How To: Insanely Soft Lips

This is how my exact lips look after doing all the steps!
And I am trying my best to keep this regular and do this at least every night before I go to bed!  I hope you'll find these simple tips helpful because This Is How I Do It --- to create insanely soft lips!

What you need ---

  • A towel, or in my case, I prefer using "exfoliating wipes" as they are more effective!  Ex.  Nivea Pure Effect 3-in-1 Daily Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Wipes.

  • Any face moisturizer (without SPF) or eye cream you don't use much!  In this tutorial, I used Clinique Moisture Surge Eye Cream.
  • A highly intensive moisturizing lip product.  Ex. Elizabeth Arden Skin Protectant Eight Hour Cream  (thanks to my dearest brother for constantly supplying me this!)
or
I personally finished up more than 4 tubes!  I call this a miracle ointment!  Both me and Toddler AMW use this heavily!  I actually repurchased 2 tubes for Kyle at DTC Makeup

all thanks to Sol for throwing in this new one with lip applicator!  Yay for more lip loving moments!

Now on to the very easy steps to create really soft and healthy-looking lips!  You may do this step at the end of the day when you also want to remove hard-headed lip tints or lipsticks!

Step 1:
Grab 1 sheet of Nivea Pure Effect 3-in-1 Daily Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Wipes and use the "rough" side.

The rough side has this "grainy" texture but it never hurts my sensitive skin or lips!

Gently rub the "rough" side of the wipes with a horizontal motion to remove excess lip products and this step also helps remove dry skin!

Step 2:
This is the extra step that I like!  Pick up your face moisturizers or eye cream that has the sole purpose of "hydrating" your skin.  These products are very gentle on the eyes/face thus are gentle enough to be used on lips!

Rub a thin layer all over lips and let it sit for a couple of minutes!

P.S. lips look really red because I tested a red lip tint (review here)

Step 3:
Now using the other side of the wipes (the soft side), gently rub off excess moisturizer/eye cream.  You may let it sit but I prefer to remove it as the next step is the intense hydration step and I want to make sure my lips are soft and ready to absorb.

Step 4:
This is the final step, no rubbing or removing needed as you will leave this product until the next morning!  My 2 favorite products are Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream and Lucas' Papaw Ointment!  These 2 are the only products that stays until I wake up the next day!

Apply generous amount and PLEASE... stop yourself from licking your lips!  Trust me, the super thick layer of ointment will stop you from wanting to lick your lips!  Both products mentioned aren't that tasty :P

In the morning when you wake up, go to your usual morning regimen and brush your lips with a damp toothbrush and follow with a regular lip balm to start the day!  Just so you know, doing all the steps mentioned will help prep your skin to ANY lipstick, lip tint, lip gloss application!  My super dry lips never felt this good!

Any other tips you may add to create insanely soft lips?

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
