Your Thoughts on Marvel x Maybelline?

 

I don't know about you but Maybelline, particularly the SuperStay Matte Ink does not need to do anything for marketing because the products speak for themselves.  

They aren't the best for people with dry lips like I do but they are the best for these times (mask-wearing season) because these are long-wearing, long lasting lipsticks that I haven't even found a competitor close to these!  (Let me know if you've found one!)

I haven't been shopping on skincare and makeup recently especially during the lockdown.  I have been buying a lot of food items. vitamins and basic needs online.  So I haven't visited the site in a while but once I was invited to take a look, I was surprised because they are definitely an all around E-commerce site now.  Not just focused on beauty and skincare, more of HOLISTIC beauty.

East vs. West Makeup Looks

 

Hi AMW Friends!
I have been meaning to do this video ever since I started doing short IG TVs.  The laziness to edit and busy schedule got me so I only had a couple of months after to finally made this half face versus look into reality and I am so happy I did it because I've always wanted to know which particular look would suit best my face shape and features.

What do you think?  Can you spot which side is the Eastern side and which side is West?

As written on my IG post, I am not discriminating a particular look, I just based my makeup styles from books I read, videos I've watched and several photos I have seen online.  The western look has always been my style even when I was doing makeup professionally.  This is the type of makeup that would look great on photos, videos and a bit darker in person but with the right technique, you would still look like yourself in a more polished way.

Eastern side, I am basing on our Korean, Japanese and Thai counterparts.  I've followed a couple of makeup artists from those countries and noticed a common denominator and put it on my other face!  The effect?  Very natural, glowing and dewy skin!

Defined and arch brows.  Creating bigger eyes with cut-crease method, winged liner, bronzer, contouring and highlighting and defined lips!  

L'Oreal Color Riche Mattes in #BloomingKiss Review

 

Ever since the rebirth of matte lipsticks, we "almost" never looked book.

How did I even dare say that?  Well, how many years have I been swatching and trying out on various matte lipsticks?  SO MANY TIMES!  If you don't believe me, click HERE.

I thought the fad would die down, I guess I was super wrong.  I guess I am the only one who suffers from extreme dry lip textures that I always lean to semi-matte lipsticks or glossy types!  

But thankfully, the lipstick goddesses are nice to me, brands are starting to care for users with extreme dry lip condition so they are creating matte lipsticks that can be applied smoothly on dry, dehydrated lips and the best part?  They got all the benefits of what matte lipsticks can offer - pigmentation, long-wearability and a whole gorgeous shades for me to play around!

L'Oreal Color Riche Mattes are no exception.  This brand, together with sister brand Maybelline has always been creating inexpensive matte lipsticks that can be worn without lip discrimination!  

They revamped and repackaged their line and created the Blooming Kiss collection.  I am unsure if they added new, unique shades for this particular line but most shades I've seen in the past.

And here are the photos of me wearing all 6 shades without lip balm or lip conditioner underneath.  Best of all, I can wear them day in and out without feathering or bleeding.  I am impressed!

BCL Philippines - MomoPuri and Saborino Review

 

2 skincare brands were launch a couple of weeks ago and I attended their FB Live launch session.  Seeing all the buzz from fellow Beauty Bloggers/Vloggers and with BCL Japan answering all our queries, I knew these are skincare products worth checking out.

WORTH CHECKING OUT because I immediately used these after the launch (which I usually don't because I really line up my skincare reviews.)  For some reason, these took my interest maybe because of the cute packaging, the scent, or the fact that these are no-drama type of skincare....these are created for girls who don't have the luxury of time which points to --- ME!

Let's start with Momopuri, Momopuri skincare line with Peach Ceramides and Lactobacillus, these products are inspired by peaches as you can see in their packaging and if you can take a sniff on their scent!  I am not a fan of peach scented anything but I am somewhat addicted to these!  

All the products are made to help women achieve healthy, plump and bouncy skin!
