AMW Wears: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink Cognito and Lip Lacquer in Smoky Topaz

So I'm finally going out with a nude lips look once again!
Yes, I've been trying every possible combination for that nude yet "not sick" look.  I've found another great combination this time from Revlon!

I recently got the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick  in Pink Cognito and Lip Lacquer in Smoky Topaz from BDJ Elite Box Revlon Love Is On, I gave it a test drive for a couple of times and I'm ready to share my very simple day time look wearing both products.

Wearing this lipstick alone to create the look above is enough if you don't have crocodile-skinned lips!  But, if you have parched lips like I do, this lippie won't make it to the cut!  Wearing this alone will create dry, flaky and chapped lips!  I just can't seem to go out wearing only this because I look like I just had my lips exfoliated without removing the excess skin!

As much as I love the effect, I have to either pile on a clear gloss OR....

Top it with my favorite Lip Lacuqer from Revlon in Smoky Topaz.  I am so thankful I get this shade on box because this is definitely a great dupe for expensive lip lacquers out there!

For the price, it is worth every penny because the texture is smooth and easy to apply, does not have the slightest sticky-feel and best of all?  It gives a nice gloss blurring out dry lines!  My lips felt and looks hydrated for at least 3-4 hours.
Just like any lip gloss or lip lacquer, re-application is needed which I don't mind because it is a dream to apply this product and the brush applicator is very soft and easy to work with.

As for application, I highly recommend to start at the center of the lips and without pressure, pat the product going outward towards the edge of lips!  The patting method will help retain the lovely color of your lipstick underneath adding a bit of pigment with ton of shine!

I am very happy wearing this combination and I can even wear it on my lightest eye makeup without having people stare at me or friends asking me if I'm sick.

Have you tried Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick or Lip Lacquer?
Do you like the combination of Pink Cognito and Smoky Topaz?

Keep smilin'
Stay happy!

  2. Pretty but I guess I will pass on these ones. I got pale lips that is why I prefer darker lip colors.
