AMW Makeover: 3 Different Prenup Pictorial looks

I enjoy doing makeup for couples!  This segment of AMW makeover is no exception!

Prior to the wedding day is the prenup shoot that a lot of couples have been waiting for!  These days, prenup shoots are getting more and more creative!

Carmela, beautiful girl even without makeup has this "inner glow" and it wasn't difficult for me to do her makeup for her first look....

Though Carmela has normal skin to start with, I did not stop myself from prepping her skin with a primer because her first shoot is done in the pool area of EDSA Shangri-la Hotel.

Seriously, this gorgeous girl has nothing much to hide so I just applied a thin layer of cream foundation and set with MAC's Mineralized Skin Finish powder.  She just had her hair dyed a week ago so I dyed her eyebrows with an eyebrow gel of course, prior to that, I drew her brows a bit thicker than her natural brows for her eyes to pop on photos.
The gorgeous bride-to-be has very sensitive eyes and tears welled up a bit when I applied her falsies but she got used to it and it defined her eyes even more!

I finished the look with pink blush and pink lipstick for that very sweet, innocent look!

I also did the groom's makeup, but I wasn't able to take a before and after shot of him.  Here's a stolen shot of them during a shoot on the hotel pool area.

Next set, we head off to Chateau 1771, there it started to rain so they were quite lucky to have done all the outdoor shots in the morning.  I added a bit more contouring for the groom-to-be while Kim styled his hair!

Carmela changed into this gorgeous navy blue outfit that Kim and I were both inspired to create a "Glamorous Look".  Nice wild curls for her while I darkened her eye makeup and added a bit of darker liner creating a thicker line.  I changed her blush color to a bright peachy shade and used a bright orange tone lipstick to create a nice contrast against her outfit.  Color blocking was my inspiration!
They seem to have realized we were trying to get shots of them so they finally smiled and waved at the "unofficial" camera! :)

For the third look, Carmela changed into a really sexy dress with eye-catching pieces of jewelries as styled by Sydney Yap.  Kim fixed the curls and clipped one side of her hair as I went on and created a smokey eye makeup and fixed her falsies to make sure its perfectly in place.

I went back and applied a shimmery pink blush and contoured her face making her beautiful features pop even more!  Last but not the least, to create a nice impact against the earth-toned colored dress, I applied a bright red lipstick from MAC's Red She Said.

For someone who's not comfortable wearing heavy makeup, I am glad Carmela is quite adventurous and told me to do whatever I want just for the shots to come out nice!

Well, I want to tell her that she looks good in all types of makeup!

Congratulations to the lovely couple!
Can't wait to see both of you tie the knot!

What's your favorite look out of the three?
My bet would be the last one, I've never seen here in this type of makeup! :)

Nail Art Tutorial: Fireworks-looking Flowers

Happy Monday everyone!  Most of you are on a long holiday weekend but that doesn't stop me from creating a Nail Art Tutorial to start the weak bright and full of fireworks!

To be honest, it isn't even close to fireworks but the flowers I've created in this tutorial have more petals which look quite Katy Perry-ish "Fireworks".  Just my imagination...don't mind me!  :P

Here's my final nail art....

If you do wonder, I was inspired with the color combination from my own mobile phone!  My sister-in-law gifted me this neon orange casing and it came out pretty well!  Thanks Shobe! :)

Let's start the tutorial shall we?  First few photos were taken by yours truly but thankfully, Mr. AMW got home just when I was doing the complicated parts!  :D

Weekend Food Tripping at: Sentro and Figaro + Meetup with So Loverly "Girl"

I know I've said this a lot of times and I don't mind saying it over and over again....

I am really happy I started this blog because I have met so many wonderful friends!  I can't believe how many friends I got to meet Near or Far...*singing Titanic Song*  lol

A month ago, I was lucky enough to meet the wonderful bloggers in Singapore  (read post HERE and HERE).  It was a great year for me and it wasn't the end of meet-ups this year!

Another "cyber" friend of mine, one of the So Loverly girls Lisa messaged me to let me know she's coming for a very short vacation in Manila.  I think it was literally 3 days and I was really touched she chose to spend time with me!

She chose a location, it was Greenbelt and I picked the restaurant....

SENTRO

I can't remember when was the last time I dined in here but I was still single then!  Years for sure!  I won't forget the wonderful experience with the Corned Beef Sinigang, which by the way is the specialty of the said restaurant!

Mr. AMW and I were busy discussing about what we would like them to try and so far, we came up with this!  Lisa and her husband Alex are quite adventurous with food so we didn't have a hard time!

Sago't Gulaman
We actually requested for a sample of this before they went on and order for their own glass!  It was good drink to welcome them to such hot and humid country!

Sizzling Tofu
Php250.00 (approx $5.80)
Diced tofu in a special soy and little mayo dressing served on sizzling plate.
Funny it states in their menu: "Parang Sisig pero Tofu!"  So true!  I like this dish and wouldn't mind ordering this again.  Sue me, I'm a tofu lover!

 Home-Style Chicken Adobo
 Solo Php220.00 (approx $5.10)
Sharing Php420.00 (approx $9.80)
Chicken stewed in cane vinegar, soy sauce and native garlic
Not bad, but it's not something I would like to order again and again!  I find the chicken to be a bit on a "diet" it isn't as meaty as I want my Adobo should be!  Oh, I wouldn't mind to have more sauce too!

 Adobong Kangkong
Php80.00 (approx $2.00)
Water spinach braised and stewed in vinegar and soy sauce
Approve!  Love the crunchy garlic bits added on top!

 Sinigang na Corned Beef
 Solo Php310.00 (approx $7.20)
Sharing Php595.00 (approx $13.90)
Corned beef short ribs and boneless shanks in tamarind broth with native vegetables
Who doesn't eat Sinigang?  Definitely NOT ME!  I love Sinigang and I usually prefer them in Pork but I've tried the Corned Beef Sinigang from Sentro multiple times and it has always been a great experience.  My only complaint though is the pot they used in serving the dish is a bit too small!  I like the old version better as I had a hard time serving soup!

The photo below is a "SHARING" size by the way!

We forgot to take photos but we devour on Garlic Rice and Plain Rice.  The best way to eat Filipino dish is with rice!  Am I right? RICE!  *laughs*

After our wonderful dinner at Sentro, the couple wanted us to talk further and we went to the nearby coffee shop Figaro!

Fruit Cake

My Little Oscar
Which is another name for Sans Rival

Cafe Latte or Cafe Au Lait
Sorry this wasn't my order! :) Alex's drink!

 White Chocolate Mocha
I love this! This never fails to boost up my cheefulness!

A shot of me and Lisa Gosh!
I love you girl! Thank you so much for the time and I had a great,
long-lost friend conversation with you! :)

Double Date :)

It was a wonderful weekend food tripping especially with good friends!
