I have been cooking nonstop ever since Quarantine.  I have been cooking most of my married life but the number of times I cook multiplied by 2-3 as I also need to buy more meat and vegetables.

So funny when Mother's Day weekend came, I already told my husband this ---"Hindi ako luluto ha? Magpapa-deliver ako!"  (I won't cook okay?  I will go for online food delivery service!"

I love to cook, don't get me wrong!  I love it so much I managed to survive more than 2 months of not ordering food online!  But I find myself eating less whenever I cook, call it psychological but I tend to eat less when it was me who does the cooking.

The Tooth Clinic Retiro Review

My teeth color has always been on the yellowish side for so many reasons ---genetics + food + my love for Coffee and tea.

I have tried teeth whitening service once and find the effect to be quite short for the effort I've been through.  I also tried purchasing teeth whitening products which also gave me short-term effect.

Since I am on the road to HOLISTIC wellness, that explains why I go to Centro Holistico for my well being + workout + monthly facials and massage.  I knew I had to do something about my teeth so it was perfect timing when I was invited by The Tooth Clinic Retiro to visit their clinic.  The clinic is close to my son's school and gym - perfect right?

The only thing that would complete the perfection is the service of the staff and of course --- the service had to work (or be effective).

Since I recently had my teeth cleaning in a separate clinic, I've decided to give Teeth Whitening a go! 

After looking at this photo, you'll probably say "Yeah, it works" and leave this blog post.  I hope not!  Hear me out on my experience after my first visit.

I had an early schedule 10:00 at The Tooth Clinic and I met Doc Cary, prior to going to the clinic, I've done my own research and read a lot of reviews both from Facebook and Youtube Vlogs.  I've read so many raves about this kind doctor and I was able to witness it myself. 

Why I Love Facial Care Centre's LaserLight Treatments

Remember when I shared to you AMW Friends my first Laserlight Underarms experience with Facial Care Centre? 

Well, I am hairfree on my underarms on my 7th treatment and I asked the therapist (randomly) if I can have my upperlip "Laserlight" too!  She said yes and guess what?  I booked myself a session immediately and here's what I have to say!

Firstly, you have to book yourself an appointment to have yourself checked if the treatment is right for you.  I showed my concern to the Professional before you dive into a treatment.  

I was told the LaserLight Upper Lip treatment would take longer than LaserLight Underarms (the latter would take approximately 6-8 treatments depending on your hair).  I am happy I was given a bit of expectation from the start so I signed up for it.

Although I have very good experience with LaserLight Underarms, I am still scared when any device is put on my face!  I was assured by the staff that it is very safe and comfortable and I can immediately go out with no down time.

True enough, if you check out my video, I did not flinch or move at all!  The staffs are super friendly and kept on checking with me if I am doing okay.  Best of all?  I don't feel any pain at all!  After the treatment, I do not see any skin redness, inflammation or allergic reactions!  The first treatment was great I booked my 2nd session a month after right away!

TIP:Do not wash your face or wear makeup within 24 hours after treatment.  The friction may cause allergic reaction on the sensitive area.

So now, as of writing, I've done 2 sessions and can't wait to go for my 3rd.  And here's the best news of all --- I haven't seen a single "thick" upper lip hair for 2 months now!  I say THICK as there could still be light strands of upper lip hair that I can't seem to see, but overall, I feel more confident and happy I don't need to have to worry about my "woman beard!"

Facial Care Centre Oxygen Cell Renewal Therapy Review

I was asked so many times what is my skincare regimen.
Truth be told, I firstly have to thank my Mom and dad for the good skin genes.  But I have to thank a lot of my skincare products for keeping my skin supple and glowing - because that doesn't happen on its' own.

I have steered clear on facial treatments for many years - a lot of you long-time reader would know that I seldom talk about facial services because of my sensitive skin.  Since I started a relationship with Facial Care Centre via their Honey Almond Facial - I have always been loyal to it and keeping it safe by doing that same treatment whenever I get to visit the center. 

Then I was asked by Facial Care Centre consultant if I wanted to try Oxygen Cell Renewal Therapy.  I was really hesitant to try any new services as I'm scare of allergic reactions - like what my husband would always say - why ruin what's already good? 

But let's face it, I'm not getting any younger and extra help and boost of "treatment" would be well appreciated!  So last week, I mustered my courage and finally went for it!

Firstly, what is Oxygen Cell Renewal Therapy?  --- It is the First Non-invasive regenerative therapy.

Food delivery services are so important to me because it comes with a "story".

Back when my mom suffered depression (story HERE), I had a full time job back then and my mom can't seem to do everything (even the thing she loved most --- cooking!)

So I ended up ordering from 1 restaurant to another, I tried searching for food delivery services option but there wasn't a lot of those back then!  And what's worst, my mom and dad got bored with restaurant food and they ended up not wanting to eat anymore!

Facial Care Centre LaserLight Experience

I don't really have issues with body hair as I am lucky to be born with not a lot of those.  BUT, I do have issues with chicken skin on my underarms from constant shaving and random plucking.

Review the offers and the GoodWork profiles (even ratings),  in my case, the app is still new so I don't see much review yet but I gave it a try anyways (by the way, I am NOT paid in any way to write this post!)

What's One Beauty Service You"ve Been Doing Through The Years?

My answer is quick and very simple --- Benefit Brow Wax Service!

Looking back, I can't believe how dependent I am with this service I actually tried almost ALL branches!  I know most bloggers have their favorite artists but for me, I've tried them all and they are all good in their own unique ways!  All I can say is that, I feel more confident and my brows are always on fleek when I step out of the Brow Bar!

I sport different types of makeup looks on a daily basis, different hairstyles and different OOTDs, but one thing remains, my love for well-defined, clean and well-groomed brows!

More than 50% of the time, I'm on my phone, I check emails, post on Social Media, chat with family and friends for updates and play games during downtime. 

I am very simple with my phone cases.  It's usually transparent in color and I was just looking for a new one as it was starting to look "yellow" and old. 

Then I saw an online shop on Instagram called "InCasesLikeThis" (www.instagram.com/incaseslikethiss) and found some of the cases that would not only protect my phone but give me good reminder whenever I pick it up.

AMW Family's Amari Moments

The last time we took a professional Family Portrait was December 25, 2013 (Kyle was less than a year old back then!)  

I clearly remembered that day because it was a random thought to have a professional photo taken for his first birthday invites.  For the next few years, we took amateur photos with the help of family members and friends!  But to be honest, I wished we have at least one family portrait a year!  Because this kid is growing so fast I can't keep track!  

When photographer friend Myra Ho messaged me inviting my family to have our portraits taken by her at Amari Moments Studio in Tomas Morato, who can say no to that?  I've met Myra on several occasion during The Body Shop events and she always takes great photos!  

And this is just ONE out of the many great shots she produced!

Before I left for Bangkok, I had the talk to an online shop DluxxevanityPH and the owners Dane and Dick were kind enough to send me travel pouches and other items they sell online.  They wanted me to try the items without any expectations and you know me...if I'm happy with the products and services I get, I really take time to feature them here because good sellers deserve the mention (and I'll definitely feature more shops in the future if I get good experiences!)

This Acrylic organizer is LOVE, for the price, I get to store a LOT of makeup items I put on rotation for review.  This is right in front of me where I do most of my #AMWIGstories and I love it that I can see the items clearly!

And can I say aside from the great price, each layer comes with a non-slip matte!  They certainly read my mind!  If you see my super old posts on makeup organization, I purchase non-slip mattes from Japan Home Center to maintain cleanliness as the matte will catch excess makeup powder or dust.

The 3 layered drawer is sized perfectly.  I can fit so many eye pencils, mascaras and other brow products on the first layer.  

My Facial Care Centre Honey Almond Facial Experience

If you check out my previous Blog Posts, there are only a "few" facial services that I've tried.  I try to keep it as minimum as possible because I have sensitive skin and you guys know how difficult it is for my skin to "accept" new products.  

But, after a stressful month (May, please be extra good to me!), I realized that my skin was put into test!  Uneven spots are showing like redness on key areas of my face, small pimples are starting to show up from stress and bangs!  And most of all, can you see that uneven spots on my cheek even with makeup on?

I knew in my heart I'm not getting any younger, I need extra help and relaxation as well (a.k.a. Me Time!)  So I did some research on Facial Care Centre's services and decided to have them take care of my skin!

I've read and heard a couple of good reviews from fellow Beauty Blogging Friends --- Angela of LushAngel.com raved about their services so I'm more secured to visit their BGC Branch last week.

I have to admit, I was extremely nervous, especially on one-on-one consultations!  I always felt like it wasn't consultation but more of sales-talk!  But with Facial Care Centre, it is indeed a personal consultation.

The Doctor takes time to listen to your skin issues and when I told her about my fear on peels, she promised me that we will start with something very gentle and safe.  Indeed, they will develop personalized skin care program based on individual's skin concerns --- Thank you for that!

The Smile Bar Triple Whitening Review

When people asks me which part of my body I find beautiful, I can't seem to pinpoint a physical aspect of mine but I always end up with one answer: "My Smile."  I know I don't have the best smile in the world, I don't have good-looking teeth --- they're yellow and uneven-toned (Coffee drinker here!)  One thing for sure, I am quite confident that I can give out the most genuine smile because that's how I feel deep inside --- pure happiness and appreciation to the person I'm smiling at.

But obviously, I'm only human, deep inside, I wished my teeth are whiter, I wished I don't need to use a certain shade of lipstick to make them appear brighter and pry myself away from lipsticks that make them yellowish.  That said, when The Smile Bar launched its' first-ever store in the Philippines last August 8th, I  knew I had to visit when I get the chance --- even with the crazy traffic and rain.

 The Smile Bar started in Hong Kong and Bangkok in 2015 and 2016 respectively.  Thankfully, they made their way to our country offering safe and effective teeth whitening services to us Filipinos.  How effective it is?  I wasn't sure about the service but after hearing my good friend Angela's testimonials during our Salon date, Alyssa and I were sold!  We chose a common free day to visit The Smile Bar just because we wanted to see the results ourselves and the same time, enjoy the bonding session!  And The Smile Bar did NOT disappoint.

This service as reported on my Social Media Accounts got the most queries!  I was actually just leaving the location when I got several private messages on this particular service so I've decided to hurry up and write this review!

Let me walk you through my personal experience on my journey to a whiter teeth.

Firstly, walk-in customers are welcomed but it is better if you set a schedule.  Alyssa and I were set at 2:30pm and we were greeted by the friendly staffs of The Smile Bar.  (Thanks girls!)

That's why when it comes to haircut, I don't second guess!  I may go on different salons for a "trim" but when I wanted a better hairstyle (a.k.a. good layering in my dictionary)  I'll go for Tony & Jackey anytime of the day.  

Long time readers would know I always go to my favorite hairstylist Misty from Tony and Jackey SM San Lazaro branch!  But who would've thought my favorite salon has something more to offer especially for the coming years?

And I have to try their service from the branch recently opened at SM Megamall.

Mucota Treatment is a series of hair treatment that will help liven up your dry and dull hair at the same time, soften the hair strands and make them smoother and shinier for a month or so.  (depending on how you take care of it post treatment)

Hairshaft Balayage and Brazilian Blowout Review

If you follow me on Instagram (@AskMeWhats), you've probably seen this photo of me smiling THIS BIG while caressing my tresses!  hahaha Silly me, but that's how I feel whenever I touch my hair --- giddy AND silly!  I am so in love with my refreshed Balayage Ash Tone Brown Color which is a Signature Tone that I've done for the second time around at Hairshaft Podium under the magical hands of Fred Penales.

If you follow my "hair color" journey, you know that I've done a lot of hair coloring for the past years!  I've done "boxed treatment" (Hello Revlon and L'Oreal!), I've done random salon visits and recently, it was with HairShaft Salon that I got the MOST COMPLIMENTS!

Whenever I post photos of me reviewing a product or me endorsing ANOTHER product, readers tend to comment about my hair and ask what the color it is!  So today, is the day, I'm formally spilling the beans!  (May formal pa talaga!)  

I have to thank my dear friend Angela for introducing me to HairShaft Salon!  Given my busy schedule, I wouldn't go ALL the way to Podium to have my hair done if not because of the constant "Hair Date" invite from Lush Angel I had to give in!  (hehehe, napilitan pa talaga ako no?)  But seriously, I have to thank her for introducing me to the master of hair color Fred because I really love the result!  It was actually a planned hair-date with both Angela and Alyssa but we weren't able to take photos together!

Now let's talk about Hairshaft Salon, they have a branch at Podium, Fort and recently, I spotted a soon-to-be-opend HairShaft Salon on my turf!  Robinsons Place Ermita!  I haven't visited the other branches because I want to make sure Mr. Fred is there whenever I visit the Podium Branch.  Thankfully, he was there giving all smiles to ALL the customers no matter how jampacked the salon was when I visited last week!
