AMW Wears: Poise Makeup Hydrating Luxe Lipsticks in Boca and Vintage

Happy Monday!  Weekend was extremely crazy yet I am one Happy and Contented Girl!  The AMW Workshop Series Part 2 was finally done and I met wonderful participants over the weekend!  I will share more about that soon but today, I am sending you good vibes with 2 lipsticks I recently tried from the brand Poise Makeup.

As of the day, they don't have a lot of shades to choose from (yet) but I believe they will be bringing in more shades soon!  As for now, I am sharing my 2 top picks!  2 shades EVERY WOMAN should own!

Boca is a perfect nude lip color because of the presence of warm undertone making it easy to wear for all skin colors!  A fair skinned users like myself and a dark complexion can really rock this natural lip color!

My "Feel-good" Food and Drinks

I have been so stressed lately!  It is the combination of bringing my son to Preschool, dealing with Kyle's separation anxiety, the 3 long hours of waiting outside the school while worrying about my son and of course, trying to get through each day with both work and house work.

I am only human, I do get tired!  Super tired!  How do I deal with physical, emotional and mental stress?  I feed myself pretty well!  *laughs*  This post is inspired by the food and drinks I tend to crave for when I'm super weary.

I do not have to mention about Coffee, I obviously am a coffee addict and drink more than my maximum allowance that gave myself!  It used to be 2 cups a day but now, I ended up drinking more than 3 or 4!  So on days I wanted to veer away from too much caffeine, I go for my favorite iced cold drinks!

Del Monte Four Seasons Juice Drink is my ultimate favorite!  I have a pitcher inside my fridge always ready on afternoons I need an instant pick-me-upper!  And who would've thought they have so many more flavors to choose from?

When I posted about these on my IG account, a lot of you highly recommend Pineapple Lychee!  I am not a fan of Lychee drink but will definitely go beyond my comfort level and will give this a try!

Solique x Marilen Launches 2 New Shades - Serenity and Rose Quartz

I've seen Marilen Faustino-Montenegro on TV a couple of times because of her gorgeous faces flashing on my TV screen for various commercials.  Fast-forward to several years after, I finally met her during Cozy Nails Turn 5 VIP Event, she maybe a well-known model but very down-to-earth!  

Then we met a couple more times!  One as her Blogger Guest on 100% Whole Mom Workshop , and it was a lovely surprise for me when she said YES to my invite during my #BenefitLovesAMW Christmas Bash.

That's why when I learned about the collaboration between my favorite Gel Polish Brand Solique and Marilen, I knew I had to be there to support, even if the location of the intimate launch is super far from me!

The event was held at Coco Nail Studio, Alabang!  As soon as I walked in the area, I feel the warmth and wellness, and that's what Solique x Marilen is aiming for for this particular collection.

Let's talk about Coco Nail Studio, it is one of the most relaxing, friendly and comfortable salon place that I've been to!  I wish I live nearby because I wouldn't mind going back there!

The staffs are friendly and the nail salon smells so good!  The salon also offers home fragrance.

Bing Loyzaga Lost 30lbs in 5 months! An Intimate Gathering with Marie France

I used to be 20lbs heavier during my China Teaching Days, I know I'm not in perfect shape now but I try my best not to get back to those days when I get comments like: "You should stop eating too much" or "Why are you so fat when you don't eat a lot?" or "You know what?  You can trim a bit of those flabs in your waist and you'll be a lot sexier!" and worst: "ANG TABA MO NA AH! MASARAP KUMAIN?"

I used to be chill about it and just smile and say: "Wala eh!  I'm happy!"  But at the back of my head, it's - "(insert expletives)....If I lose the weight, I'll show you!" 

But that didn't happen overnight, I tried all sorts of diet!  From the famous 6 o'clock diet to skipping meals!  I was really depressed deep inside to the point of feeling like a loser!  

So I vowed to myself never to give insensitive remarks to anyone I meet!  No matter how slim or fat they are, I knew I don't have the right to judge so I'd rather keep my mouth shut!

So when I got an invite from Marie France for an intimate get-together with their newest face Bing Loyzaga, I knew I had to be there!  Because I can totally relate!

To those "batang 90's" like me (ahem, in truth 80's talaga ako), you'll know Bing Loyzaga for her memorable Kontrabida roles.  Seeing her in the flesh at 45 years old made me realize, hey, getting old isn't scary at all!  If I can still look half as gorgeous as her, I'll be okay!

Unique Find: Leaders Insolution The Gold 24 Secret Mask

It all started when facial centers start to offer "gold" in their facial services.  Then, a skincare brand came up with "gold" as key ingredients of their products!  Then, I was able to try "gold in a foundation" (Royal Gold 24K Foundation review)

Who would've thought I'm giving "gold" as a skincare ingredient another try?  This time, as a mask called The Gold 24 Secret Mask from Leaders Insolution.

You probably understand how obsessed I am with Leaders Insolution Masks after Vita Bright!  I went from Vita Bright to trying out almost all the variant!  So I'm at the stage of going in a Leaders Insolution store (My favorite at Lucky Chinatown Mall) and automatically ask for "What's New"!

The most recent visit, I didn't even get the chance to open my mouth to ask when the SA happily exclaimed: "We have something new! You have to try it!"  

And so I did!

Now why am I addicted to Leaders Insolution masks and why do I religiously use them at least once or twice a week?

THEY REALLY WORK!  And THE GOLD 24 Secret Mask is NO exception!

Let's talk about the mask sheet first!  Just like any Leaders Insolution masks, the quality of the mask sheets are extremely good and durable!  It was no surprise for me that The Gold 24 Secret Mask really is in GOLD!  It is almost "rubbery" and texture and can be stretched to fit your face!  I heard a bit of chuckle from photographer hubby when he mentioned how I look like a superhero when I wore half of the mask!  Okay, I think he meant Phanton of the Opera :P

What's unique with The Gold sheet is that, you get 2 parts, one for the upper portion of your face and the other half for the lower half.  As much as I am happy with sheet masks in ONE piece, I actually like the idea of this because it fits your face almost like a glove!

I would say the mask sheet has the right "wetness factor".  It's not heavily dripping but you get a good amount of the product that your skin happily accepts within the 15-20 minutes period.  

After removing the sheet, I like to gently pat the product until it evaporates.  My skin does look brighter, plump-looking at the same time, my skin feels so smooth like a baby's bum!
