Huda Beauty Blur Bake Snatch Look

 

I am a fan of Huda Kattan and I am one of those who got excited when she launched her make up line!

"I NEED to get this!"  Need is an understatement but you all know that by now!  I got myself her eyeshadow palettes and did a Love Month Look with it exactly 2 years ago and even did a Sand Haze Look (name of her palette) inspired look as I love the shades of her eyeshadow palette.

Early this year, I was invited to HudaBeauty Blur, Bake and Snatch event at Look at Me SM Aura and I had to free up my schedule to be there.

Let us start my review with the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Luminous Matte Foundation in shade Apple Pie.  Disclaimer, Apple Pie foundation was given to me during the event and this isn't my exact shade when I did a swatch with their in-house makeup artist.  Thankfully, the shade is "workable" and it actually worked much better to create a snatched look.

Closer photo.  My friend even DM'd me after seeing this photo thinking I had a huge black eye on my other eye.  I mean they seriously didn't think I even had foundation on!  It looked so natural on photos but let me tell you how it looks in person.

Apple Pie is not my shade so it is actually a bit darker in person.  Thankfully, the Concealer that came with the press kit is too light on me so it worked so well as a highlight/contour product.

Achieve Long and Healthy Hair Easily

My hair story is an open book.  

I color it, cut it in crazy layers, style it using all sorts of styling tools and even go on an annual rebond session --- yes, beautiful hair needs a lot of work for me, so if you have insanely beautiful hair without having to spend or do anything --- drop down on your  knees and thank the hair heavens!

As early as Freshman High, I knew that I wanted healthy hair because it is naturally dry, frizzy and "poufy".  I envy my sister's long, straight, shiny hair and wondered how sisters can have such different hair genes!  

One of the brand I really invested for my hair is Kerastase --- the brand and I had a loooooong history!  I told myself I'll purchase a Kerastase hair treatment when I got my first salary but that didn't happen --- becuase Mr. AMW (then boyfriend) was the one who bought it for me as gift!  Yes, our gift-giving does not circulate only on chocolates and flowers, Mr. AMW knew me too well to gift me such because he knew this is worth more than flowers and chocolates #RealTalk 

I have experimented a lot of hair color for the past years and I realized that my hair has been going through all those stress, it doesn't grow as fast as it did several years back.  So it was perfect timing when Kerastase launched their Kerastase Resistance Extentioniste range.

 This is the first hair program designed to optimize and reinforce the length of damaged hair.

Weekend Food Trip at: Rackshack, SM Aura

When you pass by a restaurant in the middle of the afternoon and you see it packed with people dining, you'd want to give it a try too right?

Well, that's for our case!  Whether it's 2pm or 3pm or even at weird hours like 4pm!  Whenever we see a new restaurant packed with happy customers, we just had to go in --- it's exactly like me seeing a new collection of makeup displayed!  

I had a quick work  stint at SM Aura and I had Kyle, Mr. AMW with me!  They waited for me at the toy store and what to do after we reunited?  Bond over food!

Rackshack has been around for quite some time and I've seen some posts on Instagram.  Whenever you see a pile of different BBQ sauces piled right on the table, you know you'll find something you like for sure!

Happy Skin x Sanrio Characters Launch

When Happy Skin announced a collaboration with Sanrio, I knew cuteness overload is coming!  And when I saw the collection in person last September 14, 2017, I can hear beauty enthusiasts like myself say: "Take My Money Away!!!"

Included in the collaboration are Hello Kitty, My Melody and Little Twin Stars.  I'm sure most of you already took a pick on your favorites.  I, the Queen of Cuteness, will NOT play favorites as I love ALL Sanrio Characters.

Todd English Food Hall Review

I went to dine at Todd English Food Hall at SM Aura a couple of times for events.  The experience has always been wonderful so one fine weekend, I've finally decided to take my family to experience the good food I experience whenever I go to events.

We've decided to check out online reviews on what's the best food to order and we went for that, no need to think or decide!

We started off with ....

Calamari

Deep fried tender calamari, chipotle chorizo dipping sauce

This is a MUST if you are a fan of calamari!  I like how it's soft on the inside (easy-to-chew) yet extremely crunchy on the outside.

AMW Wears: Yosi Samra v2.0

You see me wear heels most of the time on event photos but I have a tiny secret --- I always have extra flats inside the car or bag!  

I can't survive wearing heels the whole day like most of my friends do, I spell heels with "hells" so many times I think it sums up my feeling whenever I wear them!  And flats aren't as comfortable as they seem, I've tried so many brands out there and there are only a handful that I can totally say: "Truly Comfortable."

 So when I got an invite to check out Yosi Samra's core collection which is also their v2.0, I, for once, who owned a couple of v1.0 had to check these out.

The store was located at SM Aura and I immediately spotted the pairs I like to own!  But first thing's first, are they more comfortable now?

I tested a pair over and over again and even had to wear them chasing after a toddler at a park, inside the mall, carry him up and down several flights of stairs just because he doesn't like walking!  Checking my toes and feet right now, they look alright!  And I feel great!

Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner Launch at Paul SM Aura

When you are A Beauty Blogger, you've probably came across the brand Bioderma.  And if that brand comes to mind, the next phrase would be --- Miscellar Water.  Yes, that's what Bioderma is famous for!  But after meeting several times with DMark Beauty CEO Ms. Nikki Tang, I got to learn so much about the brand and the products they offer.  Bioderma is indeed more than just a cleansing water.  Bioderma is BIOlogy at the service of DERMAtology!

 BIODERMA is founded by pharamacist-biologist, thus, the brand has developed innovative approach based on dermatological biology adapted to each skin type and each cutaneous disorder.  What struck me after learning about the brand?  The fact that BIODERMA has pioneered skincare that not only corrects skin disorders, but also acts on skin's natural biological processes so skin could naturally restore itself on a daily basis.  This is one thing I learn about the brand, no other brand has offered!  

Last April 28th, was the launch of BIODERMA Sebium Pore Refiner.  Together with a small group of Beauty Bloggers, we also got up close and personal with the rest of the Sebium line.

Estée Lauder First Boutique Launch at SM Aura

You all know by now that Estée Lauder is highly important in my life especially for someone in mid-30s (okay, I lied, I should call myself late 30's na! hahaha)  If you think the brand Estée Lauder is only for older generation, well, you're wrong!  Have you seen their color makeup?  Have you tried their base makeup?

As much as you want to steer clear from visiting any Estée Lauder boutique, now you just can't miss it!  The brand just opened its very first stand-alone boutique in the country at SM Aura and it is too hard to miss!

Weekend Food Delivery at: Greenwich

Upon seeing the commercial of Greenwich Pizza Thins, I told myself: "I got to have that!"  

I have always been a fan of thin crust pizza and I want them super crunchy and have a cracking sound on EACH bite!

I don't know about you, but thin crust pizzas out there aren't "thin" enough for me!  I'm looking for that particular "almost cracker" like think texture and of course, I am definitely looking for that crunchy bite!  

Then I finally got to try it! 

The newest Greenwich Pizza Thins definitely have that flavorful taste like other Greenwich pizzas, but I personally think because of it's super thin crust, you appreciate more of the aroma, the taste and texture bite after bite.  

AMW Reports: Kipling Store at SM Aura

Check out these monkeys, don't they look like they're trying to say something to you?
For me, they only mean one thing: "Mr. AMW, me and Baby AMW!" 

Yes!  We're a family of monkeys and I'm proud of it!  *laughs*  

But seriously speaking, upon seeing this, a brand will definitely pop on top of your head!  They are definitely Kipling Monkeys!  What makes them even more unique?  Each of these Kipling monkeys have their own names, so aside from Baby Kyle Nash, I also have baby Monkey Katia (blue monkey) and a green one which I can't seem to read the name anymore as I have both bags for years!

When I was invited to visit Kipling store at SM Aura on a weekend, I immediately said yes because I have only been at SM Aura twice and I want to take time to really check out what the mall has to offer.  We had a scrumptious lunch at Paul and we headed straight to the Kipling store and my jaw dropped!  The store is indeed 10x more beautiful than what I've imagined! 

Note:  I always frequent at the Kipling Robinsons Ermita branch and I was expecting the SM Aura branch to look exactly the same!
