Askmewhats Reviews: Revlon Bare It All

Revlon Bare It all Lustrous Powder is part of the Limited Edition Collection. I got this last year but after months, I can still see them selling this at Revlon Stands. I bought mine in Pink-a-boo which is light, very shimmery and barely Pink color.

Revlon Says ---

Accent your allure! A whisper of lightly illuminated radiance delicately accents your face or body. Feather-light, loose powder formula provides subtle illumination while letting your skin shine through. Feminine puff applicator with dainty satin bow caresses skin with seductive color. Dust over face for a light veil of soft illumination or use to subtly highlight the décolleté. Available in a range of 4 softly lit shades to complement a range of skin tones.

Askmewhats says ---

Pros
  • lustrous, shimmery, glitters are not huge
  • easy to apply
  • puff is soft and can easily apply to larger areas like your arms, neck, shoulder areas
  • lasts
Cons
  • a bit messy, when sealed, it can still be scattered around the puff and every time you pull out the puff, a lot of shimmery powders will be wasted (refer to the photo above)
  • puff is hard to wash, it doesn't dry easily
  • doesn't come cheap almost Php1,000
Askmewhats Tips
  • Use a powder brush instead of puff that comes together with this product for hygiene purpose
  • Put some on this lustrous powder on top of the Mineral Veil (for MMU users), finishing powders, or even your pressed powders before retouching to create a fresh glowy look.
  • Apply this just below your eyes to create a glowy/awake look
I personally am not a shimmery powder user.
But this would do great especially on days you have to wear a strapless dress or a spaghetti strapped gown. Gently pat it all over your body and you'll look great!

Will I repurchase?

No for now, still have a whole lot left!

Weekend Food Tripping at: La Maison

My high school friend Carol will be leaving for a job in Singapore for good. We just had to meet up for a mini reunion to bid her "Bon Voyage". What's a good reunion but to have a good meal?

This is a restaurant we never tried and it's great to try out something new. We arrived a bit late..hehehe so it shows with our food pictures as most of them are either half-eaten or was touched! So sorry for the bad food presentation. *blushes*

Here's a photo of their really interesting bread. A normal bread and the black bread is made of "Squid Ink". Hahaha don't worry, it sounds and looks gross but it tastes like regular bread :)

Next is the Aglio Olio Barkada (Php290.18 approx $7.00) (this is white spaghetti made with Olive Oil)

The next picture is called the Seafood marinara Barkada, (Php325.89, approx $7.50) by the way, to non Tagalog speakers out there, Barkada means PEER, group of friends, when you see Barkada in any menu, it just means good for sharing

Oooh I'm embarrassed with this next picture..hahaha this is supposed to be the Paradise Fish Barkada, (php482.14 or approx $11.00) fried fish with yummy tartar sauce.

Last but not the least, this is their yummy Baby Back Barkada. (Php696.43 or approx $16.00) I am not a rib eater but this one is so juicy and the serving is quite big and it's cheap!

Overall, we had a lovely dinner and all the food in this restaurant is affordable and their staffs are super friendly and helpful!!! We will definitely come back.

Here's a photo of the girls after a hearty meal! :)

L-R Gwen (just had a baby, she still looks great!), Zara (wearing Zara shirt), Me and my dear friend Carol who's leaving for Singapore.

To my dear Yummy411, here's some photos from my wedding last Oct 2007 (the happiest day of my life). Enjoy :)

And since this is a make-up blog, below is a close-up of my very simple eye make-up.

For my married readers, how's your wedding day?
Any wedding pictures to share?
For the single readers, do you have any dream wedding?
My wedding wasn't a perfect wedding,
but given the chance to go back in time,
I would do the same over and over again!

Askmewhats Version: "Our Wedding Motiff" Look

Note: Thanks to Lurve for letting me know this entry wasn't posted at all :) I didn't even know!

I got married to my wonderful bestfriend and highschool sweetheart last year -- October.
We got a lot of stuffs in mind and the wedding motiff isn't even a big issue to us.
He loves blues and I adore pinks
We wanted to blend them both and it looked wonderful on our wedding day.

With eye make up, aside from practice, experimenting is the key to a good eye makeup.
I tried the blues of my hubby and the pinks of mine and I added up my next favorite..
Purples

By the way, I used all NYX products here
and
Here's my EOTD...

Products Used (eyes only) ---
  • Vaseline (for the loose powders to stick)
  • NYX single e/s Atlantic
  • NYX single e/s Cherry
  • NYX pearl mania in Turquoise (on top of the NYX Atlantic)
  • NYX pearl mania in Purple (on top of NYX cherry)
  • NYX Chrome Shadows in Queen (as highlight)
NYX Chrome e/s and Pearl mania are all loose powders and I find it a bit messy to apply, I pat on loose powders just below my eyes (as an e/s blanket) so it's easier to clean up the mess.

You wouldn't see me wearing loud colors, but don't get me wrong, I love vibrant colors :)
Hope you guys like it
It did brought me down to memory lane...
Wedding bells...
awwww...
