AMW Reports: Blow-Up Belly Shoot

Happy Mid-week AMW friends! 
Wow, time flew by pretty quickly for me now!  I used to dread each day because of my "lack of sleep", difficulty in finding the right position during sleep and in between pee-ing in wee hours of the night!  Ahh..the joys of  pregnancy!  I'm not scaring you single girls out there but these are some of the experiences (I'm sure most moms would agree) I won't forget for the rest of my life!

Today's post will be a bit personal for me!  Before I got pregnant, I told Mr. AMW how I would like to embrace the digital age and document my pregnancy as much as I can!  Why?  Well, since I'm the youngest in the family, my mom doesn't have a pregnant photo carrying me!  (Truthfully, it wasn't a trend then to be photographed while pregnant!) Oh!  The old age!

Surprisingly, with the daily busy schedule, I wasn't able to really look into photography studio for pregnancy shoot!  I was almost in daze when I realized I'm down to my last trimester and I haven't really fixed my hospital bag yet!  As panic struck me, I got an invite to be photographed by Blow-Up Babies at Serendra!  It was an invitation I can't resist, but....the sudden bloating, pain at the back and listlessness, nearly stopped me from doing this shoot!

I only had a week or less to prepare!  As I was browsing through their Facebook page and read this ----

"We started it. And now everyone is doing it. But no one does it like we do. We won’t be cheesy about it either. A "soon-to-be mama" can be totally hot on camera! So if you’re keen on capturing the belly on camera, stop by Blow-up babies. You’ll see that we can make it a comfortable and totally cool experience for you!"

"Totally Hot On Camera?"  COME ON!  I nearly fell off my chair and cancelled my appointment!  No matter how confident a woman can be, pregnancy hormones can bring you down I tell ya!  *laughs*  

Thankfully, Blow-Up Studio's Photographer for the day Ms. Tabitha emailed me a couple of days before the shoot to let me know some of the things I need to bring for the photoshoot.  The super kind and supportive Mr. AMW helped me pack my clothes (mostly Bandeaus) and all I need to do that day is to feel good and prettify myself! 

The reception area is bright and cheer-y.  The "Grinch" in me was gone in an instant as I comfortably relax and wait for the studio set-up!  

By the way, it was an early morning shoot so I've decided to drag that lazy bum, bloated fingers and feet of mine and prettify myself --- yes, both hair and makeup!

Blow-Up Studio has 2 studios.  One studio is for their baby shoots with loads of backdrops, costumes, props etc...!

Okay, back to me!  *laughs*  I was ushered to the next studio.  The studio has its own door and dressing area so I'm quite comfortable here!

 

Let's talk about showing off my belly!  To be honest, even before pregnancy, I'm not comfortable showing my tummy because....I guess I just grew up in a no-showing of belly (a.k.a. conservative) family!  Thankfully, I felt at ease right away with Tabitha and I was able to do some serious shots I normally can't do!

The studio also have some drapes of cloth for me to feel like a "pregnant Goddess" for the day! :P  Tabitha was also kind enough to help me fix my "costume".

Okay, obviously, I'm starting to have fun and feel super comfortable!

We do have some couple shots in which I will show you guys once I get the original copies!  While Mr. AMW waits, Baby AMW's socks has its own photoshoot!  *laughs*

This, is definitely more photogenic than me! :D

After the shoot, hubby and I have decided to pick 2 photos to be printed out to be displayed in our room!  Because I'm too lazy to go back to Serendra, they also offer delivery service with soft copies of all our photos for the day!

AMW Reviews: Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister

I do not own a lot of Majolica Majorca Mascaras because there's one that I've used and repurchased a couple of times, the Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On Mascara.  To be honest, I didn't get to purchase the other well-raved mascaras from the said brand as I was too busy finishing up the rest of the repurchased tubes during their sale season! 

When I get to meet up with the rest of the beauty bloggers to get to know more about the Secret Blink Collection, the new Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister *whew* (Such a long name!)  caught my attention for its' lengthening and strengthening properties!  I've always wanted volume and length in one mascara but the extra "strength" is something I look forward to!

AMW Reviews: All-Belle False Eyelashes

Happy April Fools' Day!  Try not to get fooled today okay?

False lashes, we all know our eyes will look great with them but some of you (like me) are probably too lazy to apply or use this "secret beauty weapon" on a daily basis!  Ahhh, if only I have a "lash robot" who automatically place the false lashes on me after I wash my face!  #ActsOfSloth *laughs*

When I was handed by my dear blogger friend Sophie to try/test out the false eyelashes that was raved by one of my favorite makeup artist from Taiwan Kevin, the makeup artist behind Beautymaker Cosmetics (feel free to read my first Beautymaker cosmetics review HERE), I know this brand is worth checking out for!

I requested for an everyday, all-natural lashes as I plan to keep this for myself and...ahem...if I have the energy, to try to use this as much as possible just like the gorgeous girls I see in Tokyo!  Of course I wasn't able to do it with my current situation but these lashes are definitely reusable as I've reused my first pair for 3 times and still counting!

Weekend Food Trip at: Bubble Tea Restaurant, Wilson Street (For my Surprise Baby Shower)

The first time I dined in at Bubble Tea Restaurant was at their Tomas Morato branch with my bestfriend.  I remembered having a great food experience but forgot to bring Mr. AMW back because there were just so many restaurants popping around the Metro!

Little did I know that the day where we were supposed to meet up with my ex-colleagues was my Baby Shower Surprise as prepared by my best friend together with my high school friends!

AMW Wears: FLY Summer Collection 2013

Remember my first set of Fly Shades which I got early this year? (Read post HERE).  Well, after receiving such wonderful set of shades, I actually visited their stall and bought a couple more as Christmas gifts for friends!  I have to be honest, I scoured the stall and nearly got all the designs I want and I have never thought they will come up with more designs in just a couple of months after!

Gradiation of yellow and brown gives a wonderful impact to this classy looking sunglasses!  I love pairing this with a simple dress!

Reflecting Aviator glasses in white!  I call this my "hip" Aviator and I enjoy paring this during hot summer months with my pair of trustee maternity shorts and sleeveless top!  All I need to do is lounge in a yacht and I call that....."feeling like a model" look! :P

A geek-on-vacation!  That's how I call this glass as this works perfectly if you want to look smart yet will still be able to protect your eyes from the harsh rays of the sun!  Paired with your favorite floral/polka-dotted top, you can be back to the 70's or you can pair this with a simple shirt and jeans!

A cool geek!  I used to wear glasses when I was younger for astigmatism but I never thought of wearing any of these glasses for fashion!  Now, I might! :)

I visited my mom and was too lazy to wear any makeup so I just tied my hair up and wore a trustee Aviator shades!  So far, so good!  It's nice to let my skin breathe once in awhile as I enjoy my favorite snack!

On very sunny day, this works for me as the shades' tint is a bit darker than the rest I own in this collection.  It gives my eyes the protection I need without much squinting and this photo was taken during a lovely drinking session at Dakasi Milk Tea! :D
