Askmewhats Reviews: Embodyments Body Butter

Happy Friday everyone!
Guess what? It's 1:15am and I just got back home! Make-up school is WONDERFUL! But gosh, we left the school around 11:30pm already! We had fun with makeup looks and cam-whoring with our teacher Ms. Cheryl Cabanos :) Will talk m ore about the school adventure soon! :)

Let's talk about product reviews again!

Remember when I posted the "I Wonder" post about dry skin? After all the overwhelming responses I've received, I came to a point wherein I realized the further dry skin I have is due to my own laziness, I have to admit, I don't apply body lotion daily and there are times I am too lazy to purchase the right soap! So I want to thank everyone for the suggestions. I have listed them all down and will give them a try one by one! I've got the most answer on Cetaphil Body Cream, Lubriderm, The Body Shop Body Butter, etc...

During my last bazaar visit, the wonderful smelling booth from Embodyment caught my nose's attention! Giving their testers a try, I've got nothing to lose right?

Here are 2 variants I've tried:

Olive Body Butter is known for it's intensive moisturizing property
Lavender Body Butter, well, aside from moisturizing properties, I love the calmness of its scent!

Let me start with
Lavender & White Tea Body Butter

Embodyment Lavender & White Tea says ---

Apply all over your body after bathing for smooth and velvety skin.

The packaging says ---

Askmewhats says ---

Pros
  • very moisturizing
  • absorbs to the skin easily, no oily residue
  • scent Lavender is super relaxing
  • scent is non overpowering
  • has the spa feel!
  • size is perfect to carry along
  • has quality seal so you know it's brand new

Cons
  • not easily available (do email them for bazaar schedules)
Overall Tips
  • OCness again, use a spatula instead of dipping your fingers for hygiene
  • apply this body butter right after taking a shower!
  • apply this 2x daily (if possible)
  • choose the scent you prefer to make you "want" to use this consistently
  • the Lavender scent is perfect to relax you before you go to bed
Will I repurchase?

Yes

Where can you purchase and how much?

Online site or email them embodyment.oe@gmail.com
I bought these at the WTC Bazaar for
50g = Php150.00 (approx $3.20)

100g = Php250.00 (approx $5.20) Buy 4 get 1 Free

Feast your eyes on the

I'm not very good at moisturizing every day either, I have to admit. You're not alone, Nikki, lol.

Im currently using LUSH body cream and i love it, but it is quite pricey and since I use it everyday Im gonna need a new pot soon. I wonder do this company (that you're reviewing) ship internationally, bcause I cant find that info in their website

  9. Lily, they don't sell online yet! I think they have the online thing for us to know what's their products but most of them are for bazaars, their site is not complete yet, I hope they do ship as I'm sure a lot would be interested in their products :)

  11. make up school sounds fun !

and one of the best body moisturiser in my opinion would be cetaphil. it has no scent and its not sticky and it's quiet cheap for a half a litre. i've been using it even before i started on my prescription cream for my skin condition.

  14. I was able to try this at the Don Antonio Bazaar a few months back, and it did feel and smell nice!:) I didn't buy at that time though because I had too many lotions left at home. Heehee.

I have dry skin on the body too, and I have to be diligent in moisturizing because otherwise my eczema will flare up.:( Boo to super sensitive skin.:(

Donnarence, oh I have their brochures, all their stuffs ranges around that price! Not too expensive!

  23. Connie, same with me about the size! I don't like the super huge one for travel, maybe for the super huge one, I'll just leave it at home! this is a very cute size! :)

Soapaholic, I've seen your review about this I think? Hmmm..it was you! hahaha I know what you mean, I've been snubbing body moisturizers and cream because I've always thought I've got so much at home, but you know what? I promised myself to really take care of my skin and I am serious with choosing the right body moisturizer!

JENSMAKEUPBAG , wow, really? Mine...well this never gets oily, it sink right into the skin like ASAP! :)

  24. Fifi, ditto!

gio, so true, I'm not sure though if they ship internationally, I believe they do distribute to several Spas down here in PI! :)

The Faux Fashionista , I usually wipe the spatulas after use then keep it in a small ziplock :)

Cris! Of course I still need the one you sent!!! I am excited for it as I'm reading so many raves about it! I'm almost done with the 2 body butters so yours will be the right timing :) THANK YOU! I hope you like the blind swap items sent your way too!

Yumyumsushi, that's how I felt about Lush too, I feel like I'm having a headache each time i pass by their store, but if I go in, the scent is ok!!!! lol

  28. M, hahah it does look delicious!!!

Jamilla Camel, I know! when I think about my skin, i always think about you! I have a feeling we are the same!!!

  29. I'll have to agree with you, I think my dry skin gets worse if I'm too lazy to apply lotion too haha xD It's too much work, I just want to sleep afterwards. Sometimes I -do- just sleep afterwards, even with wet hair, and wake up with a headache ~_~ But I'm trying to be more diligent with caring for my skin. And drink more water. Thanks for the review. Aw, too bad it's hard to get in the US :(
