When I was around 10 years old, I chanced upon a book from our old bookshelf entitled "On Becoming A Woman". Because of my "curiosity NEVER kills a cat" nature, I took that book and read it! My sister saw me reading it and nearly took the book away but I promised her I'm just looking at the "illustrations"
(the book has simple illustrations by the way) but in reality, I was reading the book word-per-word, cover to cover.
As mature as I was for the age of 10, I do understand some of the tips on how to become a woman.
- Hair and makeup - check
- Nice, crisp outfit that makes you feel comfortable - check
- Confidence - Check
- Dating - Check
- And to take care of your "down under" --- ahhmm... what's that?
And obviously, I kept mum about it and felt it is taboo to ask about this topic from family and friends. Fast-forward to today, as women are more open and aggressive in terms of their sexuality, career and family life. I think it is time for me to be open and share to women (even the younger ones reading this post) on how important personal hygiene is! Good hygiene can definitely add up to women's confidence. And we talk about good hygiene, aside from the usual hair, face and body care, it is but normal to tackle and focus on hygiene "down there".
And thankfully, I won't be typing this post away randomly because I recently attended an event that is focused on the utmost importance of Feminine Hygiene.
