Happy Lunar Year of the Metal Ox!

 

Serving you some reds and style for the year of the Metal Ox!

I am full blooded Chinese (Both parents are Chinese) and to be exact, both sides are Cantonese so yes - full blooded Cantonese but born and raised in the Philippines so I am accustomed to both cultures and traditions.

Up until this very day, we follow Chinese traditions and celebrations and the Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebration!

We may have some changes and not be as strict as my grandparents’ times - I won’t be able to wear that black belt with my Lolo and Lola around!  

Born on the Year of the Goat, we were told the year of the Metal Ox is not compatible people born on the Year of the Goat, but I am quite positive these are just guides and I am in charge of my own happiness, success, failures.  

How 2021 will look like?

We all can’t tell, no one can!  But I pray for your constant peace, happiness, good health and fortune!

Style Series: Work From Home OOTD

Who says I don't dress up?
Well, I kind of do, when I have Zoom calls or FB Live sessions.  At times, I just like to dress nicely because I want to feel good after more than a 100 days of staying at home!

Uniqlo recently launched their T-Shirt series and I am most excited about their U Crew Neck Short Sleeve Shirts!  I honestly want to own all the colors they have but I picked a shade I don't see much inside my closet!  A color that reminded me so much of CAT days but daintier!  Imagine pairing this with a Military pants?

Since I don't have a military pants, I paired this dainty yet simple top with a dainty skirt from BAYO.  This has a nice slit that make the overall look "Girl-Next-Door"-ish.

AMW Wears: Skechers GOWalk2

Even without shoes, I literally "bounce" when I do anything because I'm such a hyper girl!  BUT, when it comes to footwear, I am very particular with what I wear and comfort will always be top priority even way back when I wasn't even a mom!  Now that I am a mom of an active toddler, my standard when it comes to comfortable footwear shoot up! 

And you can't blame me, this active 26lbs. toddler likes to be carried by his momma (akala niya magaan siya! :P)  So most of my "comfortable footwear" turned out to be "not enough"

So when I read blogs and saw on the Instagram of friends I follow talk highly about the new Skechers GOWalk 2, shoes that are said to be engineered for comfort and you can literally #FeelTheBounce upon wearing them, well..this "energizer bunny" literally hopped to wear this shoes and test a pair myself!
