SilkyGirl Quick Fix Care Concealer Review

Concealing correctly - a key to a perfect-looking skin without piling too much!  

For someone who isn't getting any younger, you'll see that my choice of makeup gets lesser and lesser by the day!  

I've done so many Get Ready with Me on AMW IG TV and you'll see that I almost can't live without concealers nowadays!  I can say bye bye to foundation but NOT concealers.

I've tried so many concealers and I don't discriminate based from their price points!  I am always on a lookout for good ones no matter what the price tag is!

I recently tried SilkyGirl Quick Fix Care Concealer and this is included in my inexpensive yet effective concealer list.

 

The concealer is straightforward, it says "Care Concealer" because of the added benefits in the ingredients.  Let me be judgmental for a moment and talk about the packaging!  In ALL cream or liquid concealers, I like them in doe-foot applicator-type of packaging - I've said that so many times and Stila Lipgloss didn't do well on me because for the same fact that the packging is similar to this one from SilkyGirl.

I dislike the "click click" pen type packaging and I dislike the fact that the brush is left with "old concealer" after every use.  I had to wipe them off with a makeup remover wipes every single time I use the product which I feel isn't necessary for other concealer brands! 

 For a new product, you need to click approximately 40-50 times before you start to see the product come out.  Once it comes out, the next clicks would be easier.

Honestbee Chinese New Year for AMW Family!

In a super traditional Chinese household like ours, we celebrate Chinese New Year seriously.  We take "food abundance" seriously.

Every year, I slave the kitchen by cooking various dishes - Noodles of course must be included for Long Life, sticky Tikoy is also a must or in our case, we prefer Oyster Cake which is sticky as well!  Various forms of meat from Fish, Beef, Pork and Chicken must also be on the table to represent a fruitful and healthy year for the family!

As years go by and I'm obviously not getting younger but gets busier, Mr. AMW advised me to go for take away!  We would usually be stuck in traffic or have a hard time looking for parking space especially since most of our favorite Chinese restaurants are located in crowded places! 

Can you just imagine how crowded it is in Chinese restaurants and Chinese supplies stores on CNY eve?

Thankfully, this momma has a solution!  As I was browsing through my favorite online shopping app called HONESTBEE, I recently saw a category I really like --- "We Will We Will WOK YOU!"

Click on it and you'll find list of Chinese restaurants you may order from (location close to the address you input for delivery).  I was so excited I gave it a test run!  

TIP:  Best of all, you can advance order by choosing "Order for Later" option!  

AMW Joins Boxing Hybrid Evolution Fitness Club

FINALLY!

That's the word I blurted out after I had my FIRST sweat after gazillion years.

I finally found a workout place I can hang out while I wait for my son in school.  

I've been on a search since the start of Kyle's school year.  His schedule is 8:00am to 12:00nn so I have 4 hours to spare.  I have been spending most of my mornings inside coffee shops working and that said, it is NOT helping my waistline with all the lattes I down plus desserts on days I crave for sweets.

Thankfully, my gradeschool/highschool friend had a baby shower for her 2nd baby and I met her sister and brother-in-law.  I don't know how it happened but "Visit our gym at Banawe." was the sentence I heard and the rest was history!

I used to be a gym buff, I spent years at this particular gym in Espana with my sister during my younger years, we did weight-lifting, we did aerobics and a whole lot of dancing!  Those were the days I felt like my body was at its' best state.  Then motherhood happened plus all the jobs I've been doing, taking care of my body was set aside and I wanted to do something about it especially when I find myself catching my breathe whenever I take just a few flights of stairs.  Worst, I had a hard time lifting a 28-inch cooking pan using my left hand --- my body was calling for help!

I was a bit anxious on a first day, I mean, Hybrid Evolution Fitness Club is a place for Boxing, MuayThai, Kickboxing, Jujitsu etc.... what do you expect but a lot of male hormones right?  I was WRONG - I was greeted with a roomful of "momshies" and friendly faces!  I mean there are a lot of males but I don't feel intimidated AT ALL!

 Located at 3rd Floor Banawe Terraces, Banawe Corner Sta. Catalina QC (in front of Sogo), the place was clean and HUGE!  With high ceiling and wide windows, ample light goes in making it a comfortable place to workout.

P.S. They also have a branch at Katipunan 3rd floor Linear building 142 Katipunan Ave. St. Ignatius, Quezon City .

Let me tour you around the place and mind you, by the time you are reading this, I've finished 3 workouts for the week and I plan to take a look at their "studio" (located at the next floor) where Aerobics such as Zumba happens.

If you plan to just firm up and tone up and lift weights, they have an area for that!
