Cathy Doll Nude Me Liquid Lip Matte Review (ALL 9 Shades)

If you follow me on social media, you've probably seen that I was recently a host for Cathy Doll's All Dolled Up With Cathy Doll event which happened last May 25 at Spatzle, Shangrila Mall.



So many items were launched during that day, from Sculpting Highlight and Shading Cushion down to 3 new Nude Me Eyeshadow Palettes and Eyebrow Cara, the particular line that caught everyone's excitement and attention the most are the Nude Me Liquid Lip Mattes.





Total shades released in Thailand are 9 shades but 6 were launched and the other 3 shades to follow, I am excited to share my thoughts about these newest Liquid Lip Mattes because I was lucky enough to get them during my Bangkok,Thailand trip last February and I was able to try and test them all!

Housed in a box with similar color as the liquid lip matte, I like how these cute Doll characters are "nude" but not in a "bastos" way!

01 True Brown

Too scared to wear this shade as I felt this is too "millennial" for me!  But truth be told, if I wanted to achieve that "younger look" and probably will try to get into clubs like I am only 18 years old (I wish!)  I can give this lip color a try!

Again, this shade is not my personality but this is a great "alter-ego" color.

02 Nude Brown

One of my top picks from the collection!  I personally love how "warm" the color is considering this is almost "too nude" for my taste.  Thankfully, Cathy Doll added more Brown shade to it thus making it a great lip color even with minimal makeup.

03 Rose Embroidery

As you can see, this is almost close to 02 Nude Brown but lessening the "brown shade" adding a bit more of the "pink" color I want in a nude lip product.  I still appreciate the fact that this is in between cool and warm tone thus it doesn't create that "sickly" look I dislike!

04 Rose Bloom

A lip color that has more "peach undertone".  Looks great on photos, a bit tricky to wear in person!  I have to at least pair this lip color with an earth-tone makeup look to enhance my features instead of washing my features out.

05 Peach Me

As the name states, it has more PEACH tone to this lip color (almost neon peach in person).  This has more cool undertone to it thus you have to be careful if you have fair and sallow skin like I do!  Another great lip color on photos but tricky to wear in person!

This color is perfect for users who have medium to darker complexion.

06 Dusty Rose

A bright baby pink lip color that would work for teenagers or maybe, if the trend of baby pink lip color returns!  I still appreciate Cathy Doll adding in this color in the collection because this can be worn alone or mixed with a darker color available in this collection to create new shades!

07 Moss Rose

Out of all the shades available in this collection, this is the most natural and safe color to wear.  This works for ALL skin tones and would look great whether you have fair or dark complexion.  This is a great daily lip color.

08 Aggie Maroon

This is a perfect lip color for those who prefer that bit bold lip statement!  I remember having clients requesting for a dark purple lips and I can't seem to find a perfect one at that time!  I guess, this will definitely go straight to my make up KIT!

09 Burgundy Red

A warm deep red color that would work well on ALL skin tone!  Whether you have fair, medium or dark complexion, you can definitely wear this color as it warms up the face and works best for Filipina skin.

Now, like I said, I got these lip colors way earlier than the launch day itself so I was able to test and use these products a couple of times to be able to come up with a feedback.

AMW says ---

• Love the wide variety/range of shades!  You get a lot of nudes, browns, peach, a pink, a red and a deep purple shade!  What more can you ask for?
• The packaging is AMAZING!  The tube is made like a lipstick bullet but it is housed in a liquid matte lipstick tube --- which is a tube with an applicator.
• The doe-foot applicator is one of the best I've tried in the market!  It has 2 flat sides so I can apply color all over my lips with just a single "pump".  One flat side on each lip and the "thin side" is best to apply those inner corners of your mouth.
• Highly pigmented.  You get the TRUE shade in just a SINGLE swipe.
• Inexpensive.
• Lasts longer than most liquid matte lipsticks I've tried.
• For users with extremely dry lips like I do, this will feel tight or will feel drying an hour after application!  Will enhance lip lines. 
• Some shades are okay for dry lips (Shades 2-6).  Darker and more pigmented shades like shades 1, 7, 8 and 9 are extremely drying.

Overall, I am extremely IN LOVE with the shades and with the product itself.  The only downside is that, most of them are really drying especially since I have very dry and parched lips!  Since I am loving the shades and how it looks on me, I usually go for "tiis-ganda" and keep on re-applying lip balm in between hours!  It is a sacrifice I have to live for because it is extremely matte and gorgeous to wear!
