How To Cover Dark Spots and Acne Marks

Yay for another "How To" series, this time for my dear readers who have been emailing me to learn tips on how to cover their pimple spots or acne marks.  

Thankfully, my dear client was so gracious to let me take a photo of her pre-makeover.  She actually has gorgeous glowing skin but because she is going through skin treatment through her dermatologist, she was left with marks (not scars) that is just on the verge of healing.  So, as her make up artist that day, I am tasked to make her look like herself, at the same time, cover the spots that hides her lovely face!

I personally have gone through a stage almost like my client, but most of the spots are on my cheeks so I looked like I had natural "blush" from afar.  It may sound silly to some but I almost never wanted to go to school!  I wished I knew about concealers back then! #hehehe

Sleek True Colour Lipsticks (Pink Freeze and Russian Roulette) Review

So I finally got my hands on the most coveted Sleek True Colour Lipsticks!  And thankfully, the shades I got are both okay for my skintone --- Russian Roulette and Pink Freeze!

Now, don't you think Pink Freeze looks like MAC's Pink Nouveau while Russian Roulette looks like a dead ringer for MAC's Russian Red?  Close dupe!

Weekend Food Trip at: Kuya J Resto

Happy Food Trip AMW friends!  Today, I will be sharing my food review at Kuya J Restaurant.  The newly opened restaurant endorsed by Jericho Rosales.  I mean, who could miss his huge poster?

I went and had dinner with my family a week before 2015 ends.  It was at SM Sta. Mesa branch.  And yes, you read it right, I did not celebrate with the family on New Year's Day because Mr. AMW and I were staying home taking care of Kyle who got sick December 31st! 

He was vomiting for more than 6 times and we got to monitor his fever instead of monitoring New Year's Countdown.  It was one of the most stressful moment in my life and we even rushed him to the Emergency Room yesterday at 12:30am!  Thankfully, he is fine now and we are monitoring his health!  He is slowly getting back in shape and I hope he will be back to his old self ASAP!

Now on to the Kuya J Restaurant Review....

Grilled Scallops

For the price, I immediately ordered right away because I love scallops with cheese!  I am usually a baked scallops girl but this grilled version is equally yummy!  The scallops are tiny though but it was well-compensated with a good amount of melted cheese with a hint of butter.

2016 didn't come out right, Kyle got sick - fever and vomits a couple of times yesterday.  But I won't let that damper my New Year spirit!  I know this is just some of the small challenges I need to face to be a stronger person for the coming year!

Speaking of Year 2016.  I am calling this AMW Year!  Why?  There will be so many things in store for me and "My Baby".  I will be kicking off the year with more workshops (OPEN TO ALL!) and these workshops will be focused on the needs of attendees!  So for the first quarter, I am still fixing everything and hope it can be right on time for my Blog's 8th Year Anniversary!  Wooohoo!

Now, you all know how I've been around the Metro doing workshops here and there!  And one of the brands I worked multiple times with is with Benefit Philippines!  So it was a perfect way to end my 2015 with an AMW Christmas Bash with hashtag #BenefitLovesAMW
