AMW Reviews: K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow Mascaras

Seldom can I find eyebrow mascara in light colored shades!  Long time readers would know I get my light colored brow mascaras either in Hong Kong or Singapore.  Thankfully, now that I have a baby, meaning, and lesser travel for the coming years, at least, I don't have to worry about restocking my favorite light colored mascaras for myself and for clients who like to lighten their hair as K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow Mascara is finally here!

And yes, thank goodness they brought in Light Brown (the shade I find most difficult to purchase locally) and Natural Brown, which is a perfect shade for girls who colored their hair medium brown.

On the exterior, it looks exactly like the rest of the eyebrow mascaras I've purchased through the years!

But don't judge the exterior as this one from K-Palette has one of the most unique "brush" I've seen so far!  The brush applicator looks just like a shower head and this is said to help apply the mascara onto each eyebrow strand without smearing to your skin!

Something New: Pixi by Petra

"Makeup to Wakeup" - the philosophy behind Pixi, the newest brand I got to know because of Glamourbox!

I believe makeup is best created by a makeup artist, and Pixi is definitely not an excemption!  Petra Strand, is a makeup artist and mother of two who really wanted to create beauty product that make you look like you had a good night's sleep!  Say AYE if you agree!!! AYE!!!!

And what's the exciting part about Pixi is that the products are made with ingredients that are beneficial to your skin!  All their makeup are also considered skincare which made me yelp a big: "Owwww????"

I always consider makeup as "makeup", never skincare, they are still chemically laden products that needed to be washed off immediately at the end of the day!  BUT, if a makeup is said to be beneficial to your skin, why not?  It is something I am extremely looking forward to try!

Weekend Food Trip: Why I Should Make Time to Dine in at ZHU Kitchen

First things first, this maybe a beauty blog but I still like to post about food!  You know why?  Because food plays a very important role in our family!  Growing up, we never go to restaurants as my mom (a superstar housewife) wants to save up every single centavo for our education, allowances, home-cooked meals, gas, etc...dining in a restaurant would only mean one thing, a MAJOR celebration!  So it was until my eldest brother graduated from college and started his first work were we able to eat Jollibee, McDonalds then as soon as all of us finished our studies, we graduated to fine dining restaurants.

Until this very day, eating means spending quality time with the family, we celebrate life's triumph with a simple take-out meals or just a simple phone call to meet up in a particular favorite restaurant just to celebrate.  Mind you, it doesn't have to be an expensive fine-dining restaurant.

And I carried that "habit" until this very day!  After every makeup gig, after every makeup workshop, an event I attended, or whenever I'm outside, you'll see me bidding goodbye to my friends telling them: "May dadaanan lang akong restaurant, take out for the family!" (I need to stop someplace for food takeout.)  I do that even to my extended family!  I guess, I show my love really through food, because I love food so much I expect all my loved ones to be the same! *harharhar*

That's where blogging about food comes in (seriously, nobody asked pero feel ko lang magkwento!  lol).  Whenever I visit my parents during weekend, Keith and I would either invite them to dine out, or at times, when we just want to relax and stay at their place, we would go for take out meals!  For someone who does this every so often, you'll end up worrying which restaurant to go to every weekend!

Since we live at Manila area, we frequent Banawe area and finally decided to visit the Z-Square Mall!  Of course, Lucky Rainbow restaurant will always be a top choice but I highly suggest to go their for dine in!  I took a peek at their ground floor and saw the restaurant Zhu Kitchen.  Why not?  We haven't tried anything from there!

It is a habit for Mr. AMW, Baby AMW and I to have a bit of dimsum snack while waiting for our orders!  And what's the best way to know if a restaurant is good or not?  Order their Siomai!

Pork Siomai
Php90.00 (approx $2.00)
Passed!  Definitely passed our pick taste with it comes to Siomai!  I used to dislike Siomai and there are only a few restaurants I enjoy Pork Siomai, and Zhu Restaurant is definitely included!

AMW Reports: Oishi Snacktacular Event 2014

Happy Saturday!
Upon reading this, I'm at Rustan's Shangri-la Mall doing a Real Liner workshop for Benefit Cosmetics Philippines.  Feel free to drop by and say hi anytime!  My workshop is at 3:00-4:00pm, I hope to see you there?

Now back to what happened last week, I had the chance to attend Oishi's Snacktacular Event which was one of the most "BONGGA" event I've attended for a food/snack brand!  Imagine, Glorietta 2 Activity Center, people crowded and I can't even seem to get in without the help of the security!  Thankfully, I saw media friend Ira from www.femalenetwork.com!

We got so excited we went for the first STOP, which I think we should've done this last!  For the price of Php295.00, you get to choose a huge "Oishi" snack bag.

Ira chose Marty's Cracklin' while I picked Caramel Popcorn!  It was around 2 feet tall and what to do with this?

You get to fill in ANY Oishi Item your hearts desire!   At first, I piled in all the snacks from Oishi then realized, I have to be smart!  I changed them to my favorite Oaties milk and some "can't live without" snacks like Pillows and Sponge!  Which of course, made my bag super heavy!  I may have left Kyle on the Foodcourt with Mr. AMW and yaya, I actually carried the weight of Kyle during the WHOLE Oishi Snacktacular event!  *laughs*

Afterwards, Ira and I decided to create our own snack!  The line was a bit long but I find the staffs super professional we reached our turn in no time!

AMW Reviews: Koji Line Beat 24H Long Lasting Eyeliner (Dark Brown)

If you are into Asian cosmetics, you probably heard about the brand Koji.  I knew about this brand during our Tokyo trip and I bought their brow mascara and they work amazing!  Thankfully I learned that Koji products are FINALLY available in Manila!  Feel free to check out their available on "Where to purchase" section below!

Today, I am very excited to share my thoughts on Koji Line Beat 24H Long Lasting Eyeliner Pencil, Koji Line Beat has been known for their felt tip eyeliner pen, I haven't tried that but I heard they are really good!  So I got really excited and tested this pencil for more than a month!  I'm finally ready to share my thoughts after trying it out on several occasions!  And yes, I cried once wearing this liner (not because I'm sad, it was because I was chopping those darn onions! lol)
