Up Close and Personal : The Nail Art Pen

After my first nail art tutorial. A lot of my readers got interested with my nail art pen. Let me show you my nail art pen collection and how I got it.

As you know, I have my nails originally done by the nail art lady (that's how I call her here) but her name is Aling Lucring! lol She was the wonderful person who's got the talent to do "any design" I would ask her to do. Since I've been watching her do all those designs for months now, I picked up a couple of ideas and I've decided to share my nail art to my mom and friends!

It was quite difficult to order the pen as she got it from a friend in another country. So I asked her to buy me the basic colors and I got it!

Here's how much I love it I protect my nail art pens with a cute pouch :) <-- pouch is mine

TADA!!!

L-R White, Black, Purple, Pink, Dark Green, Yellow and Gliterry Blue

A lot of you who own this pen would say, it is hard to use as it dries quickly and would clog the tip. That's when the needle comes in handy. This ain't just any ordinary needle, this is very small and tiny! So don't lose this!

Press the nail art pen well and see that the nail polish comes out and start drawing!

The good part is, it's dual purpose!
You can use the fine brush for those designs that needed brush strokes.

I love this, I love the look on my mom's face every time I did something new!

  12. Ohhh Thanks Nikki for showing us what those pens look like! :)

I have a question about nail polishes, which I may have asked you before, but I don't recall and I can't find it anywhere in the recent comment sections.... so please forgive me if I've already asked it before. How should I store nail polish? I mean the bottle itself. Should it be stored upright? Or upside down? or flat?

  13. Ebeautyblog, Cinthia, of course! I love ya, I'll do them for ya!!! Honest!

CG, aaw thanks, I love the bonding moment with mommy too! That's every Monday night! :)

Liz, don't envy ..lol you do both make up and hair well, if you planned to do the nails, I'm sure you'll be great on it! trust me..coz I trust you *winks*

Royalmocha, it is hard to paint the right, I do it twice slower than the lefty! :)

Liz, my pleasure, with regards to the question, no, you didn't ask it before, so it's not repetitive lol..even if it is no worries :) You are referring to storing the bottled ones right? Not the pens? I store it upright if it's full, i store it flat if it's half full...I never store it upside down as it will be difficult if you will be using it and all the polishes are like all over the brush and the handle. NOT good :) And as much as possible, store in a cool dry place :) Hope I answered your query :D

  17. Gracie sis! You are such a sweetheart for saying that, so sweet of you! I would LOVE to do your nails when you arrive! Even the simplest one, just to leave a piece of me with you! (can't remove it for a month!) hehehe

  18. I once kept the only two bottles of nail polish in the fridge and they lasted for more than 2-3 years - granted I didn't use them regularly. It did prevent them from 'drying' up and becoming sticky/thick. Don't know if this helps or if its ok to do that.

  20. wow you did such a good job! i have some of the nailpolishes that are colored but they only have the brush side, not the pen side...the pen side really helps makes dots on those flowers huh...i used to always have my nails done and do designs on them...makes me miss it! i would get some from you but i dont want to make it inconvenient for you cuz i'm all the way in the US...but in the meantime i'll just admire your new designs :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. CG, yes you are right, you can keep them inside the fridge if you don't plan to use them much :) thanks for the additional tip :)

Gio, I think they're mostly sold at nail art supplies / stores. The pouch...I gotten it from a birthday party! LOL they gave away soaps and it was inside this lovely pouch! :)

Renren, I know!!! Imagine me buying RT tickets to go there just to do your nails..lol...that would happen if you're like ..hmm..Paris Hilton? lol or maybe you come over here! I'm sure you want to visit malls..and eat some food here! Yum! I'm waiting for ya Ms. Hilton *winks*

    ReplyDelete
  22. wow those are cool! do you know if they're sold at regular beauty stores? the only ones i've seen are the ones with just the thin brush tips.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hi Lily, I have checked online on stores who sell that, I've found most of them are sold online...here are some links that I've found but not sure about their services...you may check them out to get an idea

  24. Oh, really sis Nikki? Is that a promise then? Yey! If you do my nails, I'll want my hair and make up doing as well. Would that be asking for far too much? Ha ha ha!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yes Gracie that's a promise! You're not asking too much, but I'm sure you don't need my make up and hair service, you are doing well at present :) but it'll be nice to have our own girly makeover :)
