Pink Sugar x Project Vanity These Lips Don't Lie Review

Pink Sugar x Project Vanity is back with another set of their "These Lips Don't Lie Matte Lip Crayons" and I'm one of the many who got intrigued to try out the newest shades from this collaboration.

Their first set was a huge success (posted HERE) and another collaboration between the two didn't come off as a surprise for me!

Housed in the same Lip Crayon packaging, I actually prefer the names they came up with because they reminded me so much of the recent songs I hear on the radio! #MumeMillenial

Swatch

Sorry Not Sorry
is called a "peachy cinnamon" shade according to Liz of Project Vanity, I call this my "rusty copper" color that I can't seem to have a similar shade in any of my lipstick collection!  It can pass up as a brown shade with a hint of orange!

Just A Fling
This color appears to be like Sorry Not Sorry on me but in a more lighter shade.  I like how it can brighten up my face (even with a hint of orange tone to it).  This is actually my favorite shade among the 3.

I Can't Even
A rose medium red shade that looks quite sexy if you apply this with dark eye makeup!  I like how this particular medium red shade can be worn by most Filipinas without looking too "made up" or too harsh on the appearance.

All 3 shades created for this 2nd batch of collaboration are very friendly to our skintones.  I like how they appear "natural" yet it has an instant "effect" to your overall look upon application.

Just like the previous experience on using the Pink Sugar x Project Vanity These Lips Don't Lie Crayons, they all have a demi-matte finish (which can easily turn matte with just a dab of clean tissue and set with powder).

Pigmentation is good.  You get a good color in one swipe but I feel like applying twice would give me the best appearance.  The crayons would work well on most lips but for users with particularly dry lips like I do, "prepping" is very important, though it does not and NEVER settled into my lip lines, it does have that drying feeling midday (just because I have extremely dry lips).  A dab of your favorite lip balm would always work!

Pink Sugar x Project Vanity These Lips Don't Like Crayons collection is available in  SM Beauty and Watsons for Php399.00.  For more brand and product information, follow them on Facebook and Instagram

Which among the 3 shades is your pick?

  1. I can't even looks awesome on you. I am not so crazy about the other two shades as they add up years to your face.

  2. I have one from the first batch of shades which is the Ready in Five. It is so creamy and pigmented. Among the three shades I like the Sorry not sorry. I'm really into browns lately.

  3. Love at first is my all time favorite in this collection. Though I find Sorry not sorry unique.
