At first, I thought this works just as an exfoliator. The feel is really like that of a "loofah sponge" and I literally can see dry skin being scrubbed away! During application, lips feel dry but giving it some time, I was surprised to see that Bam Balm also moisturizes my lips at the same time of exfoliation. Because of my super dry lip situation, the hydration is not enough but I appreciate the fact that it doesn't leave my lips looking extremely dry and in pain.Zoom in "after" photo to see some flakiness after exfoliation but see the natural shine on my lips! Nice ha!

My favorite! This product can actually hydrate my dry lips pretty well without the waxy feel. I like how it gets absorbed immediately onto my lips so I can immediately apply my favorite matte lipstick without disturbing its' texture. The moisture lasts approximately 2-3 hours and reapplication is needed.

I like to use both together. Because of my unique dry lips situation, I prefer to exfoliate gently every morning and evening and re-hydrate my lips with AloeHa! several times between the day! If you have normal supple lips, you don't need to use Bam Balm as often as I did and maybe do it once a day or once every 2 days just to keep lips hydrated and healthy.
Bam Balm is not only for those with dry lips but for ALL lipstick wearers! Exfoliating those lipstick pigments is a way to keep lips looking healthy and young. Yes, lip lines can age you!
Overall, I am happy with this locally-made, organic product! I am loving the price points too!
