I bet you can! Both photos prove how important it is to groom, fix and apply the right brow products onto your brows!
End of post.
JUST JOKING!
I've done several tutorials on how I do my brows but I haven't really done one using just a brow pencil! I am inspired to do so when I got the Tony Moly Lovely Eye Brow Pencil during The Beauty Rush event! I am actually impressed with this brow pencil so much I am going back to using brow pencils! BUT, with my colored hair, I still used an extra brow product in the form of Brow Gel because my brow hairs are too black! If you don't have colored hair and your brows aren't as dark as mine, you can literally go out using just ONE brow product --- your brow pencil of choice!
Comb your brow hairs upwards. This is the perfect chance to trim your brows if they are extremely long like mine! I won't touch my brows as I'm due for a Benefit Brow Wax this week!
Step 2:
I actually forgot the brow pencil from Tony Moly came with a spoolie! So I finally used it, this time, combing the brow hairs downwards once you're done filling in the lower part of your eyebrows.
Another tip, since pencils can be too harsh and lines could be obvious, use your clean pinkie finger and gently blur out harsh edges.
YOU MAY STOP WITH THE STOP ABOVE if you don't have colored hair like I do!
OPTIONAL: Pick your favorite brow gel.
I love the Benefit Gimme Brow and Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Coloring Eyebrow.
For this particular tutorial, I picked the Kiss Me Heavy Rotation one because my brows are quite thick. I tend to use Gimme Brow when I just had my brows waxed and they appear thinner.
You may refer to my previous post on How To Lighten Brows for the right way to use the brow gels.

Now you understand why I spend at least 3-5 minutes just to do my brows!
How do you use your brow pencils?
What is your favorite brow pencil brand?
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
I'm currently using the local brand Nichido in chestnut because it's really close to my natural hair color. :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard so many great things about Nichido! will have to check it out when I go to the mall!
DeleteWow! Thanks for this Ms. Nikki. I'm actually using only a so-so brow pencil for my brows.. now I know na the proper way of using it.lol. hopefully someday i get to buy benefits gimme brow but will have my brows waxed first in their brow bar. ;) ♥
ReplyDeleteYup, go and have them waxed at least once para you have a "peg" :D
Deletehi Nikki, you must try the Maybelline brow mascara :) you look young and fresh , as always :)
ReplyDeleteI've tried it na and reviewed it :D I find it a bit drying as compared to the one I use! :D
Deleteim using nichido in chesnut and it became staple in my kit after emptying my HG kpalette two way eyebrow definer
ReplyDeletewow another Nichido fan! :D thanks for sharing!
DeleteI want to try reddish brows and my natural brow hairs appear black against the pencil. Hirap ako maghanap ng brow mascara that won't weigh down my sparse lashes. Any recos?
ReplyDeletewell, what I do is Pencil first to define, then brow mascara that is close to your hair color! I think Maybelline has the reddish one pero I find it not the best brow mascara pa! Most of my brow mascaras are in "blonde" shade, maybe go for that then add some red pigments using reddish brown shadow? :D
