How I Use Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo

How simple can a concealer/corrector/highlighter/contour product can get?

When you put them in a form of retractable pen packaging!  Laura Mercier did it this time in simplifying a busy woman’s life!  MY LIFE to be exact.

I dislike it when I am in the middle of bathing my son, cooking, washing dishes and I have to face someone in front of the video for a very short and quick meeting.  Imagine having to rummage through my makeup station for different makeup products?

Concealing is key!  I have been using foundations and concealers more often than when I was going out!  I can honestly skip a face powder/powder foundation, all I need to do is to conceal here and there and I can honestly look human in less than 5 minutes!  All thanks to products like the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo!

A two-in-one, full-coverage concealer with a weightless formula to quickly erase imperfections and brighten up the under-eye area.

I got 2 pens in shades 3C and N5 for my whole face and did not use anything else just to prove to you how a mom who usually sleeps around 3am can look decent.

Lily Lolo Corrector Review

Do you still remember my event post early this month on the new product offerings from Beauty Bar?  (you can refresh by clicking HERE).

One of the many brands they launched is called Lily Lolo.

With ALL the different makeup brands popping up, what makes Lily Lolo different from the others?

Let me mention a few for you!

First, Lily Lolo is made with LOVE, without Harmful ingredients.  Their products are made using only ingredients that are proven to nourish and protect the skin so no parabens, phthalates, synthetic perfumes, dyes, etc...  They are also cruelty-free so if you have very sensitive skin, you may want to look into this brand.

Second, Lily Lolo is created with different women in mind from all walks of life! No matter what your skin color is, your age, you'll get something for you!   That explains the wide array of shades available when I took a peek at the recent launch.

Lastly, the products are housed in a very simple yet nice packaging making it visually gorgeous to look at and easy to use even for first time makeup wearers!  I would say, in my point of view, this makeup line is perfect not just for personal but also for professional use!

With that intro, let me share to you my review on my first Lily Lolo product.  I got my eyes set on this Corrector in shade PeepO.  There are a total of 2 shades to choose from, the other one is called Blush Away.

All Around Concealer Palette for Daily Use

Is there a possibility to find a concealer/corrector palette that is apt for daily use?
A palette even a newbie can work around with?

YES, very much possible when I tried Catrice Cosmetics' All Around Concealer Palette (Php379.00).

Innisfree Smart Drawing Color Correcting Review

When Innisfree opened it's first store in Manila, I did not go crazy shopping as I knew the store stays for good!  But, I have a list on top of my head on what to get and one of them is "concealer".

I went ahead to ask the SA to take me to the concealer area and she took me to an area that confuses me a bit, I was given the option to choose from wide array of colors from the Smart Drawing Color Correcting Line.

In this line, there are a total of 18 shades - not all are for concealing and correcting but it also includes strobing, contouring, foundation and blusher.

Okay, I'm sure you'll get overwhelmed as well so don't be afraid to ask questions and talk to the friendly SAs, they are well-trained and they obviously knew what they are talking about.

Now back to my purchase, I picked 01 Apricot Peach because I always conceal my undereye dark circles, peach is a great color correcting shade to lighten up that area.

Half face test - applied alone!

An easy way for you to achieve an even skin tone is with innisfree Smart Drawing Color Correcting. With a couple of swipes, you can say goodbye to skin prone to dullness, redness, or a yellowish hue. * Apricot Peach: Correct blue tones like dark circles under your eye. * Vanilla Green: Tone down redness like natural flush or blemish on the cheek areas. * Cream Purple: Correct yellow hues and creates a natural, more lively skin tone. * Lemon Yellow: Lighten mild redness or visible veins and brighten up dull looking skin tones.

Bell HYPOAllergenic Anti-Redness Primer Review

One of the easiest "correcting" face primer to use as of writing.

Yes, it was a pleasant surprise when I did unboxing on a couple of Bell HYPOAllergenic makeup products and I chanced upon this primer.  I saw a green primer for the face and at the back of my head I was thinking: "There goes patchy primer that would stick on my dry areas leaving me spotted white cast!"

Then with a couple of pump, I applied it straight on my face during one of my #AMWIGStories unboxing session and it was in the middle of the day when my face was parch and dry.  Then I gave a loud "Oooohhh, this is nice!"

Then months after trying this, I still feel the same!

Product descxription ---
Neutralizes redness and conceals skin imperfections; making the blood vessels and discolouration is almost invisible. Moisturizes and smoothes the skin and visually extends the life of makeup. Light formula offers an easy and even application.

Housed in a glass with pump packaging, I wouldn't ask for anything else in terms of packaging.  You see how much product is left (which is always a thumbs up for me) and a pump is nice to control the right amount of product to be dispensed.

Banila Co. Color Correct CC Color Spot Concealer Review

Who loves concealer and depend on them as much as I do?  Raise your hands please!
I use them up so much I keep on purchasing them!   As much as I have my favorites on top of my head, I can't help but try different brands and share to you my thoughts on them.

Are you ready for another concealer review this time from Banila Co.?

Well, technically, the real concealer from the brand is called Real Stay Concealer which I reviewed HERE,  the brand may be into natural-looking makeup, I was a bit surprised as well that they offer CC line (Color Correction).  Don't worry though, this line is more on the subtle side, not the PRO shades wherein you need to have a bit of makeup artistry background to be able to pull it off.

This is subtle, and I like it for daily use!

It is packaged conveniently in a thin twist stick that is compact and easy to carry. If your skin concerns are isolated in a small area of your face, this would easily spot correct them in a whim. Simply dab on the trouble areas and blend away with your fingers.

How to Make An Orange Concealer Work!

How scary could a corrector get?
Well, if you own a deep orange corrector/concealer, you'll know it's scary especially since I have fair skintone.

I have an L.A. Girl PRO.conceal HD.High Definition Concealer (Php399.00) sitting inside my "to review products" basket.  It was there for quite some time before I decided to whip it out especially on those 2 weeks that I was extremely sick!

Dark circles enhanced from all the coughing and lack of sleep....I knew it was the best time to try this conconcealer...well, the name states concealer but I would like to call this a corrector.

a photo of L.A. Girl Pro.Conceal HD Concealer

Housed in a tube packaging with brush just like that of a Stila Lip Glaze where product comes out from the center of the brush on each squeeze, I am not sure if I like this packaging or not.  Honestly speaking, I like how the brush is easy-to-use and how it the tube can easily dispense the right amount of product needed, I am just on the "OC" side worrying about the excess product left on brush.  I personally prefer this to be in just a simple plastic tube packaging without a brush BUT, this is perfect if you do not have a separate brush to apply your concealer.

What do you think about the packaging?

How to Use the Yves Rocher Radiant Youth Corrector Pen

So, I visited Yves Rocher store at SM Aura a couple of months ago and shopped for Christmas when I've decided to pick this after "missing" my The Body Shop Lightening Touch Pen.  Aside from that, the packaging reminds me so much of the most coveted YSL Touche Eclat so I had to pick this up!

a photo of Yves Rocher Radiant Youth Corrector Pen in Beige review.

And as always, I read a couple of online reviews even after sharing my first use on IG Stories (it was a success by the way and you guys can see the difference).  But as a researcher, I always wanted to understand the product more!  So after reading sites on how to maximize the use of Yves Rocher Radiant Youth Corrector Pen, I also came across negative reviews about this product.  So I guess, I was honestly surprised because most of the users were expecting this to work as a concealer, but this definitely isn't one!

So this post is to share how to "really" use the corrector pen and how to maximize the positive result.

Why do I sound so serious? :P

Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer Review

I hailed Urban Decay Primer Potion as the best eye primer of all time and the inexpensive version will be the Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer.  Then the rest?  They all come in between.

Who would've thought years after, I could possibly find something that could actually bump Urban Decay down to the 2nd spot?

Maybe..just maybe... Benefit Air Patrol.

A photo of Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer

The name is catchy, like most Benefit products and I like how it's uniquely called Air Patrol and yet, it is a BB Cream Eyelid Primer, can you see the connection?  I can't though...brain fart...please tell me! :P

How To: Cream Contour and Highlight using Pro 15 Color Corrector Palette

Just when I was about to go out, thankfully, the ever loyal Photographer of mine Mr. AMW was available to take a photo of me doing a complete Contour and Highlight using cream concealers.  Now before you go: "Cream what?  WHY?"  well, the effect is really nice and it isn't as hard as it looks/sound!

P.S. In this photo-torial, I used Pro 15 Color Corrector Palette from Pro Studio Beauty!  The quality is amazing, you get most of the shades you need for both concealing and correcting.  The best part?  This palette is inexpensive (Priced less than Php600.00 for the whole palette)!  (Available at Glambox Beauty Studio Unit 2C Valuepoint Building, 227 Salcedo St. Legaspi Makati, you may call 09158342023)

And no, you won't look like a Drag Queen...and I got proofs!

Benefit Perk Up Artist Custom Complexion Correctors Review

Do you need to hide those redness and under eye circles and need some boost on your complexion but  too lazy to reach out for 3 products in the morning?  Well, I'm glad to share that Benefit came up with Perk Up Artist!  The first time I saw the product, I couldn't put my finger on what this product was until I opened the lid!  Come on, you tell me, without reading the description, would you know what this product does??? :P

(Photo below) I have this wild imagination of a portable jukebox playing 1950's song as soon as I open the lid *laughs*  Okay, since he's holding a brush, he COULD be an artist, a painter...or a crazy guy right at the corner of our neighborhood! :P
