Askmewhats Reviews: Thevi Triple Split Shadow and Matte Shadow

A lot of readers thought the PINK shadow is a blush, I can't blame them, I myself thought it was a blush the first time I saw this.

I have used these 2 products for 2 days straight and I can say, I can do a review on this. I will definitely be using this to other people as well. So if there will be any changes, I will definitely report back!

Here's my EOTD using the Thevi Triple Split Shadow in Venice. I numbered them so you'll see how I've used them! NOTE: No base was used, I just applied the e/s directly

** No. 4 I've used the Thevi Matte Shadow in Pink
a lot of BLEND BLEND BLEND

Here's the result

I've also used the Thevi Matte Shadow in Pink
as my
BLUSH

Here's my newly made-up eyes

And here's how it looks like after 8hours of shopping and dinner
yup, no creasing, no fading

** sorry, I didn't adjust the camera setting already so it looks yellow
in real life, it still looks the same as the original photo

Thevi Cosmetics says ---

Matte Shadow ($20.00)

For everyday seduction, nothing beats the power of an artfully made up eye. This vibrant, velvet-smooth color glides on quickly, blends easily and stays fresh and crease-free for hours. In shades that show up on darker skin. Long lasting, triple-milled powder is crease-resistant and water-proof. Formulated with skin-conditioning Vitamin C and E. Hypoallergenic. Mineral oil-free.

Triple Split Shadow ($22.00)

Color coordinated eye shadow, for a finished look, in shades that show up on darker skin. Rich, triple-milled colors with a velvety finish glide on smoothly, blend beautifully and cling for hours. Water-proof. Crease-resistant. Formulated with skin-conditioning Vitamin C and E. Hypoallergenic. Mineral oil-free.

Askmewhats says ---

Pros
  • the colors are indeed very pigmented
  • very fine and easy to blend, I seriously spent half the time doing my eye make-up
  • definitely crease-free (I did not use any UDPP or base and the photo speaks for itself)
  • the colors stayed on no matter how hot it is here in Manila
  • the packaging is really scratch resistant and very sleek!
Cons
  • expensive
  • and even more expensive if I ship internationally

Overall

I find the Thevi Triple Split Shadow and the Matte Shadow very luxurious. You can definitely feel the quality of the product as you use them. I find the colors of the Triple Split Shadow really complimented each other and you just can't go wrong. I find the matte shadow in pink works better on my cheeks than my eyes! I have checked with Thevi's Internet Marketing Manager Connie on shipments worldwide and she said Thevi does ship internationally but we have to email them to check on the shipping rates as it depends on how many you will purchase. (so that's a good news to us international readers)

I would love to buy more of their colors but I find due to the price, there will always be some dupes out there. But because of it's crease-resistance and water-proof, I would probably invest on colors that I can use for important events such as weddings.

Will I repurchase?

I think the Triple Shadow has more chance for me to repurchase as you get 3 colors in 1. It will probably boils down to how much their international shipping rate would cost.

Other Thevi products will be reviewed soon!
How'd you like this look?
You be the judge! (please don't do the Simon Cowell on me, ok?)

My Paul & Joe "Freebie" Luggage

A lot of my readers are probably wondering how I got a hold on a lot of Paul & Joe goodies.
Clarification...
I don't work for Paul & Joe, Paul & Joe doesn't pay me to do reviews for their products...
I have my own reasons...
One of them would be --- I am in love with their products because they work for me
But why all the hauls and stocking up???
I will tell you my secret...my deep dark secret....
It started with their luggage....
I call it...Love at first Sight!

When I attended their CAS cosmetic fair, they have a wide range of products on sale and a lot of freebies! (Yes, it is a great marketing tool, a very effective one) I attended the fair armed with a list of products I need (which ain't long I assure you), but everytime I am ready to leave, they have a freebie to show me but I have to reach a certain amount. I am not a weak person, I can easily say "no" and walk away. But just this once...just this once...I got weak on my knees. I have no choice but to stock up on eyebrow pencils, foundation, mascaras, eyeliners, etc...!

Just to get this!

Here's how it looks like inside

I've used this for make-up gigs as I am such an "OC" person, I would also bring hair dryer, hair brushes, clips, gel, mousse, etc... I don't do hair professionally but I'm a "girl scout" *salutes*

I am not being defensive or anything...
but yeah...
blame it on the luggage!
*winks*

Thevi Cosmetics

** note: HEAVY POST

I was contacted by Thevi Cosmetics to do a review on their products. First thing I do? I check their website. I was a bit hesitant at first as the first thing I check is the shipping. Do they ship internationally? And wait a minute, do they know where I am located?

I sent an email to Connie at once telling her I'm not from the US and I'm located in one of the 7,107 islands in the Philippines (lol, of course I just stated it in simpler terms --- I am from Manila, Philippines!) Connie said it's still ok and she wanted me to do a review for their products.

I am a researcher, a super curious researcher! I've read about the Thevi brand and understand their company mission. What caught my eye is this

Inner Beauty Made Visible

I said yes and I'll definitely do an in-depth review on this for consumers like me who wants to buy products that are "worth it" and products that would bring out the inner beauty in us!

And this package is one example of inner beauty --- what's beautiful are inside LOL
(gosh I am joking again!)

The Lovely Box Wonderful brochure with all product information and prices!
I also received a lovely letter from the president of Thevi Cosmetics
Ms. Thevaki Thambirajah

We have to take a photo of the back of the brochure as they obviously took time and a lot of effort in creating this wonderful brochure. I like it that they included in the brochure the different product lines with different color selections! I don't need to open the website again and again just to check out the colors/prices/products!

Here's what I got for review :

Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation with SPF 15 in Sandy Beige ($32.00)
Triple Split e/s in Venice ($22.00)

Matte e/s no. 231 ($20.00)

High Impact Lipstick in Sequin ($22.00)

and Thevi Dome Blush ($38.00)

And of course! The swatches!
(note: In-depth review will be coming out soon!)

A lot of things to do...

Thank goodness weekend's here!

Happy Friday to all Asian readers...

and weekend is coming soon to the rest of the world!!!
