Bobbi Brown First Date Look

Bobbi Brown First Date Look
* Bobbi Brown Skin Longwear Weightless Foundation
* Bobbi Brown Cleansing Oil
* Bobbi Brown Powder
* Bobbi. Brown Luxe Matte Lip Color in Tawny Pink

The hustle and bustle of makeup school.  I remembered lugging my heavy trolley makeup traincase after a busy day at work to Basement Academy - the first makeup school I enrolled to.  It was not an easy feat.  We started classes as early as 6pm and sometimes ends at around 11pm to 12am!  That was intense!

And because I get so many faces to prettify - make up school provides model, I remembered saying a short prayer thanking GOD how the school is located right by the mall!  I was able to hop on to Rustans at Shangri-La Mall Ortigas to buy some of the must-haves when it comes to makeup artistry.

I had to purchase the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner for Avant Garde makeup looks.  I had to draw a whole TREE OF EDEN on the face of my model and a gel liner is my favorite "outliner".  Ahhh those were the fun days.

Looking back, I have been using a lot of this brand professionally but always kept the best for clients and not really using them for myself.  That said, this year's Valentine's Day, I've decided to create a full Bobbi Brown Makeup FIRST DATE Look because I did not get to wear makeup on my first date --- I was only 17 years old when I dated my then BF now Husband :D.

Don't judge my pose, this will be my makeup look if I am ---

17 years old.
Going out on a first date.

Please keep in mind that we have different makeup styles!  Some likes to wear more makeup on first dates because that is just how they are!  They wanted to show their artistry through makeup and props to you for that!

To Each Their Own --- when it comes to make up and all other things!  SO yes, you do you!  I do me.

THIS IS ME!

I like to have a clear, matte base because to be young, is to have matte skin :P  Everybody's oiling up with our crazy weather so I wanted to depict the look of --- I am fresh, I am NOT bothered by my sweat and oil glands!

Douyin Look For Everyday

Hello guys!
Funny how I've been doing Korean Glass Skin and all those she-bang when it comes to K-Beauty and all I need to do is to go back to my roots --- my Chinese roots :P  and try the Douyin Trend.

Truth be told, I felt this trend is super beautiful, but because most Chinese influencers tend to go all out with filters - it does not feel as natural anymore that is why I have been putting this tutorial off because the real Douyin look would look weird on normal days!

So obviously, I toned it down a bit and here's my version.

For the sake of photography and video, I used White Eyeliner on my waterline but given the chance I'd redo this and go out with it, I'd use my favorite cream/peach colored pencil liner from the same company that I used with the white called Ready Set Glow.

Here are the complete list of products that I used and you can check it out as you go along watching my quick video to achieve this look.

From Trash To Fab

Remember my favorite EUREKA MOMENTS posts here on my blog?
I kind of did that but in video format!  I have been doing make-up for so long - since Highschool to be esact.  Not on myself but as a make up artist on school plays and summer theatre programs.

I have experienced many challenges during those gigs and here I am sharing my years of knowledge --- call me SENSEI :P

Yes holding these supposedly "Trash" because they either do not work for me because of a wrong shade, or maybe, I hit the pan on them.

Please watch this video for quick tip!

Housed ina  cute black thin can that you can house all 3 sticks.  Each stick is approximately 3 inches in length.  You get a thick jumbo crayon-like color that made me use these on eyes, cheeks and lips just for fun - and for the sake of review.

Here are the 3 shades at a glance.

Five Beauty Falsies

I recently discovered a local lash brand called Five Beauty because they reached out to me and sent me a kit for review.

As most people think that applying false lashes is one of the most difficult step in makeup application, the brand created Adhesive False Eyelashes and Lash Liner Sets!  These are the ultimate beauty essential for women-on-the-go!

Truth be told, most liner glue are easier to apply but since the glue aren't as thick as manually applying them with a lash glue (on tube), I find them not staying longer than the normal way.  And to be honest, I find it normal to apply false lashes after EVERY eye makeup application, but for this particular brand, I think applying falsies on bare eyelid is the way to go for the glue to stick better!  Just imagine, your eyelid full of eyeshadow, the thin line of lash glue won't be as sticky anymore.

Do you get it?

But true enough, these liner adhesives from are so far the best I have tried as of the moment.  No one can change my "old style-way" of lash application but I did use the set for a photoshoot I did.  A studio that does not require me to stay under the sun, to perspire and just several hours of photoshoot.  I cannot imagine this to work for whole day weddings (that's just me) especially for those who are monolided or those with hooded eyelids. A "liner glue" just won't be enough to last the humidity as well.

One tip is to maybe apply a thicker liner.

THICKER LINER = THICKER GLUE.

But again, not all eye shapes would work well with thick liners.  But I am intrigued to try their Crystal Cear Adhesive Liner.
