Visit #FlairAtRockwell This Weekend

Every Christmas Season, I look forward to Christmas Bazaars.  For the past years, the happenings are getting better IMHO.

One that I attended and it was just a simulation was such a great experience I am planning to return over weekend.

Yes, Flair Pop Up is only happening this weekend November 23-24, 2019 at The Fifth At Rockwell so please ...at least...try to be there physically even for a day because there are a lot of new participating brands that is worth buying from!

But of course, there's always my long-time favorite bread brand Boulangerie22!

And a new brand called Wanderlust which is the Official and Exclusive Distributor of Anekke Bags!

Weekend Food Trip at: Sunrise Buckets

Once I was stuck in traffic, then I tuned in to this radio station wherein radio DJs were blindfolded, trying out different flavors of Sunrise Buckets Chicken.

I was salivating like no other inside the car and vouched to try this restaurant when I get the chance.

After a nice bonding with the family, we were walking along the mall trying to search for restaurants we can try!  Then I saw Sunrise Buckets near the cinema at the Powerplant Mall and we didn't have to think twice!

I know the restaurant is called Sunrise Buckets as they serve "buckets" of different flavored chicken!  From Hickory to Smokin' BBQ, there's also Black peppered, Garlic Glazed, Garlic, Parmesan, Jack Daniel's, Honey Jalapeno, Maple and Ultimately Crazy Hot.

The ORIGINAL Penguin Store

I have known about the brand Original Penguin for many years now!  I've first seen their store in Hong Kong and actually owned quite a few because I love how comfortable they feel and how they last no matter how many washes!

But these days, style has evolved, people are starting to wear more fashionable pieces (no matter how uncomfortable they are!)  I have gone through the same bandwagon and have worn several uncomfortable clothing just to feel how it is to be part of fashion!

Now where's the comfort in fashion you say?

Thankfully, the Original Penguin offers more than just comfort, they offer a whole lot of style, even lifestyle!

The new Rockwell location showcases Original Penguin’s aesthetic of contemporary style, without compromising classic appeal. The brand is now larger than ever, becoming a one-stop shop that features its classic and latest collections of apparel and accessories, alongside its newest offerings, bedding and luggage. It has also become the first international fashion brand to hold a full-service barbershop inside its retail stores.

Weekend Food Trip at: Wooden Spoon Rockwell Powerplant Mall

Tucked inside the posh Rockwell mall is a Filipino "Comfort Food" restaurant called Wooden Spoon by Sandy Daza.  I grew up watching the "Dazas" on TV learning recipes after recipes.  I always tell myself: "They look great on TV but I bet they don't taste as good in person!"

When the family and I had were finally at the mall and decided to grab dinner there, it was perfect timing for me to see if it is worth the visit!

Lechon Kawali
Php265.00
This is every Filipino's favorite.  I agree, they use the leanest pork belly and simmered it until very tender before deep-fried.  That explains the crunchy texture on the outside and juicy soft pork on the inside!   This comes with 3 different dipping and I love them all!

 Pan Grilled Tuna Belly
Php310.00
I've always been a fan of Tuna Belly from Gery's, but this is definitely a-must-try dish at Wooden Spoon.  Why?  Well, the tuna belly here is juicy and grilled in perfection!  With kamatis itlog na maalat, crunchy green magoes and bagoong, this reminds me so much of HOME.

AMW Reports: Shu Uemura Rockwell's New Look + Contest

If you pass by Shu Uemura rockwell branch, you'll definitely take a second (or even third) look!  Who wouldn't?  Look at the colorful lights that screams TOKYO!

And before I get all "intriga", thankfully, I was invited for an exclusive walk-through last week to take a peek on what's new and what's happening at the Shu Uemura Flagship store.

Did I mention Shu's new retail concept is inspired by Tokyo?  I did!  And truthfully, the store does remind me of Tokyo for its' vibrant, lively look accompanied by quirky chairs and live-moving screens!  Ahhhh..how I missed Tokyo, I will definitely go back!  If you want some Tokyo Travel tips visit my blog posts HERE.

Now back to the store.
Upon entering the store, I immediately saw different sections to "Play With".

The ShuATELIER
This is the heart of the retail store.  The display area that showcases all of Shu Uemura's make-up products and what I love about this area is that you can easily find and see ALL the products at a glance!

Above the counter, you will also see shuLIVE...
The area were you can watch behind-the-scenes videos and make-up demos of International Artistic Director Kakuyasu Uchiide and the rest of the Shu Elite team.
