Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stains Review

If you mention Revlon, the brand, right in front of my face...you'll always hear this from me: "They make amazing lip products!"

And I still stand by that statement after trying out the newest Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain.

A stain that is moisturizing?  You got me at that!  I believe they came up with 12 shades (all with cute travel-related names) but I got to try only 4 so I'm basing my opinions on these 4 shades!

My Modern Muse

Before I went to bed last night, I browsed through my Facebook photos and went back to year 2009, the year I turned 30.  It was the usual office celebration for us (with theme and costumes) and little did I know, my colleagues surprised me by inviting my mom.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not playing favoritism, I love both my mom and dad dearly but because my mom is the ultimate housewife, I spent more time with her that's why I am closer to my mom!  Don't worry, I'm getting there with my dad! (bumabawi ako!)

My colleagues knew how much I love and admire my mom that's why they made sure to have her with us during my big 3-0 birthday.  Little did I know it was the year after that she went through surgery and almost lost her life!  Then, I realized....it is never too early to tell your loved ones how much you love them.  Because when that day happened, deep in my heart, I knew I've done my part...showing her how much I love and appreciate her (daily) with lots of "I love yous", "I miss yous" and "Thank yous".

Yes, she is my Modern Muse.

When I got an invite to attend the launch of Estee Lauder's newest fragrance called the Modern Muse, I seriously wanted to go as we were asked to bring the special "Muse" in our lives!  I wanted to tell the world how proud I am of my mom...but due to unfortunate circumstances....yaya-less etc...I wasn't able to make it but I won't miss the opportunity to tell the world about my Muse.

A muse doesn't have to be young, perfect-looking and "sosyal".  A muse, in my dictionary is a woman of substance, a woman who has virtues, a woman who can juggle everything and never look tired or complain she's tired.  That's my mom!  Through her, I learned to be humble, helpful, grateful and God-fearing.  Through her, I learned to try to be a "Modern Muse" to my loved ones too!

Looking at the packaging of the Modern Muse Eau De Parfum, I knew from the start it calls for my mom's name!  She may not look "kikay" or into beauty but she is definitely one!  (San ko kaya nakuha ang kakikayan ko kundi from her right?)  She secretly loves it when people tell her she smells great!  That's why she loves to spritz on fragrances kahit mamamalengke lang siya! :)

"Estēe Lauder Modern Muse EDP is a vivacious, warm, and contemporary mix of sleek woods and Jasmine that greatly captures the dynamism of the modern woman."

AMW Reports: Heroine Make Cosmetics in Manila!

In which event the 3 of us (Kuala Lumpur 2010 travel buddies) united?
At the Heroine Make Philippine Launch!

HEROINE MAKE is a Japanese Cosmetic Line which aims to empower women to be their own kind of leading lady.  That is what I've always been aiming for as Mr. AMW makes me feel like one each and everyday! *kilig*

When you visit Japan, you'll probably end up buying too much and nothing!  I went for the latter, I wasn't able to purchase any Japanese cosmetics because I got so confused with all the lovely packaging and the different brands!  That's why I am very happy when brands arrive, because that means, someone tried it, really loved it to have brought the said brand locally!

Just like these products!

With 10 years (and counting) history, Heroine Make was first sighted in neighboring countries Hong Kong and Singapore in Sasa, Bonjour and other drugstore counters.  So yes, we don't need to travel afar to grab our favorite Heroine Make products as they are here!  And the best part?  They are priced really affordable for consumers who are on a budget like YOU and ME!

AMW Reviews: Snoe's SABStance Blushes in X6 Faith and X8 Love

Happy Monday AMW friends!  Today, I will be sharing 2 blushes that's included in my collection.  I am so proud to share about this because this blush line is a collaboration between SNOE and my dear makeup artist and blogger friend Sabs Hernandez.

Sabs has been "up there" in the makeup industry, I've read her names in various glossies and she has made her mark in her various works!  That is why I am not surprised she finally collaborated with a brand and truth be told....if you have a makeup artist create colors and makeup in general?  It must be really good!

Snoe SABStance High Intensity Powder Blush
I believe Sabs came up with 10 blush shades with names like Faith, Hope, Love, Courage, Joy, Patience, Respect, Just, Wisdom and Honor.  Names that definitely gives SUBSTANCE to what a person should be.

Now let's veer away from the exterior and let's talk about the blush itself.  The first thing that came up to my mind are my favorite  Tarte blush because of the presence of Amazonian Clay!

Weekend Food Trip at: Slammin' MinI Burgers + Fries + Dips

When you walk in a Burger joint and there are so many choices to choose from, don't you just want to taste them all?

That's my dilemma #sosyproblems

Thankfully, Slammin' burger solved my problem by creating mini version of our favorite burgers!  And the best thing?  You wouldn't mind ordering this on a date because it won't get as messy as regular sized burgers!

Last weekend, I invited my family to join me at Slammin' Mini Burgers + Fries + Dips located at Promenade.  It was supposed to be a "pre-dinner" thing but my family ended up so full and contented we almost didn't push through with the "Mr. AMW Birthday Dinner"!

Slammin' Mini Burgers got its start when Slammin' President Patrick Dy (great job!)  and his partners decided to take their existing brand, Slammer Burgers (we tried this and I definitely choose Slammin'!  Tastes way much better!)  in new direction. According to Mr. Dy: "We changed our whole culture, look and logo.  Totally revamped and upgraded our menu.  The main reason for the change is for Slammin' to eventually become the number one mini burger concept in Asia."

I won't be surprised if that happens!
