AMW Reviews: Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher

When I went to SM North EDSA 2 weeks ago for a quick Meet and Greet with Cover Girl Philippines during the BDJ Camp Gorgeous, I dropped by Etude House store to check out what's new.  I saw cute blushes called Lovely Cookie Blusher and I realized, I have 1 at home which was a "trade in" between me and a friend.  The particular shade Carrot Cheesecake is from 2012 Collection but upon checking their website, it is still available in store (and there are more shades to choose from!) so feel free to pick one up or swatch in store and tell me your thoughts.

AMW no makeup except Carrot Cheesecake blush applied on key areas of the face (cheeks, forehead and chin)

AMW Cooks: Sitaw Dish

If you recently got married and left your parents home, you probably felt what I felt like 7 years ago...actually, even today!  You'll definitely miss your mom's cooking!  (or whoever cooks for you when you were younger)

Mr. AMW's side of the family is carnivorous!  *laughs*  And my mom never cooks meat on their own, she always mix it with vegetables to make sure they are include din our diet!  So after the happiness of meat-eating for the first few years of our marriage, I suddenly missed vegetables!  Thanks to my mom's cooking, I was able to share a simple vegetable recipe that even a non-herbivore like my sister-in-law appreciates!  :)

Home-cooked Sitaw Dish (Yardlong Beans)

Ingredients:
  • Sitaw chopped into smaller pieces.
  • Ground pork.
  • Egg
  • Salt and Pepper

If You Want to Tell Your Mom and Dad: "You're Special, Just Because..."

If you have been a long-time reader of my blog, you probably know by now how important Family is to me!  I would do ANYTHING for my family especially form y parents!  But of course, we don't have to wait for special occasions to tell them how much we appreciate them for all the years of unconditional love and support.  Now that I'm a mom/parent, I understand how hard it is to raise a child!  And I am more vocal with my appreciation to both my parents and I always thank them and say: "I love you".

Now that I'm a grown adult, I have means to share them and "spoil" them with material things.  I know they enjoy dining out so I make sure to let them dry different restaurants from time to time.  I also know how much my parents are into small, inexpensive surprises so I make sure to buy them random stuff that I know they'll appreciate and probably think of me whenever they use it.

My mom uses hairspray daily, so I make sure to be her constant supplier of hairspray.  Aside from that, she also loves inexpensive fragrances.   My dad, on the other hand, enjoys simple "hygiene" related products, so I make sure to send him some of the products I get as a Blogger.

That is how we tell someone they are special to you....be observant with the little things that makes them happy....

Just in time,  I got the Sweet Honesty Line from Avon.  Avon has always been a "spot on" target when it comes to creating wonderful scents!  My mom loves their body lotion and I'm sure she'll love these as well.

Though Sweet Honesty was made to target young girls, well, my mom is definitely VERY YOUNG AT HEART!  And I want her to think about her "YOUNGEST DAUGHTER" (ahem, me!) whenever she uses these!

AMW Reviews: Happy Skin Don't Get Mad Get Even Hydrating Powder Foundation

I have been meaning to try the Happy Skin Don't Get Mad Get Even Hydrating Powder Foundation for quite some time.  But you know me...I can't seem to start using a new product if I haven't hit the pan, or at least, close to hitting the pan on my current powder foundation.  And mind you, since I have dry skin and most of the powder foundations I use are good, I tend to retouch only once the whole day or at times, no retouch at all!

After using up my favorite Benefit Hello Flawless Custom Powder Cover Up, I'm finally on a full blast using Happy Skin Don't Get Mad Get Even Powder Foundation.  The name Hydrating is definitely the major reason why I wanted to use this so badly!

By the way, the name is too cute!  Don't Get Mad Get Even!

The shade I got is 02 Natural Beige which looks extremely crazy dark for me on pan but trust me when I say, this shade is the perfect shade for me!
