Style Series: Zoom Meeting OOTD and Makeup

This week, my body is going crazy!  There are days I get too sleepy and there are days I just can't sleep (talk about 3:30am sleep time!)  Do you have the same experience?

Thankful that there are some "normal" things happening in an unusual way!  EVENTS!  How long ago was the last event I attended?  4?  5 Months ago?

So when I got an invite to attend a ZOOM EVENT c/o Freshlook and Air Optix together with Teviant Makeup, I knew I had to clear up my crazy schedule.

It was worth it!  For this particular 1.5 hours event, I wore my Freshlook contact lens in Pure Hazel.  Yup, obviously..that's my favorite shade!

Because I knew Teviant's creator, celebrity Make Up Artist Albert Kurniawan would be around to talk and share tips on eye makeup, I kept my eyes bare and applied light base makeup (aka Concealer and face powder).

Because I wanted to wear this outfit the whole day and not waste "laundry" time (yup, this momma has no house help!) so I've decided to wear something I can actually move around and be a "mom" after the said E-vent!

The top is zippered all the way back and the shorts is super comfortable by the way!  Obviously, I like wearing slippers!  This is the soft version very comfortable on feet (by Oxy Original).

Keeping my hair straight and simple and pulled my bangs with a pair of lips because my bangs are getting in my way!

AMW Gift Ideas: Gift of Sight and Color

Hey AMW friends!  It's the month of December and we have a couple of days left before Christmas!  Are you panic-gift-shopping?  I SUPER AM!

I've been busy for the whole year (you're probably rolling your eyes now mustering --- "obviously"!)  Well, one thing that I hate doing is to shop especially when I have an active toddler with me!  So most of the gift-gifting list that I do are quite friendly not only on the pocket, but for busy-beees!

In between beauty, fashion, mommy and food talks, I will be inserting "AMW Gift Ideas" every now and then so please watch out for it!  And who knows?  I will also be announcing a winner from random commenter to receive a "Care Package from AMW!"  Because...it's Christmas!  I feel like ...giving!

So back to the first gift idea for the year 2016 --- the Gift of Sight and Color.

I almost screamed for joy when I received these gift certificates from a good Blogger Friend.

Okay, I looked "stoic" but I was screaming deep inside.  This friend of mine knew how much I got converted into using colored contacts on special events, photoshoots, etc....

That's me, with only 1 hour of sleep wearing FreshLook^®Color Contact Lens in Brown.  It may not look like I'm wearing anything but it made my eyes look a bit bigger and more alive, since I'm literally dying inside!  *laughs*

How I Instantly Change the Way I Feel and Look!

I am one of those girls you would call "boring", "conventional", "very simple".  That's why if you follow me on IG stories, you'll see that most makeup looks I do are on the low-key version, easy-to-do, wearable for everyday and most importantly, apt for my age.

But there are days really that changing a regular MLBB shade of lipstick to something dark and vampy won't do the cut, there are days I just want to feel and look different, on days I want my photo to stand out even if I have minimal makeup on, just like the photo below.

Can you spot anything different?

Did it take long for you to see the difference?  I'm sure a lot of you already spotted it, I'm wearing colored contacts and it made a HUGE difference right?  For the particular photo, I wore AIR OPTIX^® Colors in Green.

All thanks to my Beauty Blogger friend Marj Sia for pushing me to try out other shades!  I've always been the "boring" girl even with contacts!  I've used FreshLook^® Illuminate Dailies in Rich Brown for several of my close-up shots because it enhances my eye shape yet it doesn't give a drastic change for you to notice!

And yes, such product exist!  I didn't believe the name of the product until I used it on 20 participants and it worked for ALL OF THEM!

I'm off to a mall today for a quick event then I'm definitely heading to National Bookstore to buy Kyle a new book!  Yes, my son is a bookworm and I'm proud of him!  So yes, I'm a type of mom who can't come home without buying even the smallest thing for my family so I guess that means...I have to work hard because I have to have the budget to buy!  *hahaha*  

But on to a serious note, my son really loves books and he chooses them over any toy anyday!  So I'm so happy when I received a package from Scholastica telling me how you can purchase books up to 80% off!  Seriously, full-priced books are so expensive so I'm happy to share this discovery!

I haven't been to the warehouse yet as the place is quite far from where I live, but to those of you who frequent around Pasig area, do take a look and share the gift of learning to your kids!
