I Wonder: "Do You Regret Buying Something?"

Just like you, no matter how "OC" I was made, I am human and I make mistakes especially when it comes to purchases!  I've had so many stuff I regret buying but some are just minimal amount and I don't mind the mistake as what most people would say..."You learn from your mistakes".

I will be sharing one recent stuff I regret purchasing.  Remember the Ice Watch Event I attended last year?  Well, I was a proud owner of black Ice Watch (photo below) but, after less than 3 months of usage (note: Not daily as I love alternating), the strap broke! *insert wailing sound*

AMW with her New
Ice Watch Last September 2009
(yes for the sake of this post, I am attaching the stressed looking me again!  LOL)

Encircled part is where it was broken

I always house it back to the original Ice Watch casing
after every use!

People who knew me personally would know how much I take care of my stuff!  Especially watches, but this happened to me and the sad part?  The warranty only covers defects on mechanism as well as movement parts pertaining to the clockwork!  Physical damage (intentional or unintentional) are not covered!  Don't get me wrong, I am not back lashing the company as I am sure I'm just one of the rare case.  I am just saying that for the price tag of this watch at Php4,200 (approx $93.00)  I wasn't expecting the strap to die on me so soon! (Why me?)

I actually appreciate the company for offering their service for free to fix the watch and I only need to pay minimal fee for whatever part/parts of the watch to be fixed. I actually appreciate it that their service center guy even gave me a call!  So service center people for Ice Watch --- CHECK for great service.  (They do not know I'm a blogger...just so you know *winks*)

It's just that, I do regret buying this because I can only stare at it for now!

It'll be even more fun if you also include the price tag!
The highest price tag wins the most pity from all of us!  *laughs*  Just joking!!!

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

  2. Hi! I'm a regular reader of your blog. I love reading your posts everyday. I hope you don't mind but i just want to correct your usage of the word "stuff". It's already in its plural form, so you don't need to put an "s" :)

  5. @kat Hi kat sweetie, thanks for being a regular reader and thanks for correcting me! I actually knew about it and corrected some of my old post (a month ago) but I guess when I get used to it, I get used to it! Thanks for the reminder! :) I needed that :)

  6. @Marge LOL at the Play dough comment! that is funny and yet, I do apologize for finding it funny as i'm sure spending money on a play dough-like primer isn't a good thing!

  8. That's exactly what I regretted purchasing. :( I never mentioned them in my blog when I wrote about regretting spending at an event. But this was it. They were also the reason I set up new rules for events (I posted this shortly after I realized that I regretted my purchase.): http://www.skysenshi.com/2010/09/fool-surviving-pinoy-blogosphere-part-3.html

I actually had fun at their event, I hope they don't get me wrong. I only have myself to blame for giving in to impulse buying...

The black looks really nice and I like informal watches like these..pero yon nga..sana I researched muna! I wanted to use the gift cert na din kasi!

  12. Gucci Aviator Glasses $350. Bought it when I was in Hawaii. I got one and since my friend said she has the exact same one and that she loves it so I decided to get the same one in a different color. Came back home to Cali and wore it 5 times and that was it. It won't stay on the bridge of my nose.

  13. so sorry to hear about this. I'm not really into watches like this.. much more of the silver and gold eck-eck. strikes me kasi as not so sturdy and dumihin. (o di ba? ang OC-OC ko?). I'm sure it's not you who cause the broken strap. the manufacturer may have skipped quality inspection on this one... super know how OC you are, mokup pa lang. :)

ahhh make-up! I'm sure a lot of us had issues buying make-up and not being able to use it. What's the one make-up you bought and you haven't use?

  21. Just 3 months and it already broke? I may not have met you in person yet but you gave me the impression that you are someone who takes care of your stuff. Such a bummer.

  22. XD Ah everyone's regret list! There was one time me and my mom splurged on Etude House. I'm fair but more very yellow. I ended up buying a lot with my mom and I just can't suit the whiteness of their foundations no matter what I do *sigh* Not only that they're not "hiyang" on me ;3; I bought 2 types of foundation that day too it feels like a waste. ;3; But I still love the brand

  25. @katatonik ahhh you splurged at Etude House? Why?? hahahhaa Just joking, I know what you mean, when you're inside the store it's just crazy you want to grab everything! then when you go home, you'll go, "Why did I purchase this?" :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. @IyaV Ah when it comes to uniform, I'm the youngest in the family so I'm always the borrower! So yeah, I know what you mean, uniforms are pricey ha!

  27. Luscious watch! it was girly and trendy so i bought it, a month after, the stones fall off unnoticed, so i cant glue them back.. i hated it from then on,..

  28. @Askmewhatsnaku my hubby, he's a watch enthusiast na kasi, he had some words about your case, and he's the level headed person in our relationship ha. LOL
tas today at trinoma we saw pa their little kiosk, ikaw na-alala ko ;-)

  29. Hi, my sister bought the same watch and had the strap broken after a month's use. It's so terrible that warranty does not cover this. Apparently quality of their watches do not reciprocate their price. We are never buying this brand again.

  30. @shatzlaine aaahhh! i hate it when I buy stone whatever! Especially clips, they are pricey to start with then after one or two uses, they will start to fall off! kainizzzz
