Tarte Tarteist Review

How does it feel to hold the most coveted Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow?
All thanks to my good friend Jheng for gifting me this because this palette deserves a shoutout and lots of "whistling" for being wonderful in terms of giving me the sculpt and glow that I want (and need!)

So pretty I can even skip applying face powder!

"A highlight and contour palette with six pigmented powder and cream shades to create perfectly glowing, chiseled looks on every skin tone." 

This product is housed in a velvety black cardboard palette.  I like the feel but I actually felt it gets dirtied up quite easily so I tend to put it back in the box after EVERY use (which is a hassle by the way). 

CLINIQUE x JONATHAN ADLER Collection

If you are a long-time AMW reader, you should know by now that one skincare brand I really love is Clinique!  I've said it before and will be saying it again and again that I may have tried so many skincare brands in the market (for the sake of review) but one brand that really healed my dry skin issues is Clinique!

So when I learned that one of my favorite skincare and makeup brand Clinique collaborated with Jonathan Adler (A potter, designer and author), I knew the brand will be coming up with something colorful, exciting and luxurious.

After seeing the collection in the flesh in one of the Clinique stores recently, I knew I have to share the details with you!

I've been Blogging about Beauty for almost a decade now so I definitely have a couple of "Local Beauty Icons" I look up to!  One of them is none other than Ms. Agoo Bengzon.  

I've seen Agoo in several events I've attended but never gotten the chance to talk to her because she's always surrounded by people.  She is a former beauty editor and is a beauty industry vet.  So whenever I see her, I just appreciate her elegance, her fashion and her gorgeous digits!  (Seriously, she's got one of the best looking hands!)  

So it wasn't a surprise for me when a good friend, owner of Girlstuff and Solique Gel Polish Ms. Janina Gutierrez-Tan told me about the Solique x Agoo collaboration.  

It took a while, I was a bit impatient (ako pa talaga!)  but it was because I was too excited to know what the Beauty Guru has in store for us and guess what?  The wait is definitely WORTH it!

My CLIO Lips

When CLIO arrived our shores, I knew this is a brand that I would spend a portion of my "makeup money"!  And after trying out their 3 lip products under the Virgin Kiss Line, I knew I had to go back to Club Clio and check out for more shades!

What's good about this line is that you get to play mix and match and you can easily create gradient lips with the help of Silkuid Lip!

Weekend Food Trip at: Sear Steak Scullery

Ever since my son entered Pre-K at Banawe, QC, I probably made the "rounds" to almost ALL restaurants located in that location!  One of the most recent discovery is at Sear Steak Scullery. 

Sear Steak Scullery is one of the very few steak restaurants located at the said area so I am a bit excited in trying out the menu from there.  It's located at 238 Building which you will find other restaurants like King Chef, Tokyo Bubble Tea etc... around.

Now once you book a table, you will get a basket of their homemade pandesal which made my heart flutter!  It's the best tasting pandesal I've tried in my entire life and we actually tried purchasing these but these aren't on sale!

As much as the excitement were there, it died down a bit when we tried their fried dishes!

 Onion Rings

Deep fried breaded onions with cajun spice and tartar sauce.

I find that they added a bit too much of the cajun spice which I find a bit overwhelming for yummy onions.
