Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Launch

Make up for photography, how lovely when you perfected it yet how difficult to choose the right product/s to use.

With the launch of newest Ultra HD Line from Make Up For Ever, I can't imagine a more perfect way to test these products but a photoshoot with all harsh lighting!

The result?  I look like I am in my best skin condition (promise, make up lang talaga yan) and I don't look like I'm wearing any make up at all!

It was a quick and easy makeover done by Make Up For Ever artists, I get to get close and personal with each product applied/used on me.

Pixi By Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen in Graphic Greige Review

I have reviewed so many Pixi By Petra products in the past and one reason that made me love the brand is that most of their products are paraben-free, mineral oil-free, preservative-free and not tested on animals.  And the best part?  Most of the products I've tried and reviewed from the said brand got thumbs up from me!

There was actually a "delay" in review of this one particular Pixi By Petra product on my part because of the tiny seal of approval from "Top-Tested Beauty Awards" (See it in pink on box?).  Well, if it got that seal, it must be good!  So I actually didn't challenge the said product until I ran out of smudge-proof, waterproof and smear-proof eye pencil.

I got the shade Graphic Greige for review and this is surprisingly a unique yet perfect shade for those who dislike to wear black eyeliner especially during daytime.

I grew up to be a non-Princess type of kid.  You see me chasing after kids playings "Touch Taya" or "throw the ball", "Patintero", "Touch the Wall" and worst (my husband still can't believe I did this), I climbed our house gate and people-watch!  And the gate is around 10 feet high!

Tomboy on the outside, I'm a Disney Princess at heart, I don't get to watch TV as my grandfather is really strict about his "apos" watching television but I get a good serving of Disney Stories with a casette tape and book to read along!  

One Disney Princess character I'm drawn into is Belle Gold also known as "Beauty".  She has the beauty not only on the outside but a golden beauty on the inside.

Weekend Food Trip at: Pho Hoa Lucky Chinatown

We usually spend family time at Lucky Chinatown because aside from it being the nearest mall to us, it is a place where my son can actually have fun!

There's Kidzoona, Kyle's Barber Shop is also there, there's also a Toy Kingdom and an open area where he can walk around as he enjoys the view of colorful lanterns.

That said, we've tried almost ALL the restaurants in the mall and we actually have a favorite!

Pho Hoa is right across Toy Kingdom and we actually saw how crowded the restaurant is every weekend!  We've tried Pho Hoa restaurants in other branches so many times but this particular one is our ultimate favorite.

2 Reasons ---

• The food really tastes better in this branch.
• The servers are very attentive and helpful!  We have a favorite guy server who is super smiling all the time whenever he assists us, will have to get his name and update it here!

And we may order different dishes but we have our staples.

Gelish and Morgan Taylor Beauty and the Beast Collection Launch

 Beauty and the Beast is definitely one of my favorite fairytales, because the story focuses on inner beauty and that's what AskMeWhats has always been about --- Beauty In and Out.

In celebration of the Disney live-action version, gel brand, Gelish and its sister brand Morgan Taylor, release Spring 2017 Offering --- a Beauty and the Beast collection which composed of seven shades which are all inspired by elements found in both the original and new film.  

Because I believe in looking beautiful on the outside will translate to feeling beautiful on the inside, I knew it is high time for me to have another session of "Me-Time" before my 2 workshops commence!  

The launch was held at my favorite S Maison mall at Kallista, selected Bloggers and Media friends were there to try out the new collection.

 

Let's talk about the Morgan Taylor collection first, one thing that makes this collection unique is the shade Enchanted Patina (left most polish on photo below).  Enchanted Patina is a duo chrome shimmer that is somewhere between a coppery gold to a pink shade.  It can be worn as is or on top of the other shades from the collection to create a shimmery antique look!
