"My Cherry Amour" Nails

Good day everyone!!! I had my nails done again the weekend.

Have you encountered days that you wanted to be really creative but you just can't squeeze your mind on anything new? It happened to me, I am one of the most creative person you may find but I had my short portion of "Brain drained" when I was asked what nail design I would like to have (Gosh, such big problems huh? You thought I was referring to a life long decision? nah..that's me, I stress on the smallest detail lol)

What a girl to do to be creative? Look around...and anything that we can see can be inspiring! And when I say everywhere, I mean it! I promise, this may sound superficial, but this doesn't only have to do with nails or beauty. Anytime you need inspiration, just LOOK AROUND. You will definitely get answers!

In my case, I am a superficial whore that day, I looked around, and my eyes fell on my pajama! It was a green "cherry designed" pajama pants. EUREKA!

I swear, they are cherries! hahaha I should have taken a shot upside down as this photo looks like flowers! <-- Talking to myself (sorry)

Sorry Kitty lovers, I didn't mean to step on Hello Kitty's face :( I just wanted to show a lovely face so you guys won't get distracted by my feet! LOL

Just a little update, I am starting to do nail art for my mom, and she's loving it!!! The first time I've done it, I was expecting it to come out really gross and ugly! I was honestly surprised and happy with the outcome, so surprised I forgot to take a photo of it! If I'm ready, I'll definitely show it to you guys!

Life is full of love, happiness and inspiration
make everyday.. a Cherry-ful day!

My favorite magazines

Aside from make-up, I have been collecting magazines as long as I remember. I started young. I was in highschool then when I had my first magazine collection -- YM, Seventeen International version. Trust me, I would really save up my money for those magazines. I guess that's how I learned make-up and fashion at an early age. I guess that is why I always have a say or two when a beauty related problem spurts out as I have my fair share of fashion and beauty education through magazines!

I am happy that the Philippines have their own franchise of the magazines that we can only find internationally in the past. No offense, I love international magazines but I hate it if I've seen such wonderful advertisements but I can't seem to find the products as most of them are not available here. (same with blog reading..sigh)

Let me share to you some magazines I've been loyal to for the past years! When I say loyal, I subscribe, and others, I purchase them monthly!

Here are the magazines I swore on to....

1. Girlfriend Magazine Philippines

This magazine, I bought since their first issue. I have won 2x Letter of the Month here! That's how much I loved this magazine that I really take time to write to them and give out my 2 cents and of course, letting them know how much I appreciate them. This magazine is so easy to reach, down-to-earth and I've met some of their staffs and they are really nice . The mag's straight to the point, easy to understand the message they're trying to send out to readers like us. And what's my favorite about them? The fact that they showcase beauty products and gives you the choice to choose based on your budget. They really feels like Girlfriends to me!

2. Marie Claire

You want best of both fashion and beauty world? Marie Claire is definitely the answer. MC is everything rolled into one! I love their versatility, I get to know high end apparel, bags, shoes but I also love that they showcase local products that are our pride as well. They also have their monthly featured articles which would either be about other cultures or other happenings across the globe. I love MC because they are very versatile!

3. Seventeen Magazine

A "teeny-bobby" publication at first glance, but looks definitely can be deceiving. Seventeen mag is quite small compared to the rest of my collection but the content aren't superficial at all. I love the way they showcase different styles on make-up using great photographers who can capture such different looks. I can't help but stare at the photos and learn a thing or two on make-up do's and don'ts myself. They also feature great hairstyle articles which showcase 7 days of easy hairstyles you can enjoy whether you are a student or a career woman like I am! And did I say that it is SUPER HANDY? (I did, just repeating myself lol)

Of course, there are some international magazines that I love as well. But I have to be honest, the cheapo in me would buy them several months after at the Booksale! I have my own reasons though. With international magazines, i don't have to buy them right on time as the "new" products launced won't be available here in the Philipines like several months after! That means, I don't have access to a lot of newly launched collection, so no point in learning about it early on! lol

Why do I buy Allure mags? I like to check out the best make-up, I want to be "in the loop" on products even though they're not available here! I love their make-up shots and they inspire me to create looks on my friends or myself! :)

You know what? I told myself a girl don't need to read all those magazines,
but I just can't help it! They make it so interesting, the front page so glossy...
models ...so beautiful...
these magazines are like "FEMALE PLAYBOY MAGAZINE" for me..
always calling for my name! lol
Do I need to go to rehab?
or am I just normal?

Weekend Food Tripping at: Ineng's Special BBQ

This post is dedicated to everyone from the Philippines and those travellers who wished to travel to the Philippines.

Anyone who's been to the Philippines, I must say, MUST try the Barbeque! I am not a meat lover, but when it comes to BBQ, I can't say NO.

Me and my hubby went to the Market! Market! as I love their supermarket. Their supermarket has wide variety of Thai, Korean, Japanese, Singaporean and Malay stuffs that you can't find in regular supermarket. And what I love about the Market! Market is their food court. The food court has stalls of different delicacies from different provinces of the Philippines.

I think my hubby is pregnant! Hahaha He was really looking forward to taste the famous Ineng's BBQ. He's been wanting it for quite some time and this was the moment! LOL

As seen in the photo, people DO line up for the special BBQ! I didn't, I just sat and waited LOL

This is the famous BBQ!
2 sticks with rice and coke
(Php123.00 approx $2.75)

What I love about their BBQ is the taste, it is so tasty and not hard at all! The sauce tastes heavenly ( I can't explain it) and you know what's the most important part of this meal? The VINEGAR!!! The vinegar is the perfect husband for the BBQ...it is sweet yet a bit sour. It tingles your taste bud and you just want MORE!

Fish BBQ (Lapu-Lapu fish)
2 sticks no rice nor drinks
(PHP146.00 approx $3.25)

Everyone's been going crazy for the pork bbq and I think I have to say, the fish deserves equal attention! It takes a bit longer time to have this order but this is worth it! It comes with a soy sauce but chuck the soy sauce and use the vinegar for the pork BBQ! YUMMMYY

Don't laugh on my next photo ok? I did say this is something Filipino...but I just can't help it!!! I am a Korean food lover and when I saw that they offer Kimchi, I have to give it a try!!! I was ready to sulk and just make fun of this establishment for selling Korean food, boy..I was wrong!!! This Kimchi exceeds my expectation! It may not be the best, but it does taste like how a good kimchi should be!

Kimchi
(php55.00 approx $1.10)

For less than $10.00 and a meal that makes us both smile? Who would complain? I know I'm NOT!

Oh yeah, before I bid bye bye to everyone. I have discovered a yummy treat! I am not a junk food eater, but if I do eat some, I have to make sure..it is not the WORST! lol I know all junk foods are bad, but we have to just let go and enjoy what's life gotta offer right?

Here's the chips that I am loving right now...

I love that they don't have MSG, doesn't taste too oily and the flavor is just right! Just to let you know..after typing this? it is all GONE!

Stay happy everyone!
Give yourself a break and eat anything you crave for even once or twice a week!
Your body deserves it!
Be beautiful...inside and out!
*ciao!*

Askmewhats Reviews: MAC Lipliner in Ginger

I don't know about you guys, but I am a fast-paced individual who loves to go for the short-cut! It isn't even an exception with make-up! I love 2-in1's. I love to use lesser products as much as possible.

I did say: "Shame on you guys for creating lip liners. Totally waste of time and money!"
and now....I'm eating my words, because...

I own this...

Here's how MAC Lip Liner in Ginger looks like when swatched

You know why I started with a "hate" relationship with lip liners?

Because ---
  • my lips (again) are super dry and putting on lipliner will just make it drier!

But you know why I should "love" a lip liner?

Because ---
  • I have a li'l bit of discoloration on the sides of my lips
  • I've got full lips but it's not defined
Don't get me wrong, I didn't purchase my first lip liner. This was a gift from my Aunt I am glad I am "Nikki the curious ever clown!". I'm glad I gave MAC Lip liner in Ginger chance because I love this!!!

I still have a lot of "non-lip liner" days...but on good days that I felt like prettifying myself? I grab on this and I'm loving this! I love the Ginger color on me as it looks so natural on my lips! During those lazy days, I would just use lip balm and just go through the lip liner all over my lips!! <--- Au Naturelle! And may I add? It looks great to almost everybody!
What's your thoughts on lipliners? Totally worth the money? Or waste of money?
