AskMeMom: Mom's Basket Cookies

Good morning fellow mommies!  I think you got drawn to this post because of the title, most of you are probably moms or are expecting to be one!  Congratulations by the way to us!  It is definitely not an easy job but a very rewarding one!

Most of the time when you meet fellow moms, they would ask if your baby is formula-fed or breastfed, not that I'm against formula feeding, some really had to go through that route and I completely understand.  As for me, it was a personal decision to breastfeed Kyle as we're hoping he gets all the anti-bodies he needs from breastmilk so he'll grow up to be a strong and healthy boy!

I am not blessed with unlimited supply of breastmilk I tell you, at this moment, I do have enough just for Kyle but not that much to stock them inside the freezer or even enough to feed the rest of the barangay!  *laughs*  I do not plan to okay? :P

I have to blame my very busy schedule as there were days I can't express milk for 5-6 hours because I'm busy with a makeup workshop or probably in a place where I can't express my milk!

But once I get the chance to be back on my regular schedule, I would try to pump at least 2-3 hours to get back to the "rhythm" and of course, there are a lot of help with my daily Tinola soup, malunggap capsules and now...lactation cookies!

This mommy is doing everything to increase my milk supply!  Even chowing down at least 4 yummy cookies a day --- yes, that is VERY difficult to do :P

Thanks to Mom's Basket owner Dea for sending me a tupperware of lactation cookies, just in time when I'm trying to do everything to get my milk supply back since Kyle's appetite is increasing nowadays.  Dea is also a dear AMW reader that's why we connected right away :D

Dea has always been baking cupcakes and cookies and started to make lactation cookies when her daughter turned 6 months last September when her milk supply decreased! (thank God!  I'm not the only one!)  Then she also make several batches for her sister-in-law and friends who are also breastfeeding, from there, she get more requests and finally decided to create her own FB page --- Mom's Basket

What I like about Mom's Basket cookies is that they are baked fresh upon order and each cookie contain brewer's yeast, rolled oats and flax seed meal --- all of these help increase milk supply!

Each pack has 28 pieces that is good for 1 week supply.  Recommended consumption is 4 pcs a day but you can have as many as you want.  The 3 variants for the moment are ---
  • Classic Oatmeal Php299.00
  • Chocolate Oatmeal Php339.00
  • Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Php339.00

So far, I have tried this for a week but not 4 in a day, at times, I get more than 4 but there were days I only get to eat 1 or 2!  But so far, with the help of constant Tinola Soup drinking PLUS the power of positivity...my milk supply did increase!
