Weekend Food Trip: Crepe Central and Army Navy Drinks

Who loves Army Navy Burgers?
I DO!

I'm not a fan of burgers in general but I can chow down a whole Army Navy burger in 5 minutes!  And just when I was going through my online food ordering app, I noticed something different with the usual "Libertea" bottles.  They offer something that is not the color of Iced Tea!

The NEW Agua Frescas by ArmyNavy!

Fresh fruity drinks like Orange Tajin, Cucumber, Luychee, Strawberry and Mixed Berries. PLUS, they also have the new version of my favorite halo-halo called Taro Halo!

MomStyle: Black or White?

I can’t count the number of black, and white outfit I have inside my dresser!  I love clothes by the way!  As a Beauty Blogger, you would think I only collect skincare products and makeup products.  Well, this woman has a lot of likes *ahem*  I honestly love clothes and I have good imagination because I have been shopping online for clothes for YEARS!  And can you believe when I say it’s 0.1% returns?

I almost never get to return the clothes I bought because they, most of the time, fits, and works for me!  I have this mala-computer brain and I can immediately imagine the clothes worn by me!  Do you have that same talent?

Yes, I call that talent!  Thank you Lord!  :P

These 2 dresses are old dresses I bought via Zalora #NOTsponsored .  I’ve worn both of these on special occasions, the black one during one of my important makeup workshop in a hotel while the white one was during a Cathy Doll anniversary held in Bangkok Thailand.  That dress met Mario Maurer by the way!  *winks*

This dress is surprisingly very comfortable to wear!  I think that year, the irregular-shaped and overlapping skirt is a thing!  I saw Jennifer Lopez wore a similar dress and I am NOT saying she got inspired by me!  LOL  But it is so good to think so! Hahaha Bear with me!

This lacey black LBD dress is such a comfortable dress to wear!  It is simple yet classy.  I like the A-line skirt giving me the waist I never had!  :P

By the way, this transition - nobody asked for!  But I enjoyed doing this,  it is not professional yet I poured my heart into this!  Enjoy!

Time to vote!  Are you team Black or White?

How to Use Gua Sha For Beginners

Good morning!

I woke up with refreshed skin for a couple of weeks now because I added a skincare routine I didn’t realize would make a difference on both my skin and mental health!  :P

I received this mini Rose Quartz Gua Sha from a PR KIT (sorry I can’t remember from who) but thanks!  It is such a nice yet simple skincare tool and I have been doing this 2-3 x a week.

How to Use Gua Sha For Beginners

Gua Sha is a practice of using a tool to apply pressure and scrape the skin to relieve tension.

How to Use Gua Sha For Beginners

According to research (source: Here), here are just some of the many benefits of including Gua Sha in your routine:
  • Stimulates circulation
  • Helps produce collagen
  • Softens fine lines and wrinkles
  • Decreases puffiness
  • Decreases inflammation
  • Diminishes dark circles
  • Temporarily tightens skin
  • Brightens complexion
  • Scuplts facial muscles
  • Releases tightness
I noticed so many times when I started my own Gua Sha Journey.  I tend to NOT stick on a regimen if I find something tedious and I don’t see much result.  With Gua Sha, I don’t mind doing this twice or thrice weekly because of the instant relaxation I felt during the Gua Sha massage.  I can feel the release of my tension almost immediately.  I also see instant brightening!  Check out this photo after approximately 5 minutes of Gua Sha.

Mom Style on Weekends

I am most excited when I get to visit my parents on the weekend.  My life was a blur from Mondays to Fridays so having this break is a nice way to fix my focus and fill up my happiness jar.

It used to be me, my husband and Kyle who visits my parents but because of the pandemic, we tried to keep Kyle not away from exposure since a lot of the members in my parents’ household goes out for work.

That said, I made sure to mask up, the whole time inside the house to protect me and my family!

Wearing masks does not stop me from fixing my brows and apply my favorite lipbalm for this very natural look.  How do you like this?

So anyways, the pandemic will not stop me from visiting my loved ones!  I just pray this will soon be over so we can bond more outside!

Nail Art Tutorial: Marble Nails

I have been checking out talented nail artists in Japan, Taiwan and Korea on my Instagram account and I got inspired to do Marble nails using gel nail polishes!

Given the chance, I’d like to do it on regular polishes more since my nails are weak and I prefer to change my polish at least once a week.  But because Marble nails are quite tricky to do cosidering you need a dry base - plus busy hands on mom here!  UV Gel Polish is the way to go for no.

If you do Marble nails, do not expect each nail to look uniform, some “marbling” will come off obvious while some are subtle making it a nice contrast.  I also added glitters because nail art designs look 10x better with glitters - that’s my humble opinion by the way!

How to do Marble Nails using UV Gel Polish —-
  1. Clean your nails.
  2. Apply a base coat (cure for 30 seconds)
  3. Apply a base color (any color you choose as base, could be light or dark).  Cure for 60 seconds.
  4. Apply a 2nd base color (do not cure), top with white gel polish and gently swirl both colors together using a dotting tool, a toothpick or any sharp tipped opject.
  5. Once you are happy with the result of the “marbling”, cure for 60 seconds.
  6. Add random glitters if you want.
  7. Use UV Gel Top coat and cure for 60 seconds.\
To make it more clear, I’ve done a quick video below.  Happy watching!
