I Wonder: "What's Your Favorite Neutral Eyeshadow?"

On days I want a simple wash of color, on days I don't feel putting up too much makeup, on days that I have makeup gigs, I make sure to have a "safe", "matte", "brownish" eyeshadow along with me. Aside from giving me an "Au Natural" look, it's safe to use on gigs because it photographs well and it works on anybody of all ages!

I've found myself reaching out for Stila Eyeshadow in Champara several times on different occasions.

Stila Eyeshadow in Champara is a Mineral Matte Eyeshadow that gives out a light brownish wash of color with a very smooth texture. It's made to "deepen" the crease area and the shade is definitely build-able! I love using this for clients who wants the "No Make Up" look and this shade works well for the more mature clients too! This is my favorite for the moment!

Now I Wonder:

"What's Your Favorite Neutral Eyeshadow that you think would work on anybody?"
Spill the beans!
Love to hear from you!

  1. Oooh! That Stila shadow looks so nice!!

I like the 2nd colour down on the Revlon Colorstay Palette in Coffee Bean. I also like MAC's Satin Taupe. Though I don't own it, but it looks so nice and I'd love to own it one day!

  2. I love Stila Kitten for a very sparkling (it actually has a wet sheen) finish especially under sun. Some people call it boring champagne I think it's because the subtle pink tinge it has, I have another Stila shadow call oasis which looks pretty similar to kitten but I tried it right next (like one on each eye) to kitten and it just seems off...I guess oasis is the "kitten" for people with golden undertone.

Another one I like is Nars Tokyo, it looks a bit too understated to be worth the money but I just worn in in a cold day, the finish and color seems to be really delicate. (Now I even want more nars...Maybe the all about eve duo)

  3. ooh this eyeshadow looks great!!
Hmm tough question- perhaps MAC's Retrospeck- a faint gold shimmer that I love using on a lazy day to swipe lightly across my eyelids- I'm pretty certain it would look pretty on anyone :)

  4. I usually use colors from my 28 neutral palette, Kate eyeshadow palette or Stila Gold Glow trio. For work, just a simple wash of color on the lid, some brown or black eyeliner, and mascara will do! =)

  22. still waiting for the Barbie Loves Stila Collection, nakukulitan na yata mga counter girls sa kin sa Rustan's, hehehe.

The Barbie pallet that I'm waiting for has trios in one pan, and there are 4 pans. So it's an all in one pallet and is handy.

They told me to wait this October. hahaha so which begs the question, "anong petsa na?" hahaha.

Nice one, but to answer your question, I use a matte Ellana Multipurpose Minerals in Beloved for for the crease and gives the "no makeup makeup look" ^_^

  23. You don't have access to Stila other than online right? i hate it when a HG item is not touchable right by my side. but at least this is a nude colour and you can definitely find something similar in other brands.

thanks for another great post. i love your blog. :)
