House of Lasagna Review

You know how Quarantine makes EVERYONE hungry?  And when you scroll through social media, you see a lot of people posting about food - whether they cooked it, baked it or bought it.

I remembered craving LASAGNA so badly I wanted to make one but I was out of ingredients --- literally no cheese inside the fridge and it was one of the most frustrating feelings ever!

Thankfully, with restaurants finally jumping back to the routine and opening up deliveries for people like ME who haven't gone out to see the sunlight since March 14, I knew that is one way for me to satisfy my cravings --- and support businesses at the same time!  I mean all sorts of businesses were hit so hard due to COVID-19!  

One Lasagna that I seriously craved for is the one from House of Lasagna - just typing the restaurant name brought me back to so much memories!  They have been around for so long and you know if you take a bite on their lasagna, it is WORTH EVERY SINGLE CALORIE!

As much as I love to order online, I find it a bit tedious for me to purchase and book a delivery service on my own - don't get me wrong, it isn't a hard task but for someone who's always on-the-go (yes, even at home), I find it super hard to book delivery services in my area!  So this excites me to share that House of Lasagna delivers with NO minimum purchase, FREE delivery just because they use in-house delivery service!  They cover areas from Quezon City (select areas), San Juan, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Makati, Taguig, Manila, Marikina.  If your location is not included, they will certainly accept courier pick ups and they are open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Today was a great day, I usually spend my time in the kitchen chopping ingredients as early as 5:00pm and prepare to cook around 6:00pm.  Because I got my House of Lasagna Beef Lasagna and Salted Egg Chicken Wings at tow, I was able to sit back and relax and finish Season 5 of She-Ra on Netflix with Kyle!  It was such a chill evening!

Beef Lasagna

One of the most delicious beef lasagna I had as of date.  It comes with a perfect amount of beef, Bechamel Sauce, Cheese and a whole lot of greatness!  Here's a serious reason why this is not any regular Lasagna - my mom-in-law who dislikes Lasagna, baked mac or anything that has heavy cheese feel on it actually called me to say --- she loves this!  She even asks for a second serving which is super unusual (I would call it a miracle!)  

Worth the calories, worth the price - hindi siya nakakaumay promise!

Dr Teal's New Products Available In The Philippines!

Pre-lockdown, my "me time" shower time runs 10 minutes max!  Why?  My son is waiting for me just outside knocking, screaming his heart out calling me because he "misses me".  

Seriously, when do moms have free time? hahaha

So now that it's lockdown and Mr. AMW is usually home, he usually got my back by playing with my son while I take my longer shower!  That said, I brought out all my bath essentials which most of them are expired!  *sniffs*

Thankfully, I was sent new Dr. Teal's body care items and I am stoked with the Pure Epsom Salt Soaking Solution, Body Wash and Moisturizing Bath and Body Oil!  I haven't tried their deodorant to be honest because I have been staying home so I haven't been using any deodorant as of writing.

I will be sharing my experience after using some of their products.

Dr. Teal's Pure Epsom Salt Soaking Solution with Lavender

This can be used for the whole body or just tired feet!  I like to soak my feet with warm water and a cup of Dr. Teal's Pure Epsom Salt, leave it for 15-20 minutes and I felt recharged!  I love foot massages and usually go on a date with my parents on Foot Massage salon in QC, because of the lockdown, I had to continue my relaxation sessions at home!  Yes, it is possible!

 

I can't wait to use this for bath!

Dr. Teal's Body Wash with Pure Epson Salt

This has a very subtle lavender scent perfect for my shower time before I go to sleep!  I like to use a nice loofah with it and scrub my worries away!  Since I use scrub, I always like to hydrate or moisturize IMMEDIATELY after bath!  (Meaning, while in the bathroom!)  That's were the next product comes in.

Dr. Teal's Moisturizing Bath and Body Oil

Oil on summer? Well, it is nighttime and I usually sleep with airconditioner on so this is a perfect moisturizer after night shower!  I love how it glides onto my skin in a very OILY texture but it gets absorbed immediately leaving my skin soft and grease-free!  The scent is light and relaxing and it goes away approximately 10-15 minutes!   The oil does not get into clothing and I like the feel of my skin more than ever!  It is soft...like a baby!  (I am Serious!)  I guess for someone with dry skin, bath oils make a huge difference as compared to regular lotions or moisturizers.  The only downside is how the bottle gets greasy and how messy this could get during application, husband finds patches of oil on the floor which could cause accidents so better be careful and mop the oil away!

Again, I have yet to try the deodorant but Dr. Teal's is finally widely available in the Philippines and ONLINE!

So funny when Mother's Day weekend came, I already told my husband this ---"Hindi ako luluto ha? Magpapa-deliver ako!"  (I won't cook okay?  I will go for online food delivery service!"

Makeup for Video Conference #AMWIGtv

As much as I would like to be the first one to say: "Just be who you are!"  "You don't need to put on makeup when you have a video call or conference calls with colleagues or boss, they would understand you!"

Well, they would, but let's not forget to still put our best face forward whenever we make video calls!  Same as to what I always believe in, making sure you look good before you face a person means they get the respect they deserve.  Correct me if I'm wrong, some of you may disagree (feel free to comment below), but I believe looking good is not only done to impress other people, but it also made me feel more powerful and confident whenever I face clients or bosses online!

This makeup look I've created is simple and easy to do, I can easily create this look in 10 minutes less and you may opt to create a different version depending on what you're comfortable in.  As for me, the basic requirements are -- Concealer and a bit of color on eyes, cheeks and lips so I feel more alive and can actually transmit energy to the person I am talking to! 

It doesn't hurt to grab a nice top, okay to wear pajamas below but please remember DO NOT STAND UP! :P

Revlon Colorstay Full Cover Foundation review

I got a box-full of Revlon new makeup items late last year and I've played around with 90% of them and used them a lot on my videos!  This is one product that I left behind because I felt this won't work for my skin.  Well, at the back of my head, I would use this as a concealer or maybe give it away?

During lockdown, I have ENOUGH time to finally play with make up and open for mistakes and makeup mishaps!  I tested this out on a super HOT day with a full packed schedule ahead.

• No heavy feel and my skin looks fresh and demi-matte!  
• My skin does not oil up the whole day!  
• The makeup does not budge or move, if you have oily skin, it may move a bit but not as much compared to other liquid foundations.
• Works as concealer too! 

Cons

• Scent.  There is a weird tube-like scent.
• Shades - shades are tricky because they tend to give out a bit of a white cast or "change in color" and I am NOT acidic.  

Overall
A great Full Coverage foundation that works for our weather.  I love how lightweight and non-sticky this product is and how my skin looks even and fresh the whole day even without retouch and setting product.
