How To Draw Brows Using a Brow Pencil

Can you spot the difference between two photos?
I bet you can!  Both photos prove how important it is to groom, fix and apply the right brow products onto your brows!

End of post.

How To Draw Brows Using a Brow Pencil

JUST JOKING!

I've done several tutorials on how I do my brows but I haven't really done one using just a brow pencil!  I am inspired to do so when I got the Tony Moly Lovely Eye Brow Pencil during The Beauty Rush event!  I am actually impressed with this brow pencil so much I am going back to using brow pencils!  BUT, with my colored hair, I still used an extra brow product in the form of Brow Gel because my brow hairs are too black!  If you don't have colored hair and your brows aren't as dark as mine, you can literally go out using just ONE brow product --- your brow pencil of choice!

Step 1:
Comb your brow hairs upwards.  This is the perfect chance to trim your brows if they are extremely long like mine!  I won't touch my brows as I'm due for a Benefit Brow Wax this week!

Once all your brow hairs are "combed upwards", you can now follow the line and gently draw using Brow pencil with short strokes.  The combing step is important because you won't overdraw your brows!

Step 2:
I actually forgot the brow pencil from Tony Moly came with a spoolie!  So I finally used it, this time, combing the brow hairs downwards once you're done filling in the lower part of your eyebrows.

With the same strokes, gently fill in the outer top of your brows with brow pencil.  Once you got a shape you desire, gently fill with short check marks.  Please keep in mind to use very light hand motion.  Once you reach the inner corner of your brows, change your drawing direction to the same direction as the growth of your brow hairs (upwards) for a more natural effect.

Another tip, since pencils can be too harsh and lines could be obvious, use your clean pinkie finger and gently blur out harsh edges.

YOU MAY STOP WITH THE STOP ABOVE if you don't have colored hair like I do!

OPTIONAL: Pick your favorite brow gel.
I love the Benefit Gimme Brow and Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Coloring Eyebrow.

For this particular tutorial, I picked the Kiss Me Heavy Rotation one because my brows are quite thick.  I tend to use Gimme Brow when I just had my brows waxed and they appear thinner.

You may refer to my previous post on How To Lighten Brows for the right way to use the brow gels.

    1. well, what I do is Pencil first to define, then brow mascara that is close to your hair color! I think Maybelline has the reddish one pero I find it not the best brow mascara pa! Most of my brow mascaras are in "blonde" shade, maybe go for that then add some red pigments using reddish brown shadow? :D
