match different brands?
I usually enjoy mixing and matching different brands so this will be a 2nd for me (after Clinique 3-Step System).
