Weekend Snacking: Jamaican Pattie

Hey everyone!!! How was your weekend?
Mine was great as seen on my previous post! I've attended a P&J seminar, met Sab, Sab's Mommy and Kim then Sunday, the family and hubby went to the DUTY FREE SHOP here in the Philippines.

Why did I go to the Duty Free Shop to shop??? That's where I buy my Clinique products as I'm done with my Moisture Surge Extra Thirsty Skin Relief as seen in my previous post and I have finally bought the Clinique's Moisture Surge EXTENDED Thirsty Skin Relief.

I will do a post on what I purchased soon! It's late when we got back so I'm a bit tired and it takes some time to do all those cropping! :D

I did some weekend snacking and let me show you a snack that me and hubby enjoyed snacking.

The Jamaican Pattie' Shop!
I had this over the weekend at the Glorietta Mall

as the Store is CUTER! :D

Eventhough the filling looks thin,
the taste is just WOW!
A good serving of beef/chicken/tuna with their specialy sauce!

Paul & Joe Event and Meeting Nice People :D

Paul & Joe, my favorite cosmetics brand, had a 3-day event this weekend. I got this over the mailbox but I kinda forgot about the dates. Good thing I got a text message to remind me about this. I have work on Friday, so I attended Saturday event instead :) Once is better than NONE right?

I have met a Sab, a wonderful blogger friend, for the 2nd time and this time, it's with her MOM!!! Her mom is so cool! :)

I've also met a new blogger friend KIM *waves at Kim* thanks for introducing yourself to me! I would've never recognized you! Kim is lucky because she won the P&J jewelry box raffle!!! And she's proud to be a P&J girl now!!! :D

And I was asked by my hubby
to look back and SMILE! LOL

It was a great event and I enjoyed chatting with fellow make-up addicts. We've decided to walk around the mall and I went in the Face Shop and the SA, who's always been nice to me told me about the "bundled" Changpo Magic Straight Shampoo and Conditioner. LOL Yeah, she knew that I love it! I think, I've used a total of 4 sets of Changpo Magic Straight Shampoo and Conditioner! And they get to be out-of-stock a lot of times!!

Though I am currently using my Tsubaki Shampoo and Conditioner, I knew that I'll be going back to TFS Changpo Set! So...I bought the sets (I said sets cause I bought 2 hahaha) for back-up as I get to save Php115.00 (approx $3.45) per set!

I've also hauled so much on lashes as I don't go to Glorietta as frequent as before!

I have ordered from the She Space Minerals months ago and I haven't had the chance to play with it again til now! (click here to see what I ordered)

I got inspired with the gold pigment, so I've decided to work with it!

2. Using Prestige #103 Shadow Crease Brush, apply She Space's Cindy's Got Grumption on the outer crease

3. Highlight with the same Prestige #103 Shadow Crease brush with Bonjour Beige Rose to highlight the brow bone and inner corner of the eye.

Askmewhats Reviews: TBS Nature's Minerals Cheek Color

As seen in my previous Coming Soon post, I got the chance to test on The Body Shop Nature's Minerals Collection. (again thanks to Lisa of Ignite Social Media )

I love blushes so I started using the blush first for the first part of my TBS Nature's Minerals review.

Color: Warm Copper

Nature's Minerals Cheek Color Says ---

• Mediterranean clay is an absorbent mineral that helps bind make-up to skin for long-lasting coverage.
• Mica adds luster and has light-diffusing particles to help disguise fine lines.
• Titanium dioxide and red, yellow and black iron oxide provide a natural-looking color palette.
• Dermatologist-tested with no added fillers, preservatives or fragrances.
  

Askmewhats Says ---

Pros

• you won't be looking like a clown for sure as this creates a soft, natura- looking color
• has tiny gold specks that can create a natural sun-kissed look
  
• good quality packaging, I've checked the bottom part and the plastic is no. 7 (which is good number for water bottle)
• since the sifter is made of mesh, it makes the mineral finer thus you can never have "streaks" on your cheeks.
• no allergies for me!
  

Cons

• based on the color Warm Copper, I would say it won't show up on some skin tone, so you have to really pack on the product to get the desired look.
  
• can be messy for people who are not used to mineral make-up
  

Overall

TBS NM Warm Copper is a pretty combination of Peach and Gold. I would say it reminded me so much of NARS Orgasm not because of the color but because of the gold shimmer both products have. Even the size of the gold specks are exactly the same as Orgasm. <--- good timing I got my Orgasm huh?


Tips

• use a denser brush (in my opinion) when you apply this blush, as I've tried using a loose brush and I can't seem to see the color on my cheeks.
• start less then build up the color you desire
  
• if you are looking for an "obvious" blush, this won't be it as TBS NM is aiming for natural looking beauty!
  

Will I repurchase?

Yes, I am aiming for Pink Quartz...hmmm..
Cheek Colors are available in 4 colors - Pink Quartz, Golden Terracotta, Warm Copper and Brown Topaz

How much?

At the local Body Shop, costs Php895 (approx $18.00)

It's not the usual holes from most plastic sifters
They use mesh as sifters

(you can always re-apply if needed)

For reference, I swirled, tapped and buffed 2-3 times on each cheek to get this result

How do you like my Warm Copper Cheeks?
