How to: First Trimester Pregnancy Face

Happy October 1st AMW Friends!!!  It's a Monday and it's the start of another new month!  I am sending good vibes to everyone!!!

To jump start the busy week, my "This is How I Do It" post may be dedicated to all expectant moms out there especially on their first trimester but this is also a makeup look that our younger readers can try!  I'm talking about you high school and college students who want to start on makeup yet don't want to look too made up!

Because of the pregnancy hormones kicking in, my sense of smell has multiplied 100x and I do have the nauseous feeling and I throw up every now and then!  Going out and fixing oneself is one easy task I love to do in the past but things have changed and I'm finding myself tempted not to apply makeup at all and leave the house!

But I can't! I do need to go out for some special gatherings and most especially, those makeup gigs that was booked months ago!  I want to put an effort to look good as I don't want my clients to see my super tired, stressed, nauseous-look!

This is How I Do It!!!

Brows
I find myself creating lighter looking brows as I tend to skip on eye shadow application so creating strong brows is not the thing as of the moment.  Since my hair is still lighter than my brows, I take time to redefine my brows and fill in spaces by using brow powders.  (Ex. Benefit Brow Zings)

AMW Reports: Pink Me Up

Happy Saturday AMW Friends! :)
Today, I will be sharing a unique, very relaxing place that I recently visited!  Before I do so, let me share to you the side story first! *winks*

When I was in high school, I joined the MPFA group (Military Police and First Aiders).  Sounds serious right?  Well, it was the best decision I've made as I enjoyed summer training with friends from both my batch and higher/lower batches!  Snake-crawl, frog-leaps, jumping jacks, sit-ups, running, rifle-demonstration were all useless to me for my present career but the biggest thing I learned?  Camaraderie!

That's were I got the chance to meet a batch lower fellow MPFA-ers Steph and Reg.  Who would've thought these 2 remained good friends and opened up their own business?  I am so proud of them when I first heard about Pink Me Up Beauty Nail and Dry bar.  I was invited to visit their "baby" so many times but due to my hectic schedule, I wasn't able to do so.

Not until the day I was invited to do makeup for Reg's family and it was done at the Nail and Dry Bar!

I made a silent "gasp" once I got in, this is how I would picture my own room to look like!  *laughs*  The ambiance is super comfortable, the architecture feels like the olden days at the same time have the modern kick!  The main color is pink but the overall look doesn't scream "PINK" which makes it okay even for guys to relax here!

I Wonder: Do you need a Smaller Eyelash Curler?

Good morning and Happy Friday AMW Friends!
I am so excited it's finally weekend!  I used to love weekends but now, I appreciate it MORE because of my situation.  If you wonder, yes, I still suffer from morning sickness but I'm getting used to the vomiting and 24 hours headache so don't worry, I'm fine! :)

Since I'm home a lot!  I like to rummage through my "makeup stocks/hauls" to check on their expiration dates (again, I'm OC that way!) I pulled out a shopping bag from our last trip in Japan and guess what?  I nearly forgot about my Shiseido eyelash curlers!  I bought both sizes 213 (regular size) and 215 (smaller size).  I have been using a Shiseido and Shu Uemura eyelash curler alternately for quite some time and this is a repurchase.  The smaller version?  It's a first!

Back in April during our first Tokyo trip, I love to roam around cosmetics stores and one huge store (I can't remember the name, sorry) caught my attention as it has aisles after aisles of Japanese brands including Shiseido! I thought about eyelash curlers back up and picked a regular sized Shiseido Eyelash Curler without much hesitation.  As I was walking towards the counter, the cute smaller one caught my eye.  I walked back and stared at it for a moment.  I did want to purchase the Shu Uemura smaller lash curler for years but never really paid attention to it.

But do I really need it?

Of course, with Mr. AMW around who nudged me and said: "Come on, you won't be back in Japan for a while, where can you buy  such inexpensive Shiseido stuff?"

Alright, he twisted my arm so I gave in!  *laughs*

Okay, I've been a makeup artist for almost 5 years and I have been doing makeup for more than a decade!  I've survived using the regular sized eyelash curler without issues.  Do I really need a smaller eyelash curler?  Well, you have to wait for my review, I am just starting to use this after I nearly forgot about this!  *embarrassed*
I wonder:
"Do you need a smaller eyelash curler to get into those short lashes?"
Do you own one?  Is it worth the investment?

I'd love to hear from you!

Revlon Photoready Eye Primer + Brightener Review

Happy Thursday!
Today, let's talk about the song: "Turn Around...Bright Eyes!" A-ha!  You know the song right?  You're an 80's girl like me!  *woot woot*!!!

Okay, back to bright eyes, who doesn't want brighter looking eyes?  Especially my situation at the moment, I feel queasy and uneasy all day and sleeping is another topic that needs to be discussed with beer on hand!  *laughs*  I can't seem to sleep well!  Adding up to my day job and a lot of other she-bangs!  *winks*  I can be a living zombie!

I've been constantly using the Benefit Stay Don't Stray as it's one product that I can use 360 degrees!  From my lids to under eye area!  And who would've thought a drugstore brand Revlon finally made one too?

Revlon Photoready Eye Primer + Brightener
comes in ONE shade and it blends in seamlessly onto the skin around the eye area

AMW Reviews: Benefit Remove It Makeup Remover

Happy Humpy Day AMW Friends!
Ahhh, the joys of makeup removing (not!).  I tend to get lazy at times..ahm...most of the time and Mr. AMW would always point out the extra "liner" or mascara that was left even after I washed my face!  Thank you Lord for sending me an "OC" husband who takes care of my eyes as I ended up visiting an ophthalmologist in the past because my eyes got irritated from mascara "leftovers".  *laughs*  Oh, at that time, it wasn't as funny!

Through the years, I don't mind investing on various makeup removers (from drugstore to high end) as long as they earn raves from online reviewers.  Yes, I've found some good and not-so-good ones but that doesn't stop me from trying MORE! :)

Benefit says ---

Removing your makeup is as important as applying it. Remove it makeup remover effectively removes eye makeup, including long-wearing & waterproof formulas, with an oil-free, no-rinse formula.
