Things did not change, I still trim and groom my brows the same way but this time, I am updating it for friends who are brave enough to use TWEEZERS!
I find using tweezers my favorite and MOST disliked way --- talk about being a girl! :P I love it for the fact that brow hairs grow slower as compared to using a shaver. The dislike? You all know how it can put you to tears! Especially since I really have thick brow hairs!
Without further ado, I have been fixing, trimming and grooming my brows this way the whole pandemic. I haven't gotten the chance to go to a Brow Waxing Salon aka BENEFIT BROW BAR so...sariling sikap!

I've done a lot of makeup workshops and I always get the same question: "How to create natural-looking brows?"
And when I check on their makeup kit, most of them own Brow Pencils and liners. I don't have a problem with that of course as all brow products can create natural-looking brows with the right application.
For first timers though, I highly recommend trying out brow powders - yes, scary to admit but brow powders are easier for first timer and the result will always be more natural.
Now that we put that thought away, I will share a brow kit I've been using for months now and I have also been double tasking this kit as an eyeshadow.
And since I have done gazillion of tutorials for brows, I will now share you an option to create defined brows or fluffy brows.
Defined brows are great if you are a professional who like to look more made-up and professional in front of people while fluffy is perfect if you want to create that natural, relaxed vibe.
Truth be told, there is no better than the other brow-style, it all depends on which brow style you feel good.
I have reviewed every single brow product from Benefit Cosmetics I believe.
As far as I remember, most of the eyebrow products from the brand earned at least a THUMBS up from me. Some earned 2 thumbs up! One of my favorite brow product from the brand is the Benefit Ka-Brow - shocking right? You would expect me to pick a pencil but brow cream/gel are actually easier to manage and gives off a more natural vibe! The only issue? I had a hard time using it with the small glass pot opening and how at times I get to “accidentally” not close the cap well making half of my Ka-Brow gel dry up!
I am not sure if the new Benefit POWmade Brow Pomade is somewhat a relative of Ka-Brow but if you ask my opinion, yes, it is really similar but housed in a way better packaging!

A week ago, I attended a virtual launch of Make Up For Ever PH’s Aqua Resist brow products! 3 new brow products under this line and I am featuring the 2 pencils because I have been using and testing these ever since I got them.
Multi-use slanted tip brow pencil with a built-in spoolie that delivers 24HR waterproof, smudge-proof wear. Ideal for patchy or sparse brows.
The pencil is thicker so it is easier to fill larger areas as compared to the Brow Definer. This is a retractable pencil and you get pigmented brow pencil with a nice touch of wax - yes, I can feel the wax as my stubborn brow hairs are pushed in place (even upwards without issue) upon using the product. I also like how it can “tint” my brow hairs naturally. Check out my before and after photo below.
As a make up artist, I have worked with so many types of brows! I even worked for a client who does not have ANY brows at all leaving my imagination to create new set of brows for her! A lot of times, my client would always say something about their brows. They would leave my imagination on Eyeshadow, blush and lip color but they really have a thing for sticking to what they were used to!
So this post, is a post of recommendation - I HIGHLY recommend you to work with different types of brows because it really can change up your overall look, vibe and feelings! There are times people say I look young, I look cuter, I look fresh or mature? Well, I have to thank (and no thank LOL) my brows for it.
Here’s an overview on how different brow shapes and shades can change your overall vibe. CAN YOU SEE WHAT I AM TRYING TO DO HERE?
My peg for this particular look are Kpop idols and K-stars! My brows are naturally bushy, dark and long so I had a hard time trying to conceal the rest of my brows but this was the closest so far. The effect is very kind, timid and shy. I would say this type of brows would work well if you have thin and sparse brows to start with so filling in with a brow pencil won’t make such drastic change to your look.
Bushy Brows ala Brooke Shields
Shade: 01 Soft Gray
This is a bit too much for me since I used a darker brow shade. The shade Soft Gray would work well on users with medium to dark complexion with dark colored hair! I find this to be youthful and perfect for teenagers who have brows all over the place and don’t know what to do with it.
Here’s a tip: Just fill in blank spots with a brow pencil similarly colored as your natural brow hair with a short hair-like strokes. The effect will be natural - I promise you.
Arched Brows
Shade: 03 Light Chocolate
This is my least favorite brows since my features are quite uhm...how do I say it, FLAT? Hahahah. Okay, I was trying to say is, my facial features are not distinct like that of a Western look. And my natural brow shape isn’t arched at all so forcing it to be arched looks a bit unnatural but for the sake of demonstration, I want you to see how having arched and very defined brows can change my look to be more mature, more professional and powerful?
Sometimes I would wear this type of brows when I attend meetings and also, I do this type of brows when I was doing makeup professionally because back then, I look so young that mothers and lolas of the bride and groom does not give me the time of the day! They won’t even listen to my suggestions and would complain every step of my application. Yeah...Professional MUA job isn’t easy ok?
So yes, authority? CHECK!
Power? CHECK!
Confidence? CHECK! On the outside but burning on the inside LOL!
Naturally YOU Brows
Shade: 07 Chestnut Brown
This brow shape I also call the “You Do You Brows”. For clients who ever have their brows drawn, I would use a light colored eyebrow pencil and just define what they have. I may fill in sparse areas but only with lighthand strokes. I would never go above or beyond whatever brow shape they have because I don’t want to shock them and make them hate brow products forever!
So this, is my natural brow shape and I actually LOVE it the most!

Hi AMW Friends. I have been in very good relationship with Benefit Cosmetics as a brand even way before they arrived in the Philippines. I remembered purchasing from online shops Benefit Box O’ Powders to Concealers and finally brow products when they were readily available locally.
Aside from great packaging and cute concepts, I can say, I love most of their product releases. There are a few that I can let go - just because they don’t work for my skin type, but I heavily rely on professionally (referring to Benefit’s POREfessional!).

Hi AMW Friends! You all know I love drawing my brows. Whenever I have them drawn, I get compliments on the shape and how full it was! I guess that is my most "flexed" part of my face! :P
So if you ask me, YES, I still gets excited about new brow products even after more than 10 years of trying various brands!
Recently, Instagram was flooded with a new brow brand called Strokes BeautyLab. I mean all the girls posing their photos look great! But what got me interested with the brand is how even non makeup wearers are starting to look like they have professional-looking brows!
And you all know me, I have to give these products a try as well! So I unboxed everything and did a quick swatch for you guys just in case you are interested in investing on good brow products. And to keep everything simplified, I created another video discussing on the usage of each product and you'll know which particular product (or products) you should get!

So here you go, finally, I've decided to fix my own brows and since I honestly know how to do it - I'm just too lazy because I always have Benefit Brow Bar to do it for me, I made it! I was able to film this quick tutorial and I hope you'll learn a thing or 2 from me!
A girl can invest only a TWEEZER or Eyebrow Shaver - whichever your heart desires.
I personally thing plucking is difficult especially for first-timers, I have HIGH TOLERANCE to pain but I swear, I still tear up until this very moment because my brow hairs are thick and they are just F**^^@*&# painful whenever I PULL a SINGLE hair strand! But, I love how I can control the amount of hair I would like to remove with a tweezer --- and this tweezer of mine - if you are a LONG LONG LONG TIME READER - you'll know it has been with me for more than a decade and until today, it is still the best Tweezer I bought for only Php120+ pesos!

Forgive my brows as they were on Holiday for the past weeks, was so busy taking care my dad, my son, my family while working so I actually tried to schedule brow waxing session but it never happened!

Well, not saying I found a magical tool, but I could almost call it magical because it is one of the easiest brow pencil I've used and tried!
Goodness. When I think about the brand Make Up For Ever and you ask me about their Brow Products, the first product that will appear on top of my head will be the famous AQUA BROW.
So famous I never owned one --- until recently.
What is wrong with me? *laughs* I guess when people are raving so much about a particular product, I give it a rest and just accept that they are good and think that my readers have enough reviews online and won't probably seek for my opinion anymore. (Yes guys, ang daming kong drama sa buhay! :P)
But what changed? Well, it was when a make up artist used the product on my brows, I immediately told myself -- screw reviews! I just want one!
As you all know, most tested great brow products aren't on top of my dresser table, ALL of them are inside my PRO Kit because I value clients more than myself! Keep in mind though that I don't use this daily, I only use this on days I attend meetings or special events because I'm always a pencil girl (Especially when I'm rushing and doing 5 minutes max makeup). This requres extra brush and you know how it is when you're a busy mom --- anything extra should be deleted in your life!
Wow, a Brow Crayon? A jumbo brow crayon? I find it a bit challenging for a first-timer to use a brow pencil I can't imagine using something as big as this crayon (shown on photo below). Why and how will this work out?
