AMW Reviews: Sleek Blush in Flamingo

Sleek makeup brand, how I love thee!
It's one of those many few brands that are inexpensive yet delivers!  So far, I'm still very happy with my Sleek Paint Pout and my Sleek Eyeshadow Palettes so it's high time I say something about their blush!

A blush will always be an "upper lifter" for my overall look!  No matter how tired-looking my eyes are, wearing the right shade of blush can give me an instant lift!  That's why I choose my blush wisely because Mr. AMW will always be there to remind me if I look like a "drunken master" or someone who sidelined as a clown!

Sleek says ---
A highly pigmented blusher to brighten and define cheekbones. The silky-fine formulation provides long lasting blusher which helps to create a subtle but radiant cheek area.

Apply using a small powder/blusher brush, by swirling the brush over the surface of the blusher. Tap off excess powder and apply onto the apples of the cheeks to emphasise your cheeks and your smile, or just below the cheek bone to create a sculpted look.
Size: 8g

AMW says ---
Pros
  • Sleek, plain black packaging that has a huge mirror!

  • Very pigmented.
  • Applies smoothly on skin.
  • Lasts the whole day even without cream blush underneath.
  • Shows up even on dark skinned individuals.
  • A little goes a long way so this blush will last you a long time!
Cons
  • The color Flamingo is easy to over-apply making you look like a clown if not applied sparingly.
  • Because of its pigmentation, it is a bit difficult to control the amount of product to be applied on cheeks.
Overall
This is my first ever Sleek Makeup Blush to date and so far, I'm impressed with its quality and pigmentation.  Flamingo is a heavily pigmented blush that shows up even on very dark skin!

Tips
  • Practice application using different blush brush to get the perfect pigmentation for your skin.
  • Applied too much?  Don't fret, use a preferred powder foundation or setting powder and gently sweep it on top of the blush to lessen pigmentation.
  • Check out blush application tips for your face shape by smiling and click here.
  • If you want to have a "glowy" finish, feel free to top your Flamingo blush shade with a shimmery powder for radiant looking skin.
  • If you are on for a heavily pigmented blush, go for soft, neutral eye makeup.
  • Always blend your blush well by using a clean powder brush.
Will I repurchase?
Yes!

To whom do I recommend this to?
Anyone who's looking for a bright pink, matte blush that has cool undertone.  This is long wearing and would work for medium to dark skinned individuals!  Fair skinned ladies may fine this a bit too unnatural to look at.

Where to purchase and how much?
Available locally at Updated Trends Multiply site for Php450.00 (approx $10.50).
** This just in!  You can check Sleek Makeup at Crossings The RAMP Shangrila Mall and Crossing THE RAMP Q. Ave.

Sleek Blush Packaging is definitely sleek and easy to take along

Color on pan: Flamingo
Matte reddish pink shade

One swipe on my arm
Gives a nice, reddish pink satin finish without any glitters

Applied lightly on my cheeks
I finished with a bright colored lipstick sans the eye makeup!
I can still look human with just a blush and lipstick!
Dear AMW readers, have you tried the Sleek Blush?
What's your favorite Sleek Blush shade?
Any other recommendation for me?

    1. The packaging is definitely better no sis? I dislike the "dirty" look of my Nars blush! I heard people have been comparing this to the shade Nars' Angelika, I do not own Angelika yet but I'm loving this!

  5. I'm using Pomegranate, and it's my most used blush to date. :)

By the way, did you have a hard time opening yours? Mine was like a tough nut to crack! But I still love it anyway.

flamingo looks pretty on you, even though it's such a strong pink shade!

    1. yes, even on foundation, he would go: "Isn't it a bit too light on you?" lol he's got the eye!!! :)

I agree with the compact, I'm scared of chipping my nail art too but I got the "right" tactic on how to open it, it takes practice! LOL

  14. I have this exact blush and it really looks nice on me even though my skin is very fair. (Yes, this can work on mestiza maidens as well)
The key to using this is proper blending and not using too much of the product - a little goes a loooong way! =)
