BLK Universal All-Day Lip in Toffee

BLK Universal All-Day Lip in Toffee is my ultimate choice of lip color from early 2018 until today!  Whenever I wear a different shade, #yayaTab would always say: "Ma'am, di ko type yan, mas bagay sayo ang brown!" #Harsh :P

But for some reason, I feel more confident and more put together whenever I wear any lipstick with brown tone to it!  It just works maybe with my current hair color, skin complexion and choice of fashion?

BLK Universal Brow Stick Review

When I unboxed some of the BLK Cosmetics UNIVERSAL Collection on AMW IG TV, a lot of you requested for in-depth review on this Brow product.  

I don't blame you, it is unique in some sorts of way!  The uniqueness starts with the packaging.

Packaging?  YES!  It is a pencil, I know, pencil type packaging that you can see in most makeup brands!  But guys, this is not a liner/powder combo, this is a liner/mascara combo in a slim pencil!  That's what makes this product unique in my humble opinion.

I love how BLK Cosmetics focused on Filipinas - most Filipinas use either a Natural Brown liner if they have colored hair (brown) and a Taupe liner (for naturally black or dark brown hair).  They focused on what the majority needs and they nailed it with the Natural brown shade that works so well on me - no red tones, just true-to-life Natural Brown.

BLK Soft Matte Mousse Hibiscus Review

Love at first swipe.
Is what I can say with BLK Cosmetics' Soft Matte Mousse in shade Hibiscus.

With a total of 4 shades launched as part of the K-Beauty Collection, I find myself picking Hibiscus during the launch and applied it on my lips immediately.  I wanted to try out other shades but if you ask me the best shade for most Filipinas?  This is the name to remember!

The only shade in the collection with brown hue, this got me at "warmth" because I can wear this with minimal makeup on without looking sickly.

K-Drama Look with BLK K-Beauty Collection

Korean makeup, I know all the drills, I know what to do as I've studied them long enough whenever I watch K-Drama.  But one thing that probably stop me is the fact that I have a whole lot of Western Makeup!  Yes, I do have a couple of pinks but some look either too bright or too "for Photography purpose" only.

When BLK Cosmetics launched their K-Beauty Collection, I got excited to create my own version of Anne Curtis look because I am in love with her photos for this particular collection! 

Finally, a look I can easily do in less than 5 minutes and a look I can totally wear!

It started with a simple pink eyeshadow using BLK Intense Color Liquid Eyeshadow in shade Daisy (php299.00).  I find this to be scary pink to even try to put on my lids but after putting a dot and blending it with the use of my pinkie finger, I knew this is a keeper!

Check out the soft wash of Pink color.  A dot is enough and I like to use my smallest finger so I can control application pretty well!  Best of all, this liquid eyeshadow lasts the whole day without creasing!  Be mindful though that if you added your usual liquid liner, the effect won't be as soft and it will look Western makeup look!

BLK Cosmetics K-Beauty Launch

I have seen Anne Curtis used her newest line of K-Beauty makeup from BLK Cosmetics a couple of times during her Instagram Stories or Instagram Live.  I got intrigued with the products as the shades are gorgeous, wearable by every single Filipina!  That's why I make it a point to attend her Grand Launch last Tuesday April 2, 2019 at Happy Garden Cafe.

According to Anne: "A lot of this collection is inspired by the feels of K-Drama.  Aside from that, the collection is also inspired by the season of Spring, though it's summer all-around in the Philippines, we wanted shades that would look super fresh and romantic.  The shades are based from flowers and nature."

As I swatched all the products, I knew this will be a huge hit as I am inspired to create a K-Beauty look myself!  Are you ready to check out the products included in this collection?  (P.S. 90% of the stocks were sold out when it was first released at Lazada!)

BLK Cosmetics Volume + lash Extension Mascara Review

I am off to a better start with my lashes.  I almost stopped using them year 2018 and this 2019, I plan to get back to my mascara game so lucky you!  I get to review them too! :)

Anne Curtis raved about her BLK Volume + Lash Extension mascara in one of her IG stories, true enough I saw her apply and her lashes went from WOW to EXTRA WOW!  That said, I was influenced to give it a try!

Merry Christmas BLK-way!

So, where do I start?

When I unboxed these on #AMWIGstories a few weeks ago, I was amazed on how lovely the packaging of the Holiday BLK Cosmetics are and I love how these are definitely worth looking into as a Christmas gift Ideas!  Everyone loves to own at least one BLK Cosmetics, I can vouch on that as I just had dinner with friends and they asked me about it!

When you shop for BLK Cosmetics, you also get their Holiday Tin Cans which can house your favorite lipsticks during travel.   Of course, you can put other items like keys, candies, gums and other stuff.

Aside from that, they also have a cute Holiday Pouch to house your makeup essentials, I love the print and I love how festive it looks!  RED is really my favorite color when it comes to pouches, wallets, even powerbanks!

BLK Intense Color Liquid Eyeshadow The Bomb is DA BOMB!

So this tiny tube of liquid eyeshadow is actually turning out to be a favorite "single shadow" and "base shadow" of mine!  Who would've thought applying liquid eyeshadow could be this easy?  And when I say easy, I'm saying this as a regular user --- not as a make up artist!

Score eyes to envy. Hark back to the brown obsession of two decades ago with this molten eye shadow that comes in two new gorgeously matte, neutral shades: cocoa and brick. The lightweight formula glides seamlessly on the lids, and dries down to a smooth, budge-proof finish. Minimum effort, maximum impact!

Housed in a lipgloss type of packaging with a doe-foot applicator, it is small but for me, it feels just right because a little goes a long way and I'd rather have something in smaller sizes to be able to use them til the bottom until next repurchase!

Am I too late with this review?

I hope not!  I finally get to try and talk about the BLK Velvet Lip Creams which I think works really well for users with extremely dry lips condition!  The matte ones I recently reviewed (BLK All-Day Intense Matte Lipsticks) are great but on some days that my lips have a mind of their own, application tends to be a bit harder than usual, there's a bit of tugging and worst, dry patches could appear (which happens to me on all matte lipsticks by the way!)

So thankfully, the brand created another version of their lipstick line meant for those who wants intense moisture in their lipsticks, I don't know about you but I NEED moisture in my life!

The brand released newer "All That Feels" recently (which I missed due to my Dad's situation), but hey!  Better late than never right?

So I realized I have 3 Intense Matte Lipsticks (and I have another 3 Velvet ones to be posted soon).  And guess what?  Not bad for a Matte Lipstick because they look good on my dry lips!

How does one knows if an Eyebrow Pencil works or not?

Well, it has to be extremely easy-to-use and the effect should always be natural - very natural that no one can tell you're wearing makeup!

When BLK Cosmetics launched their full face #UncomplicatedBeauty makeup products, I have to agree with Anne Curtis when she said, she wanted a makeup line so easy-to-use even those who aren't familiar with makeup techniques can use the products and feel good using them.

Out of all the BLK Cosmetics I've tried, I have to give them my thumbs up in this particular products called the Brow Sculpting Pencil Duo just because it works!  (And you all know how particular I am when it comes to reviewing eyebrow products!)

The BLK Cosmetics Brow Sculpting Pencil Duo  comes in 2 shades --- Natural Brown and Taupe.  Most Filipinas would probably pick a Natural Brown but if you wanted brows that doesn't have much reddish brown tint to it, you may want to look into this particular shade called TAUPE because it is one of the most natural-looking brow pencil shade - and there's not a lot of them!

BLK Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeliner Review

When BLK Cosmetics launched a couple of weeks ago!  One of the few products I immediately tested are the lipsticks then their Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeliner, just because I use liquid eyeliner on a daily basis too because it helps enhance my eyes even without the need of eyeshadow.

Thankfully BLK Cosmetics offers 2 shades, Black and Brown.  The Black one could look a bit too strong for daily mom-on-the-go look so I always opted for Brown, and as you all know, seldom do you find good brown liner color that gives the right amount of intensity.

Housed in a black liquid pencil liner packaging, it has a green strip which I'm unsure if the color changes if the color of the liner is black.  I like the simplicity of the design and the logo located at the center.

Everyone living in the Philippines knows Anne Curtis, and this photo taken at the BLK Cosmetics launch is "Ode to Anne Curtis' Red Lips".  She's known to be TOP Actress that can do a TV Show without wearing much makeup.  There were days I can see her bare skin and just wear a bright lipstick!  How many top actresses/performers can do that?
